Grange Portland Hotel

Bloomsbury London|0.17km from Bloomsbury Square
A company opened several hotels in the same community, and it was originally scheduled to be Portland. Later, it was said that it was contracted by the government, so it was changed to the deluxe room in Buckingham next door (the area was visually 20 square meters +) and then returned For late check-out and great, I spent 18 pounds and added an English breakfast. The restaurant is on the first floor of the Whitehall Farm Hotel (back-to-back with the British Museum), divided into indoor and outdoor gardens (just below the British Museum/pictured), and the environment is great ! Without air conditioning, it’s hotter in summer, but it’s cooler to sleep when you open the window. Go to the main entrance of the British Museum, the intersection of the road is the coco milk tea shop (3min walk), which is great, and walk in the opposite direction on the same street (about 3min walk from the hotel) and you will see the Hunan Renxiang Restaurant! For a Hunanese, this is simply great! The location of the hotel is very good, the service staff are very enthusiastic, and the customer service is also very good! The decoration of the room is partial to the old school British style. After all, it is an old property in the city center. Whether you like it or not depends on personal preference. I went to sleep when I was too tired. I only stayed for one night. I didn’t have time to take pictures of the room. I want to live here next time I go 😁

DoubleTree by Hilton London – West End

Doubletree Hilton is always my go-to and having saved more money via trip and Hilton not price matching, i was worried I would not get my Hilton benefits. However, I was able to choose my room to check in as per, however Hilton seems to have a habit now of when you arrive finding out room has been changed and they apparently upgrading you but it's not actual upgrade! I was given choice of 2 rooms eventually and still pleased with it, Nice view, although a tad noisy on 5th floor facing the main road. Ample space, comfy bed, good size bathroom. Breakfast was actually one of the nicest I've had in a hotel in a long time. Front desk was very helpful and easy to deal with. Bar allowed me to get ice and water to take to my room. Location was spot on with access to tube and buses. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.
NYX Hotel London Holborn by Leonardo Hotels

Had such a great stay here, upon arrival we received drinks vouchers to use at the hotel bar (which was amazingly decorated). The staff were all extremely nice and couldn’t do enough to help! The room was spotless and the bed was probably one of the most comfortable hotel beds I have slept in. The shower was great, although the bathroom was a little bit tight, and the toiletries smelt amazing. There was lots of little bits that made the hotel stand out, like the free arcades and photo booth. The pool was beautiful and atmosphere was super relaxing. The breakfast was also very nice, there was a large variety of food and drink to choose from, and was constantly being updated. I would definitely stay here and again.

Very good location (near everything - close to British Museum but we did 1 week of visits mostly by walk). Human size hotel with a very good service. Nice breakfast and spacious rooms. Reasonnable Price for London. We really enjoyed this hotel (we spend 1 week during August in a 4 person room).

The hotel location is close to the British Museum, not far from the subway, convenient transportation, but not chaotic, it can be described as a quiet place. Breakfast is ok, bread can be freshly baked with the waiter. The indoor environment is more British style, very nice and clean. The big bed room we live in is semi-underground. It should be better if we can live upstairs.

This hotel is a complete ”bait and switch”... totally dated, dirty and dingy. The single-key-latched door was like an aged apartment. The photos on the website do NOT show an accurate picture of the room we stayed in. It was small and barely basic. Two single ”metal framed” beds with one pillow on one bed and two on the other, for some odd reason. Seemingly clean but very minimal. The window is a fire hazard... the outer (original) windows do not close and the inner windows do not open (due to the curtain rail impeding it). The place was tired and had peeling and cracked ceilings. The bathroom was a small all in one ”unit” as in an RV... all plastic... so compact that when you sat on the toilet your face barely missed the small sink... the shower unit directly in front. There was a short pull switch for the lighting in the bathroom and there were cigarette burns on the sink on the ledge behind the toilet. The TV was minute (about the size of a laptop) but we could not even switch it on... no remote and could not find a switch on the unit. No amenities whatsoever.. a towel with a sachet of soap.... no kettle or anything else. Linoleum floors and a small desk which was chipped and scratched. The toilet in the hallway reeked of urine. We told the reception we felt the room and the TV were tiny... not what we expected for the money. That was when we first arrived. We were staying for one night and decided to grin and bear it... after we returned much later.. after dinner and theatre.... we realised just how bad it was... but we were pretty stuck. The tiny table fan they gave after we requested it... was so cheap it fell apart as we handed it back as we left. All in all the worst hotel I have ever stayed in... I would only recommend people NOT stay there. We certainly will not ever again.
