Tui Magic Life Calabria - All Inclusive

Arrived at the hotel for check in and it was complete chaos. Cases just thrown off the coach and it was hunt the case game as there was hundreds all over the place. Once found you was shown to reception and the chaos got worse. Was waiting in line for over an hour as it was so unorganised. They get people to fill out a forms at the counter which holds everyone up. Why they don’t get people to complete whilst in line it would save so much time. Once we found our room we headed off to the pool area to find a snack bar as we had missed lunch due to check in and the snack bar was closed and we had to get the manager to sort some food. The snack bar remained closed all week. The al la carte restaurant don’t bother food was awful. Hopefully this has not put you off. The food in the main restaurant was very good and the rooms are very spacious and cleaned well. Pool area is nice and has to be one of the biggest pools I’ve seen. Measures on the drinks are a little tight and we had to keep asking for more. There is 2 shops on site that are not very good and closed most of the time A little market ( 5 stalls ) was on Thursday Pizzo village is worth a visit but it’s not massive probably about 7 restaurants and few little shops. Staff are friendly enough and work hard but unfortunately I would not return

Fantastic hotel and amazing staff. Can’t fault TUI Magic Life Calabria at all. Just got back from a weeks holiday in one of the private lodges. Extremely clean everywhere you go, amazing food and really friendly helpful staff (they even put up with my terrible efforts to speak Italian 🤣). Will definitely be booking to go back.

This hotel has something for everyone. We stayed in the adult only part which was very chilled and relaxing and the room was very clean and done to a high standard. The grounds and gardens are beautiful and maintained daily and are spotless. The walk to the beach through a wooded area is something special with activities along the way and the beach is fantastic with plenty of sunbeds and a great bar and restaurant. The hotel has lots of activities available and as said, something for everyone and I've never seen as many tennis courts! I had a couple of tennis lessons too and the young pro/coach was brilliant. The food and drink here was excellent and we spent most of our meals at the restaurant at the adult only part where we stayed which had variety, a local flavour and very enjoyable. There is a waited on service for drinks and the staff are friendly and attentive. The bar at the pool and the premium bar at the adult only section served great drinks and the staff were also very friendly and made great drinks. If you wanted something livelier in terms of entertainment, there was plenty going on at the other side of the hotel with entertainment and a 24/7 bar and our adult children ventured here a couple of times and enjoyed themselves. All the staff we spoke to or met were very friendly and helpful and are a credit to the hotel. I would recommend this hotel as it has plenty on offer for those who want to be active or if you just want to relax. We also did a day trip to Pizzo and took in the main sites in this picturesque town. A huge "Grazie mille" to everyone at the hotel for making our stay perfect. We hope to return.

Tui Magic Life Calabria has been a phenomenal! Rooms The rooms was nice and clean - we stayed in the private lodge and the rooms was cleaned twice a day! They had drinks in the fridge, a coffee machine and kettle in the rooms as well as a TV. Food and Drink Food was good with variety and we tried a number of different restaurants all gave good welcoming service and plenty of options. Drinks was good and the cocktails was really good that they had on offer. The wunderbar is 24/7 and this was a great place to be at and where we made plenty of friends and got to know people from a variety of different cultures. The staff at the Wunderbar was very friendly and welcoming and the cleaning around the bar was outstanding. Pool The pools was nice and clean! We had option of using all the pools - we stayed during out of season and pool temperatures was cool but tolerable as it instantly cooled you from the sun. There is a family relax pool which was heated so option there if pool felt too cold. The private lodge pool was relaxing and quiet - the main pool also had plenty of entertainment on offer during the day. Beach The beach had a nice walk way through a woodland area that had plenty of activities within it such as play park, a hammock area to relax, a big chess board and Archery. The beach bar gave off tranquility - there was a option to hire day beds - I would recommend water shoes due to stony beach. The sunsets here was amazing and the Beach party they do was a great night filled with plenty of dancing and music with the entertainment team. Activities There was plenty of activities on offer - personally we didn’t take part due to own personal interests choosing to relax - but we observed the fitness and dance team deliver classes and entertainment and the activities always looked fun and engaging - the kids club also looked very well delivered and entertaining. Trips We chose to go to Pizzo the bus there was 40 Euro there and back. This was a beautiful town with amazing picture opportunities - if you go here try the ice cream! We also did a TukTuk ride which made our time here go quicker and helped us avoid the sun. Safety The hotel has security on site which makes you feel safe during your stay. During our stay an incident did occur with this other guest we had met who had lost their child. We helped them report this and the staff was amazing with the protocol and standard of care they gave to all involved to help with worries and located the child. The aftercare to all who helped was outstanding and the Tui entertainment and management team dealt with this incident quickly and amicably and we felt safe even when they came to thank us for our kindness in helping out with this incident. The professionalism was remarkable and everyone involved felt safe. And FINALLY ENTERTAINMENT TEAM! Wow! The entertainment team was amazing! I must admit we read a few negative reviews before we came out but really don't really know what they were on about. We are on our last evening and have had such a great time. We wanted to just nip in a quick fly and flop holiday before before we get really busy at home and couldn't have wished for better OK it could have been a bit quieter but it is a family holiday and the kids deserve a holiday too. There is places you can go to chill out if you need to. The hotel and grounds are absolutely spotless as are the rooms. Pizzo definitely worth a visit probably would have gone twice if we had the time. The food is incredible almost to much choice (let's not tell the management though) coffee from the bean to cup machine highly recommended. Didn't meet a member of staff who wasn't prepared to pass the time of day which I think says a lot. Beach is wonderful and a little quieter and the sea is spectacular. Please don't listen to the previous negative reviews I think it was probably start of season and a week of bad weather.

Ignore the bad reviews, this place is wonderful. The whole resort is spotless and the grounds are maintained to a very high standard. We were 2 couples in our sixties and we had a lovely holiday. We stayed in the adult only area and it was lovely and peaceful. There was lots of activities if you wanted to get involved. The rooms were spacious and the maids were great. The adult only buffet restaurant was spot on, lots of choice of fish, meat, pastas, pizza etc. A special mention for Caterina who waited on the table's, she always had a smile on her face and was always checking everything was ok with everyone. Another mention must go to Annamaria who worked in the adult only pool bar. What a lovely lady, we had some good laughs while she was making our drinks. Recommend the Limonchello spritz which she makes perfectly. The staff across the whole resort were all nice and friendly but these 2 ladies stood out for me. Overall a great holiday.

What a wonderful time we had at TUI Magic Life Calabria! This was our 3rd holiday there and everything was amazing! We arrived and had a fast check in then went straight to lunch. Once we finished eating our room was all ready. We had a poolside view and the room was really nice. Our cleaner came in daily and did a great job but I didn’t get her name. The gardens are wonderful and the Magico restaurant was excellent. There is so much variety and everything was all cooked fresh and hot. Really enjoyed the freshly made pizzas and pasta and there were lots of meats and fish available plus salads, cold meats, vegetables, roasts, cheese, breads, different desserts, ice cream and fruit. We were spoiled for choice. I would like to thank Leon for helping to make our holiday so great too. My son met him as soon as we arrived and he was so welcoming and friendly. We all played the football Leon organised which was fun and my sons joined in other activities with him too. On an evening there was entertainment at The Wunder Bar and Leon always came over and chatted with us all which was really nice. We also got to know Werdy the singer who was a brilliant singer and Mareck one of the dancers. My son was made very welcome by Anca as she remembered him from our previous visits. The bar staff were all so friendly especially Emanuele, Luana, Alberto and Francesca. I would also like to mention the General Manager Aymen who was so kind, helpful and organised. He spoke to us on several occasions and it was a pleasure meeting him. It’s a beautiful resort and we look forward to returning.
