This hotel is located in Oakdale, halfway between San Francisco and Yosemite.
Although it is an urban center in a quiet American rural town with nothing special around, there are restaurants such as Starbucks, McDonald's and Taco Bell around the hotel.
Also, there are markets such as Save Mart 5 minutes away, so shopping is convenient.
And the most recommended itinerary is if you are planning a trip to Yosemite immediately after arriving at San Francisco Airport in the afternoon, it is a good place to rent a car from the airport and rest for a day or two as it is about 100 miles and 2 hours away.
It's a 2-hour drive from here to the park, so if you couldn't reserve a lodging in the park, you would return after a day trip and rest before returning to San Francisco. Less burden than driving all at once
I was able to use good accommodations at a cheaper price than the more expensive accommodations in Yosemite.

I travel to Oakdale a few times per year for work and always stay at the Holiday Inn Express. The staff are very friendly, rooms were recently remodeled, nice gym area, and a good continental breakfast. Highly recommend to others staying in the area.

Clean updated rooms. Could have better mattresses. Nice little gym but one of the treadmills needed service.

I asked them pet free room all night me and my wife our all body was itching . The bed had a bed bag and was itching the next two days. I was not totally happy about the staying that there.

The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel looks new or recently renovated. We have stayed heres a few times and it’s always been clean and smells great. The rooms are spacious, they have every amenity needed and the bed are comfortable.
