We have just had an amazing meal at Restaurant Crotin. We were greeted by an extremely polite and very professional young man called Abdul. We asked for his advice in choosing the best wine to go with our meal and he was extremely knowledgeable and suggested wine that went perfectly. I’m English and although I’ve lived in Italy for 10 years I sometimes struggle with the language, our waiter was very polite and patient, well mannered and professional at all times. He was very quick to take our order and our food arrived in no time at all. The quality of the food in this restaurant is top notch!! I’ve just had the Plin, the sea bass and the pears in wine for desert. All absolutely amazing. A very high end luxury restaurant with great staff. A real asset to the hotel ‘Castello Montaldo’.

We spent 4 nights in the hotel. Upon arrival, you will find out that the parking lot and the reception are quite far from each other and no one will help you with your suitcases. We were warmly welcomed at the reception and we were given a free upgrade to a suite, which pleased us, but the room was not much. Although the room was very spacious, the equipment was really outdated and not in good condition. The whirlpool in the room was moldy, there was a lack of towels in the room and they were not replenished at the back. On the penultimate day, no one even came to clean the room and change the towels The staff didn't speak much English, but some didn't speak Italian either. The breakfast was very average, rather bad, the coffee never arrived. The indoor pool was very small and there were no hand pools available. no one was available to help you. The outdoor spa was nice. If you wanted to order a drink by the outdoor pool, it was very difficult to get a waiter. The same waiter then served dinners. we had the feeling that he is the only waiter in the whole hotel. We will definitely not return to the hotel, we were really disappointed. What's good - location - 20 minutes by car to Turin.

Castello di Montaldo is a lovely place to spend a weekend with the family, but my stay was ruined by the masseur at the spa. Totally unprofessional, when I arrived for my appointment he was watching a tennis match on his phone and didn't turn it off. I had booked a 25min back and leg massage but the masseur spent most of the time massaging my buttocks which made me extremely uncomfortable. The massage lasted 40min instead of 25min (he took his time...) but it didn't relax me at all. The masseur's name was Pier, don't book anything with him !!!!

Horrible experience from begining to the end. I know its an old castle,but was not expecting a medieval experience.
The staff barelly speaks any english and does little to help
The rooms where full of bugs, the staff sugestion : turn the lights of so the bugs go to sleep,or we were given a tall broom to do it ourselfs.
During the day the rooms where too hot, the AC wasnt working. Staff says its because its winter already. During the night the rooms were freezing cold, the staff saya they cant do anything.
Breakfast had a couple savory options,if you want salmonella. The eggs sit there from begining to the end of the breakfast service.
Tvs in the suite dont work, the only solution provided was new batteries to the remote.
Tried to speak to management for 3 days straight but somehow he was always on meetings. Still waiting for the promised call back.

Unique location, fascinating building. Understaffed, missing basic amentit in the room (bathrobe, hairdryer), dining overpriced with shortcomings.

It looks nice from the outside but the quality isn’t there. The spa is a bit old, didn’t look super clean, outdoor tubs not hot. There are constantly weddings blasting Enrique Iglesias until midnight, even on a Monday. Design is very “Ukrainian oligarch realness.” Ordered room service and it never came, had to go to the front desk twice to inquire. To their credit, breakfast was fine.
This is not a hotel, it’s a wedding venue with rooms.

Alessandro e Donatella Tutto ottimo e di gran classe dalla colazione con Sara molto disponibile e gentilissima allo yoga con Stefano molto professionale un maestro e tutti gli altri che ci hanno seguito ,e tanta altre cose veramente speciali,la reception è formata da ragazze in gamba segnalo la Martina molto professionale,cosa dire io e mia moglie siamo stati 2 notti con pacchetto armonia in collina siamo stati coccolati fino alla fine ahh il cibo è ottimo
