"July 2026 I recently stayed at the Hyatt Regency Naha, Okinawa, and had a fantastic experience. The location is incredibly convenient — it is less than a 5-minute walk to the lively Naha Kokusai Dori Shopping Street, making it easy to head out for food, shopping, and exploring at any time. The hospitality here is top-notch; every staff member I encountered was warm, helpful, and genuinely friendly. For anyone planning a road trip around Okinawa, the hotel offers on-site parking for an additional fee, which made managing our rental car incredibly stress-free. As someone who likes to keep up with a fitness routine, I was impressed by the gym. It is nicely renovated, clean, and the equipment was more than sufficient for my workout needs. Overall, it was a thoroughly pleasant stay. I would choose to stay here again on my next trip to Okinawa!"

"The location and the fact that the hotel was new and clean were definitely the standout points. One area that could be improved is the parking process. I had to repeatedly keep and present the same parking slip multiple times just to park and retrieve the car. It felt unnecessarily cumbersome - ideally, there should only be a single verification at the car park lift, rather than additional checks at the driveway or again at reception during check-out. In terms of amenities, the hotel is good overall, but it could be even better with the addition of a coin-operated laundry area. I may have been slightly spoiled by the hotel I stayed at earlier in Chatan, where each room came with its own washing machine and even included two packets of laundry detergent."

"The staff were really nice. Even though there was a language barrier with the lady downstairs, she was very patient and used a translation app to communicate with us. However, the app wasn't very accurate. When we went upstairs to check in, it turned out there was a ********* person at the front desk, which was great. Still, we had to wait quite a while to check in, even though there was no one else at the desk at the time. The room was pretty spacious, and everything else was fine. The location is also quite convenient, and the restaurant downstairs is good. After checking in, it was past 3 PM, so we went downstairs to eat. The server asked if we wanted the restaurant or cafe. When she gave us the menu, we realized we only had about five or six minutes before lunch orders closed, but they still took our order! The set meal and the beef rice bowl were both really delicious. Definitely worth trying if you're staying here."

"First, let's talk about the location: If you're using Naha city as a transit hub and plan to travel around Okinawa by public transportation, I highly recommend staying near the Naha Bus Terminal. 1. Many express long-distance buses depart from here. 2. It's also where Asahibashi Station for the Yui Rail (monorail) is located within Naha city. The Yui Rail is punctual and convenient, taking you to places like the museum, Shuri Castle, and more. 3. You can also walk directly to Naminoue Shrine, and it's not far from Kokusai Street (both about a 15-minute walk). It's also very close to the Don Quijote in Tsubogawa. One more thing: there are many hotels around Asahibashi Station, all sharing a covered pedestrian bridge that connects the bus terminal and Yui Rail station. So, there isn't much difference in terms of location. I chose this particular hotel based on room size. Now, about the hotel itself: You can access the hotel elevators on both the first and second floors, taking you directly to the 14th-floor front desk. Check-in at the front desk was thorough but a bit slow. At the front desk, you can pick up daily amenities like bath salts, sunscreen, shower gel, face masks, makeup remover, etc. There's also that blue herbal tea... On the 14th floor, you have to switch elevators to reach the guest room floors. Whenever I hung the 'please clean' sign when going out, the room was always tidied up and looked brand new upon my return, with daily consumables replenished. Oh, and I really loved the sencha coffee machine in the room; I'd have a cup or two every day after coming back. I even watched a Norway vs. England World Cup match on NHK BS 4K on the TV. There are many supermarkets downstairs, and various dining options like izakayas and Okinawan restaurants are all within walking distance. I stayed for 4 days and was very satisfied overall."

"This hotel is nowhere near the 5-star standard advertised on Trip.com and is, at best, a 3-star property. The facility hours are very limited, especially for a hotel claiming to be luxury. The rooftop bar closes at 9 pm, which is far too early, and we were also told at check-in that access to the infinity pool costs extra at around JPY 1,100 per adult. Charges like this should be made clear upfront, not casually mentioned on arrival. Breakfast was decent enough, with an adequate selection, but the process was unnecessarily frustrating. Guests had to register in advance for a roughly 45-minute timeslot, and during our visit we were asked to provide a QR code. It felt overly complicated and poorly managed when they could simply have checked our room number and names instead. The only real positive was the reception staff, who were friendly, welcoming, and helpful with our requests. Unfortunately, good staff alone cannot make up for the limited facilities, extra charges, and inconvenient procedures. Overall, this hotel does not deliver a 5-star experience and feels misleadingly advertised."

"Nice hotel and rooms. Just within the hotel lobby, there is a 7-11 which is very convenient. - The flexibility of the front desk staff need to improve. Check in at 2pm, arrive 1.30pm. Staff still wanted to upsell for early check in. This is something out of the ordinary person / team can think of ! - shortly after checking in, I get to know that the swimming pool is closed till June/July. Service recovery should be done. Example: Early check in, complementary breakfast and etc. - the fitness Center may add in some machine since it’s have the space."

"Extremely clean and tidy. The room is very large and spacious for Japan. The surroundings are incredibly convenient, with Lawson, 7-Eleven, and other convenience stores right downstairs. It's also very close to day tour meeting points and Kokusai-dori, and about a 16-minute walk to the pier (for glass-bottom boats/whale watching tours). Highly recommended."

"We stayed for 4 nights and 5 days. The best part about staying with a 4-year-old baby was that the food was truly excellent. We booked a package that included breakfast, and we were very satisfied that the breakfast voucher could also be used for lunch. In particular, I highly recommend trying the Japanese-style lunch course we had on the last day, as it consisted of dishes comparable to those found in high-end hotels. The staff were generally friendly, but it was a bit disappointing that on the day we had the Japanese breakfast, they tried to seat us in a corner table, perhaps because we had a baby with us. The swimming pool is not large, but it was sufficient for enjoying, and the location was not bad, as it takes about 15 minutes to walk to Kokusai Street. However, please note that there are no convenience stores nearby, so you have to travel about 5 minutes to get there. Overall, I was very satisfied with the food and the condition of the accommodation, but if your itinerary involves a lot of sightseeing and traveling, I recommend considering the location a little more carefully."
