"This was the last stop on our Northwest trip, and we booked a family room. When checking in, I asked if we could get an upgrade, but the front desk staff said no. Since we were staying two nights, I then asked if breakfast could be included, but the front desk again flatly refused. Honestly, it's not a big deal if breakfast isn't included; I can afford a breakfast that costs a few dozen yuan. But that cold, formulaic service attitude was really off-putting. Well, after apparently offending the front desk, I was assigned a 'great' room where the shower drain was blocked, causing water to pool up to my ankles (I have pictures to prove it). It was already past 10 PM, and I didn't want to bother the staff, so I just figured I'd ask them to send someone to fix it tomorrow. But then, after my shower, the air conditioner stopped cooling, and it was very late by the time it started working again. What was even more frustrating happened the next morning: around 8 AM, the cleaning lady knocked on our door, asking us to put out our trash for her to take. Seriously? This was the only day of our entire trip we could sleep in, and it was completely ruined. I was so frustrated. To be fair, besides that one front desk staff member, the other service staff were quite nice, and they even gave my child a souvenir when we checked out. But overall, this stay was absolutely terrible."

The 24-hour gym and self-service laundry facilities are well-equipped, and the breakfast buffet offers a rich variety, including local Qinghai specialties like yak yogurt and甜醅 (sweet fermented oats). I arrived feeling exhausted in the evening after a long journey. Julie greeted me with a constant smile and efficiently handled the check-in process. Seeing my heavy luggage, she proactively offered to help carry it and patiently explained the room facilities, Wi-Fi password, laundry room, and breakfast times. When I casually asked about self-driving routes to Qinghai Lake and local food spots, she patiently outlined an itinerary, even recommending niche attractions and reminding me about precautions for high-altitude travel. When my room card stopped working, I contacted the front desk and Julie came to resolve the issue within minutes, without any pretense. Her service was professional yet down-to-earth throughout, without any rigid formalities; she genuinely thought about the guests. While good hardware is a hotel's foundation, warm service is what truly adds value. Thanks to Julie's thoughtful service, my travel fatigue disappeared. I'll definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit to Xining, and I highly recommend it to everyone!"
