Villa Bernasconi

Absolutely wonderful property in Barolo region. Small hotel with only a couple of rooms, which are all beautiful. We even had a sauna in our room. Outside space is very good taken care of, the pool and sun chairs are nice. They have a good restaurant, which we had no chance to try, but the breakfast served was nice with everything you need. Many free parking slots available just in front of the hotel. The staff extremely friendly and helpful with everything you may need. Will come again any time! All the interesting places and wineries are not far away. We have found it very easy to travel around and then to return to this calm oasis.

This is an excellent B&B. Completely renovated to very high, luxury standards. Extremely quiet rooms. Great service. Nice pool. Really good value. Carla, on the front desk, is extremely knowledgeable and hospitable, and is the heart of place. She helped to transform our experience. Have a question? Just ask Carla. 😀 She also puts together a nice aperitivo, snacks and drinks, that you can have at the pool, on the patio, on the covered top floor tower room and/or your balcony, if your room has one. The restaurant is run separately from the B&B but feels like it’s an integral part of the B&B. Chef Marcello and his son run the kitchen, his wife runs front of house. They do the breakfasts for the B&B. Full spread of pastries, yogurts, juices, etc. plus hot food, like eggs, if you want. We had two dinners while staying there, which were excellent. His octopus was better than any that I tried in Palermo, which was our first stop on our trip. Their wine list is very approachable with many good value choices. We’ve been coming to this area for years. This B&B is the best place that we’ve stayed at. Narzole does add a few minutes to your drives into the core of the Barolo area but you have to drive everywhere anyway. A few more minutes is nothing really. We will definitely be back next year!
