Hotel Sole

This hotel is a diamond in the rough! We booked a 2 week holiday via TUI and are not disappointed, in actual fact we are really chuffed with our choice of hotel for our 1st holiday on the Amalfi coast. The hotel sits above probably one of the best restaurants in Maiori, the food is just sublime, it truly is! There are 2 floors, numbers 5 and 6, we are actually in an individual room, number 47 which is on the rooftop and we have an entire 360 degree rooftop terrace all to ourselves, the views are just mind blowing and lots of space to chill out after a day exploring. The room itself is spacious with a double bed, large wardrobe, shower, toilet, bidet and even a washing machine which we've actually used for our smalls, oh and there's even a fridge and a TV, although all channels are Italian. The room is kept clean and bed made with towel change every day if needed. We don't have a single complaint. Breakfast on the terrace every morning with a great selection 👌 omelettes, crispy bacon, lots of different filled croissant cake biscuits, juice, and a great bean to cup coffee machine 😋. The terrace also hosts a bar around 5pm serving some great top shelf spirits as well as house spirits if on a budget. The restaurant 😍 is just fantastic 👌 the food the drink and the service from the very attentive staff. This hotel is just amazing it truly is. Oh, not forgetting the hotel has a lido, beach bar and sun loungers across the Rd. The loungers are fairly priced and food is good. We have only just completed our 1st week here and have another week to go but felt I just had to write this review. One other reason for booking here is the location it just makes the perfect base for exploring the Amalfi coast, with a great bus route bus stop directly outside the hotel and ferries to every single destination on the coast. Its also very close to Salerno where the trains leave to Pompeii and Naples. To us booking this hotel was a no brainer and we're so glad we did.

Just back from a wonderful week in Maiori. We enjoyed our stay at the Sole hotel very much. The room was very basic, but very comfortable and clean. Rooms cleaned daily. An amazing view from our room overlooking the sea and the mountains. An even better view from the terrace where we enjoyed a good breakfast each morning and a cocktail bar at night to watch the sun go down . The restaurant on the ground floor was very good. We had tried others near by but the Sole was by far the best. Service was good in the restaurant and very lovely helpful staff throughout the hotel. The perfect location to visit the Amalfi coastline.

What a lovely hotel, the staff were so helpful, Christiana & Valentino could not help you enough for any needs that we required they and their team are a credit to the hotel. We had the most beautiful room with amazing views, if you are fortunate enough to stay here room 47 is a real treat. Fantastic hotel, location is perfect and the staff are very helpful, from the receptionist to the waiters in the restaurant and most of all the singing waitress who provides a lovely breakfast!! We were lucky enough to be given room 47….all I can say is WOW, the room itself is clean but basic but the terrace more than makes up for that!!…The views from the terrace are amazing, a superb place to view the sunset!…we will definitely be back!

A central location right on the main road and just a few minutes walk from the main area of Maiori. We were in room 33, a plus being that we got a balcony with a sea view and glorious views. The road was noisy at times although this is to be expected. There there was a nearby bar that played loud music and what sounded like karaoke until 3am on four nights of the 14 we were there however there were shutters on the patio door which helped to reduce some of the noise. We were directly underneath the garden terrace where they serve breakfast so we could hear chairs and movement from 7am onwards, again to be expected. The room was basic but functioned well with nice comfortable single beds which were put together to make a double. There was a fan and air conditioning, both essential with temperatures exceeding 30 degrees. The bathroom was tiled and fairly modern with a good shower, there was a hairdryer (although we didn't use) in the bathroom. There was a dressing table with a decent sized mirror and a small dressing table. The wardrobe was just about sufficient, although we did take a lot of clothes - we were staying for two weeks. There was a safe within the room which we used to store passports etc. The room was cleaned daily unless we specifically asked for it not to be. Towels and linen were refreshed. The breakfast was served on the terrace and there was a good selection of typical continental foods such as omelettes with cheese and ham, bacon. There were a couple of cereals on offer, toast, croissants and locally produced cakes such as lemon. The drinks machine gave the option of various coffees, hot water for tea and there were juices available too. We ate in the restaurant on two occasions, the food was nice enough and typical of what was available in surrounding restaurants. The staff were very busy although very friendly and approachable. Overall we had a great holiday and the hotel was in the perfect position for us to be able to explore the Amalafi coast by bus, boat and train. If you are looking for a quiet location within the region, Hotel Sole probably isn't ideal but with it's superb location, it really does depends on what your priority is.

This was our first holiday since 2020 so we were slightly nervous. On arrival at the hotel the staff were so friendly and welcoming and it seemed we had been upgraded to one of the apartments. What a lovely surprise. The apartment was spacious, with separate bedroom and living room area with kitchen. The balcony was massive with fantastic views. The hotel is in a brilliant location on the sea front so great to walk everywhere. Breakfast was included so we had pastries, meat, fruit, omelets etc so loads of choice. Again the staff were so friendly and attentive, even remembering our drink choices after a couple of days!!! We ate out with the exception of one night. The meal in the hotel was amazing, and great value for money. In terms of location we could walk to Amalfi, Minori and Ravello so plenty of walking and lots of beautiful places to explore. We came across lots of nice places to eat. We would really recommend this hotel and the area. A perfect week.

We stayed on the sixth floor and had a lovely sea view from our spacious balcony. The room had all we needed and was comfy albeit maybe basic for some. Breakfast was on the terrace from 7-10 with croissants, cakes, meat , coffee and a lovely view out over the sea. Lift cosy and we walked. Really handy for the beach and free public one about 5 minutes to the left. Close to town and so some nights the sound of music till late but not to worry. The staff were good and a nice restaurant at the hotel. We would stay again, there is a city tax of 3 euros per day

This place is AMAZING! Our room had a balcony that overlooking the ocean so you could hear the waves all night. The staff go out of their way to make you feel right at home. We stayed for 6 days and felt like part of the family. The attached restaurant and bar is so good, serving delicious fare and drinks. The breakfast is absolutely fantastic! There’s lots to explore close by or hop a ferry or bus to explore further out. Either way, you’re in for a treat if you stay at this hotel. We will definitely stay here again when we return this summer. Can’t wait! 😄
