Hotel Alte Vogtei

30 minutes drive from Nuremberg, and you are in tiny medieval town of Wolframs-Eschenbach. It looks like it was built for knights movie or medieval festival. It is as small as some 300meters in diameter, inclosed in city wall with guarding towers. In a very center you find Alte Vogtei hotel, in classical Franconian timber-framed house. But don't be mistaken, the hotel's inside is very modern and very well designed, even elevator is there. Rooms are comfortable and very clean, with spacious bathroom with shower. Bed is large, mattress is on the hard side, different pillows to chose from, also the quietness of town ensures great sleep. Hotel's staff is very helpful and attentive. Breakfast is really good, quality choice of different coffee from machine, juices, freshly baked breads, bacon, sausages, boiled and scrambled eggs, different cheese and hams, and many more. Nice wellness in basement, with two saunas, one of them is relly good, infrared room and water massage bed, all icluded in stay price. But true gem of Alte Vogtei is it's restaurant, which honestly deserves Michelin star or two. Local, European and even Oriental cuisine is exceptional. Good choice of Bavarian beers. Note, the kitchen takes orders until 8:30pm, so be in time. Free parking on site or nearby. Overall pleasant and reaxing stay.

More can not be expected from a hotel in the countryside, both the excellent and professional service and the beautifully renovated and clean rooms can be seen. A wow experience kept the varied breakfast ready for me. It was rarely a breakfast in this price class.

We had booked another hotel for a weekend, but due to a (over)booking error, we organized two double rooms in this wonderful small hotel. We would be warmly welcome (parking in front of the door) and received clean friendly, colourful and quiet rooms with balcony backwards. All very clean. There is a small living room where drinks with string list and room number can be taken on a confidence basis and you can still get good evening can stay. Breakfast buffet was delicious/fresh and the selection of sauce, cheese, marmelade, eggs, yoghurt, fruit, musli and fresh breads was wonderful. The hotel is also recommended for fishing. The location is recommended for excursions in the surroundings such as Brombachsee, Altmühlsee, Castle Denneloher etc. We had a nice weekend trip. We would like to have another kiss at the room, as the normal was a little too low and we did it only in the night have noted.
Land-Gut-Hotel Hotel Adlerbräu

The room is quite large, suitable for a family of three, the room is very clean and tidy, in the busiest street, the hotel has its own ground parking lot, the hotel restaurant is also good, all German elderly travel here, did not see the Chinese, The service is also very enthusiastic. This small town is more suitable for leisure and vacation, and the food is not expensive.

What you talk about 4-Sterne-Plus here doesn't get me out. It should be called 4-Sterne-Minus. It is a totally normal house, though quite old and partly used to. It was built in the early 1990s and probably has not done much since. furniture, beds, floors: This is no longer the stand you expect today. The whole suggestion is very old and mostly offering. It may be suitable for the client. This is also true for the restaurant, but it is not as bad as some reviews suggest here. The room was large enough (24 qm), the bathroom too. However, the shower is only available for slim people. I came in and out with a hard time, though I am not one of the thick contemporary. On the caught ground, water gathers and flows towards the door, but there is a stage (!) stop (respect for falling risk). The location right at the river is good (however, the hotel is surrounded by several huge parking sites). Who knows how this feels in the high season. The wheel worked well, breakfast was OK, but nothing special. The ”experience” bathroom is halfway space, one of the few bedrooms to gather, however, also in the side-side season luck. The staff is overall friendly. However, the bill could not be explained at the check-out.
