Mountain View Hotels in Shangri-La

I very enjoyed staying here and feel bad that I booked only 1 night, I should have booked longer than 1 night The hotel concept is like farm stay, we have many activities to do such as feeding animals here (sheeps, deers, donkey, horse and dogs) Very suitable for who would like to relaxed at the hotel, this hotel make me dont want to go out to do anything except staying here. Very fun and good experiences here Also, the food at the hotel restaurants is very delicious. Dogs here very cute and huggable I would like to come back again during winter, it would be so fun and enjoyable

We love the big clean spacious room with nice view. The room is so big that we can fully open 2 big luggages and still have plenty of space. Located in the heart of the old city, with many shops and restaurants around. The bed is very comfortable, and they provided oxygen machine and humidifier, which are great for high-altitude stay. There is a sofa in the room, too. The operator is very friendly and helpful. He even woke up early to send us to the main road as it will be challenging to lug our luggages along the uneven ancient road. Will stay at this hotel again if we come back to Shangri-La. Highly recommended this homestay. The room is tastefully designed , spacious and comfortable. It even has a smart toilet. Felt like home away from home. The owner, wife and their son are all very helpful, helping us arrange our trip, transportation etc. They will make sure that you got a good deal and give good advice on planning our trip. It is also at a very convenient location to visit other attraction areas, shops and restaurants. We extended another day after a five night stay because we love the place too much and we wanted to have a relaxing day just to fully enjoy the place. The owner upgraded us to an even bigger room with a view to the temple at Guishan park. The owner also picked us up from the Dukezong Ancient town when we arrived and got up early to send us to the train station when we checked out. Best homestay we had this far. 非常推荐这个客棧.老板和家人都非常親切,给予我们的旅程很好的建议和幫助. 房间很舒适宽敞, 还有智能厕所. 老板除了在我们低达时在古鎮附近接我们,还在我们退房后特意早起送我们去火车站. 客棧也很方便, 附近有便利店,商店和不錯的餐厅,也很方便去附近的景点.房间和房的廊庁也可以看见大佛寺.

We love the service! The people very kind and polite. Our room were even upgraded during the first night but unfortunately we have to move into other room due to new visitor. Regardless, we dont mind at all, the room that we got was still clean and completed. Except there was no toilet rug and too lazy to ask but its okay. The fact there was places to hangout are the best but we couldnt explore that much. The welcome snacks were much appreciated, we finished most of it. The ginger tea was great. Thank you for the many times requests for ginger tea as one of us got fever. Felt safe and welcome. And washing machine is a no problem especially for backpackers, can easily self-washing. No dryer though. Its fine. The location is a bit high up the hills so to those who’s first time in a very high altitude place, might need the portable oxygen tank or go up slowly to the inn. The oxygen tank in the room was provided! We even got free keychain by the end of our stay at Xianggelila, thought of buying it, instead got it for free. The drive from and to the Xianggelila railway station was so much appreciated, because calling for didi is kinda tiring, like everytime. But because of the inn providing us the drive, it is much convenient. And its very funny how the driver sped up to railway station because we were late for the train. Thank you so much, its a funny experience and the driver has a nice choice of remix song hahah, love the service. The guy who gave the keychain was also warmhearted. Xianggelila was splendid because of you guys thank you!!

Everything in hotel is all new. The staffs are all nice, they are enthusiastic, room is very modern, there are a lot of facilities. The location is also very good, you can walk to Dukezong ancient city within 5 minutes.

There are very few reviews, but this one is really good. It’s similar to the ones in the 500 or 600. It’s very affordable. It won’t be cold outside in the sub-zero winter. It’s very comfortable to live in. The facilities are complete. Shangri-La is very dry. Fortunately, there is a humidifier, which will not dry out the toilet. It has a heating function so it won't get cold. The bathroom is separated from wet and dry areas. It's right in the ancient city. The room is quiet. If we need anything, the lady will immediately send the room to us. She really can do it.

I have been to many places, no exaggeration! This is the most comfortable place I have ever lived, it is really like home! The boss and the boss lady are super enthusiastic. I borrowed a thermometer when I was not feeling well, and the boss lady also made ginger soup for me. They provided all kinds of help in every detail. The room is fully equipped with smart facilities, and the sanitation is super clean. There is a terrace on the roof that is very, very beautiful. There is nothing to pick in the details. I strongly recommend it. You must stay here when you come to Shangri-La! ! Super experience!

This hotel has a pick-up service. On the way to the hotel, the master gave us a detailed introduction to Shangri-La, which was very thorough. When we arrived at the hotel, housekeeper Xiao Yang came to pick us up with Hada, and didn't let us carry anything. He was really enthusiastic and had great physical strength. Although there was no elevator, we didn't have to carry our suitcases the whole time. The front desk had a complete range of daily necessities. It was rainy when I first came to Shangri-La, and I didn't bring an umbrella. They also provided umbrellas, which was really thoughtful. I mentioned breakfast and they sent it directly to our room. The taste was still very good, but the amount was too much, and I couldn't finish it. There was also afternoon tea. I think it's worth staying in this hotel, and the price-performance ratio is great! ! I'll come again next time! 😊

A perfect homestay. We arrived late at night on the day of our arrival, and the homestay arranged to pick us up. The staff were very warm and helpful, even bringing us hot milk in our room when we returned in the evening—extremely thoughtful. On the day of our departure, they also drove us to the train station. The price was very reasonable as well.

We only stayed at this hotel briefly as our train back to Kunming was scheduled early in the morning at 10am, but the experience was truly pleasant. The service was excellent — the staff picked us up and even sent us to the railway station the next day, helping with our bags every step of the way. Upon arrival, they gave us a helpful briefing on what to do and what to avoid due to the higher altitude, which was thoughtful and informative. They also kindly recommended places to visit at night and shared several halal restaurant options when we asked — very helpful for Muslim travelers. Our room was located near the ancient road, but it was surprisingly quiet and peaceful. We also noticed that this hotel seems to be quite popular with Malaysian guests, which made it feel even more familiar and welcoming. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and appreciate the warm hospitality, even if it was just for a short time.
