"This Atour Hotel was a delightful surprise during my trip to Datong! The location is fantastic, right next to the West Ring Road of the ancient city. It's only about a ten-minute taxi ride to major attractions like Huayan Temple and Shanhua Temple. Plus, there's a children's park and a museum nearby, making it super convenient for families with kids or just for a leisurely stroll. The environment is impeccable. The lobby features Atour's signature 'Zhuju' library, with a warm, natural wood design that's perfect for photos. As soon as you walk in, you're greeted with hot tea, instantly melting away travel fatigue. The facilities are new, and the room was spotless. The mattress and pillows, part of Atour's 'deep sleep tech,' were so comfortable I never wanted to leave the bed! Smart room control, a screen-mirroring TV, and a 24-hour laundry room cater to both business and leisure travelers. But the service was the absolute best. Check-in at the front desk was efficient, and the staff were all smiles. When checking out, they even gave us thoughtful bottles of warm water – attention to detail at its finest. You can even enjoy authentic knife-cut noodles for breakfast. Incredible value for money, highly recommended!"

"The location is great! Downstairs is a residential area with all sorts of food options, plus there's a street market nearby where you can buy groceries. The hotel has an underground garage with free parking and even charging stations. So, if you're traveling with an electric car, no need to worry about charging – it's super convenient. It's a non-smoking hotel, which is fantastic for non-smokers like me. You don't have to worry about lingering smoke smells from previous guests. I was in such a hurry when I left that I didn't get a chance to take any photos for everyone's reference. But if I ever come back to Datong, I'd definitely choose this place again!"

"The facilities are complete, the service is excellent, and the breakfast is delicious. The bedding is clean and hygienic, and the lobby is very clean and grand. I recommend staying here again next time I visit Datong. They offer free shuttle service to Datong South Station and Yungang International Airport (reservation required 1 day in advance), which is a fantastic perk. Highly, highly recommend! I'll definitely be back next time."

"The hotel is right in the heart of Datong's ancient city, within walking distance to all the attractions and popular foodie spots. The front desk staff were very helpful and friendly; they enthusiastically assisted me in finding a microwave to heat up my food. Since I was waiting for my train, they also thoughtfully arranged a late check-out for me. A big thank you to front desk staff Xiaohong and her two colleagues!"

"Facilities: Relatively new. Hygiene: Good, room was cleaned promptly. Environment: Plenty of dining options and convenience stores nearby. I highly recommend the Fenghuang Restaurant, about 200-300 meters west of the hotel – it's delicious. Service: Pretty standard. Location is excellent, right next to the West Gate of Yongtai. You can see the ancient city wall from the room, and the ancient city is just across the road. You can easily walk to Shanhua Temple and Huayan Temple. Breakfast needs improvement, it's very mediocre."

"We traveled with our elders, and the hotel room was spacious, clean, and tidy. The smart home system was very convenient; we could just call Xiao Ai (AI assistant) if needed. The room was well-heated, and the service was excellent. We had a very comfortable trip."

"A Must-Stay in Datong! I'd come back to this Siheyuan B&B a hundred times! My first trip to Datong, I came with an anticipation for the ancient city, but unexpectedly, a Siheyuan B&B (courtyard guesthouse) stole my heart and became a lasting favorite. Jiuheli is tucked away in the most central location, right by the South Gate of the ancient city. It’s an oasis of calm amidst the hustle and bustle. Instead of towering buildings, it's a traditional Siheyuan with one ground floor and two underground levels. The grey bricks, dark tiles, wooden corridors, and expansive courtyard with dappled light seamlessly blend the elegance of traditional Chinese architecture with modern living comfort and exquisite, delicate design. The entire guesthouse has only 9 rooms, each named poetically: Luxi, Weiyu, Xianzhou, Hewan, Chunxiu, Rimu, Yunting, Wushi, Qinghe. They are few but refined, quiet but beautiful, offering a sense of peace the moment you step in. I stayed in Luxi. The name is inspired by ”Zhanzhan Lusi, Feiyang Buxi” from the Book of Songs, evoking the clear and gentle morning dew. Stepping out, you're in the courtyard, and the floor-to-ceiling windows bring natural light and greenery indoors. It's quiet, spacious, and private, free from noise, only offering relaxation. The room features smart home controls, luxurious bedding, high-quality toiletries, and thoughtful details that are just right. It's simple yet sophisticated, comfortable yet effortless, with delightful surprises at every turn. Every day spent here was filled with warmth. Gentle breezes in the courtyard in the morning, quiet tea sips in the afternoon, watching the ancient city sunset in the evening, and soft lamplight at night. The outside world's buzz is gently kept at bay, while your inner self feels endlessly healed and content. There's no complicated dining here, but that's perfectly fine because just a few steps away are the ancient city's time-honored eateries and vibrant local life. This allows you to truly immerse yourself in Datong's rhythm of life, feeling free, relaxed, and at ease. The housekeeper is discreet and never intrusive, yet always thoughtfully attentive. Welcome fruit, hot tea, meticulous care – no over-the-top service, but you always feel valued and well-treated. Meeting Jiuheli on my first visit to Datong was truly a stroke of luck. Comfortable, quiet, stylish, and warm – the perfect experience, elegant surroundings, and heartfelt details made the entire trip exceptionally fulfilling. Next time I come to Datong, I will undoubtedly choose this place again. And I sincerely recommend Jiuheli to every first-time visitor to Datong. "Check-in at the front desk was incredibly slow and dragged on for ages. I almost gave them a bad review, but everything else about the hotel was so excellent that I couldn't bring myself to do so. I hope they can improve in the future; the check-in process needs to be more professional. It was far too tedious."
