Hotels Near Umeda in Osaka

had a wonderful stay at this hotel, and I’d like to give special recognition to Don, the manager at the lobby. His fluent English is truly exceptional, especially in Japan, and it made our experience so much smoother. Despite having only been at the hotel for two weeks, he provided incredibly thoughtful service, helping us navigate both the hotel and the surrounding area with great care. His warm and welcoming attitude made us feel right at home. We feel very lucky to have met him and will definitely choose this hotel again for our next visit!

Location is good. Just situated outside the JR station South Exit, beside Kitte Building. Service is ok, nothing much to mention as I didn't called or ask for anything from Front Desk. Checking in is smooth. Amenities are available for you to take at first floor, in front of Front Desk. Cleanliness - is bad. Stayed there for 4 nights. 1st night - feel the bedsheets are uncomfortable and felt itchy when lying down. So ask to change linen the next day. 2nd night - the linens had changed, cups used are kept into the cardboard but the carpet are not vacuumed cleanly as my partner cut nails during the 1st night and now when stepped on it, we still can steps on the nails on the carpet. 3rd night - the cups are still on the tables. Carpet still same. No cleaning at all. Except for bed is tidy up. Linen no change although we placed the change linen card on bed. Note for Coffee Lovers: this hotel does not provide coffee. Amenities on first floor only have teas.

I cannot say enough how clever and thoughtful the management of hotel integrate Osaka is. The services we received and arrangement offered make our stay in Osaka a perfect one. As Osaka is known as the capital of food in Japan, the F&B industry in Osaka especially in Umeda is highly competitive. The hotel management is so clever that they avoid the competition by not offering proper meal services ( except breakfast) but beverages, snacks and nibbles almost round the clock. By doing so, their room guests are happy and the running cost on kitchen are kept low. I can feel that they are doing it sincerely and keeping their hospitality in a high standard - even happy hour is almost finished, they still keep refilling the carpaccio etc. Other complementaries available for guest to pick at the lounge include premium tea bags, bath salts etc. All these tiny little freebies make their room guests feel welcoming. Besides, I was also impressed by their professionalism. Staff are all very polite, friendly, proactive and efficient. I asked them to help us make restaurant reservations several times, each time I witnessed their professionalism. That reminds me of a previous experience a year ago in Osaka - I was rejected by the staff in a rather new hotel located next to the Osaka station. They said they do not provide such service, even though none of them seem busy behind the counter at that moment. What a contrast! Although the hotel is about 8-10 mins walk from Osaka / Umeda station, it can still be a nice stroll on the ground as the surrounding environment is nice and quiet. It is not a five star hotel but my experience and service received at the hotel Intergate Osaka is definitely a five star one!

The hotel was a bit difficult to find at first, but later I discovered that there is an overpass that takes you directly to the 2nd floor of the hotel from Osaka Station. The hotel was newly opened in March. Everything is very beautiful and the breakfast is delicious! There are Japanese, Western and dessert dishes, and you can also order a special avocado burger! There are dedicated baristas making delicious coffee on the stage~ The room is not big, but the space feels very spacious and comfortable! There is a shopping mall on B1 downstairs next to the hotel, and there is also a very nice organic shop, you must go and dig for treasures! The food court has a variety of delicious meals, but the trouble is that all the food in the food court requires the use of Suica Pasmo IC transportation card or credit card payment, and cash is not allowed.

Very good location where it is the transport hub that connects to many lines and can bring you to many places within Osaka. Fast check in and check out using the machines. Highly recommended. This is my second time staying here.

I had an excellent stay at Hotel New Style Osaka Shin Umeda! The staff was welcoming and attentive, making my visit seamless and enjoyable. My room was modern, clean, and well-equipped, providing a comfortable retreat after a busy day. I particularly enjoyed the peaceful ambiance of the hotel, which offered a quiet escape in the heart of the city. The location was fantastic—just a short walk from Osaka Station, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the city. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Osaka!

Good location within walking distances to Metro or even Osaka Station. Clean and friendly staff. Despite in the (?) night club area, not noisy and not felt unsafe walking through the area at night. Negatives: rooms very small, no wardrobe, barely enough space to open suitcase (not even a big one) and once opened, little space to walk. Bath tub is small and only suitable for a little kid. Even toilet seat is smaller than usual. No International TV channels - all in Japanese. Staff not proficient in English and needs handheld translation gadget to interpret. Overall small room sizes mean simply not suitable for travelling with family or for leisure. More like business travel. Booking websites really need to emphasize this point.

Pros: great food selection (photos 1-9) and egg is free for consumption as many as you want, drink counter (photo 12) with excellent matcha latte available from 1400-2400hr, lots of usb charging point in the room (3-4 of them), free luggage deposit service pre-check in on check-in day Neutral: decent room size (11sqm, double bed) with 3 hangers. One small table and chair in the room. Toilet is a bit small but functional, with a small little bath tub. Microwave available for free use on site on ground floor. Washer and dryer available at ground floor too, pay per use. Cons: Staff could barely speak English, they don’t even try using translation apps or call out a staff who can speak English (photo 10) that they sometimes have on duty. No free luggage deposit service after check out (charged at 500 yen a piece and only told to you when you ask for it, no sign boards). Only one lift per block (11 floors), and lift is very very slow. Check out at 10am, 1000 yen per hour you’re late, strictly no complimentary late check out.

I’ve stayed here four or five times, the first time being in 2018. It’s not changed at all. Quality is great. Front desk staff friendly and polite. Downstairs area functions like a lounge room, microwave facilities available too. The location is close to Midosuji line and Umeda night area too. Great value for money.
