This was my second stay, and I was here for nine days and eight nights. It's really convenient to walk to Umeda. The spa upstairs is also fantastic. I particularly loved the small river coffee and oolong tea provided in the room. The view of the Osaka City Hall is superb; I could enjoy coffee while admiring the night view without having to go up to the 16th floor like other tourists just for a photo op.

This is my second time staying here, and overall I'm very satisfied. The hotel's location is perfect, right between Shinsaibashi and Umeda, making it convenient to get to both. The surrounding area is lovely; on a nice day, you can go for a run along Nakanoshima and enjoy afternoon tea. The hotel breakfast is excellent, and the taste really suits Chinese palates.

A very nice hotel with friendly staff. They kept to our every need and made the stay really amazing. The coffee machine was a bonus, we had fresh coffee of choice every day.

Booked based on online reviews, and indeed, the hotel is excellent. It's located in Yodoyabashi, just one stop away from Osaka Station Umeda and Shinsaibashi. Getting to Universal Studios takes about 30 minutes, which is very convenient. The hotel is surrounded by commercial office buildings, and there's a 7-Eleven right next door. The hotel itself is clean and tidy, the lobby smells lovely, and the room facilities are very new. I really liked it.

The 3:00 PM Bottleneck: Because the hotel strictly forbids early check-ins... guests have to wait until the exact same minute is taxing especially for seniors after a long flight 😅 manual, human check-in assistance should be provided for them. The kiosk system is clearly designed with young travelers in mind. Anyway the hotel is conveniently located next to the station and in the business district with many offices nearby. Eateries here mainly cater for office workers.

It's a great hotel, location is in the business district so a little bit further from central Osaka (Dotonbori etc) if that's where you'd prefer to be.
The onsen is great, as long as you follow the rules it's really relaxing and the amenities are fabulous.
Room was great, a really good size for Japanese standards, complete with complimentary waters everyday.
It's quite a dark hotel so if that's not your vibe then I wouldn't stay here but we really enjoyed it.

I stayed in a single room for four days, specifically looking for a hotel with a hot spring as my last stop in Japan, hoping for convenient departure.
* My travel plan was centered around Osaka. Besides Osaka Castle, there weren't many major attractions; most of it was shopping. Here's my experience based on that.
Location:
The淀屋橋 (Yodoyabashi) area is a bit subtle. While it connects north to Umeda and Shin-Osaka and south to Shinsaibashi and Namba, it's a bit far from the station. Navigating the station with luggage isn't very convenient, and it's a bit of a detour. The walk from the station to the accommodation is also a little distance, which isn't ideal with luggage.
Cleanliness:
For a single room, I was a little disappointed with the cleanliness. I have allergies, so the dust on the curtains was noticeable. Some high-intensity lights even illuminated dust motes, suggesting it wasn't thoroughly cleaned. There was also something resembling an ashtray next to me that looked like it still had some gray-white ash in it.
Service:
There's not much to say about the staff; they were simply well-trained. The only thing to note is that amenities like pillows need to be self-served. Generally, you won't need the front desk much unless you have a specific issue.
* Be aware that trash is collected only once every four days, so it might overflow if you're unlucky.
Facilities:
I'm quite dissatisfied with the facilities. To put it simply, this hotel is essentially a business hotel – it's livable, basically clean, and not overly particular. Firstly, the cleanliness is as I described above. As for the hot spring, it's just one pool, not well-ventilated, and the windows are covered. I'd rather go to a public bathhouse (sento) like Naniwa or Soraniwa Onsen for a more enjoyable experience and then return. My personal recommendation is for business travelers who absolutely need a hot spring to relax; for them, I'd say it's an option. Also, there's a water dispenser in the hot spring changing room. At first, I thought that was good, at least I'd have cold water after bathing. However, you have to specifically go into the bathhouse just for plain drinking water, and it's separate from the ice machine. So, you must go into the changing room to get water. The washing machines are about 100 yen more expensive than other hotels. While they support electronic payments, my attempt to use Alipay unexpectedly failed. As for breakfast, perhaps I woke up too late, around 9 AM, and it was mostly leftovers. It didn't seem like they replenished the food much. I wouldn't recommend eating breakfast here.
Overall, as I mentioned, it's positioned more as a business hotel. The rooms have amenities like internet cables for laptops and such. But for leisure travel, I can only say it's livable, though for this price, I would expect a better experience.

The main advantage of Sotetsu Hotels is the price. The facilities are very complete, with basic cosmetics like makeup remover and moisturizer available for self-service, and there's also a microwave. The room is indeed small, you can't fully open a 28-inch suitcase, but it's not too cramped for one person, and the space is quite well-arranged. For some reason, it was a bit noisy at night, so if you're a light sleeper, you might want to reconsider.

The hotel is located in Osaka's Umeda area, surrounded by many restaurants. There's a fantastic Dondon Yakiniku restaurant right downstairs that's definitely worth trying – their beef is excellent! 👍 This is a budget-friendly hotel, and the triple room we booked for our family of three was perfect, as they could add an extra bed. The hygiene is good, the sheets and duvets are clean, and it's very convenient for getting around. There are supermarkets and drugstores nearby, and Osaka Station is only about a 10-minute walk away. I would definitely consider staying here again.
