Elba Premium Suites - Adults Only

Contracted severe food poisoning, resulting in me needed urgent medical attention as I would have been at risk of dying if I didn’t consult with a doctor. Sick over 15 times in 12 hours. No help whatsoever from the hotel staff. Left to wait in reception even though I was still suffering with food poisoning. Did not provide us with any compensation for the 4 days we lost due to being ill. Absolutely shocking and would never return to this hotel.

this is the second time i have stayed here, again a lovey stay, friendly staff, very clean and rooms are spacious and comfy, will defiantly be returning.

Book this holiday with jet 2 (all inclusive) but not sure what that means . Just arrived today 21/05/2024 for one week went to the bar to ask for a drink he said to me that I had to pay for it apparently it’s on the list of drinks that you have to pay for . Premium suites gold band means nothing when it comes to drinks I had a word with the receptionist who said to me I know it makes no sense? His words !!!while I was at the bar several people asked for drinks that are marked on the drinks menu as being free i e Heineken Guinness no not in stock the barman said , This Hotel is a joke and is being very dishonest be very careful when booking this HOTEL YOU DO NOT GET WHAT YOU ARE PAYING FOR .

We were concerned about our stay after reading some of the reviews but on entering reception we were pleasantly surprised as it smelt so clean and fresh. The check in was slow as only one person checking in and one for current guests. After been given our key card we walked the short distance to the Premium suites which is accessed by your key card. Our room 634 was the first after the gate so was close to the pool which may bother some. The room was clean, bright and airy with a small shower room. The AC wasnt working on entering so i requested assistance on the app but after a few hours no one came so i called reception and someone called within the hour to resolve the issue. Someone did follow up the next day so i would recommend contacting reception directly as the app request took 24 hours for a response. We booked privilege and we got robe and slippers, 15% off spa , use of Thalossapy suite and drinks daily ( 2 cans coke, fanta lemon, fanta orange, 2 water and 2 beer). I asked for sugar free and only received them once throughout the stay despite asking on more than one occasion. We wanted to book the French a la carte the first night and were informed to go back to reception at 6pm to be informed it was fully booked. The system to book ala carte is very disappointing; reception provide a voucher and then you need to go to the Yaiza restaurant in the morning or reception in the evening to book. We were there on a short break so we didnt get a chance to book the French restaurant but did manage to book La Nonna. We used 'Los Jameos' the first day for a snack and the food was lovely; we had club sandwiches. There were always queues for drinks and most of the time only one member of bar staff was on duty who worked exceedingly hard. Queues made worse by home made cocktails and people paying by card. Pool area is very small but love the bar area. We ate here again and was wonderful. We did try on a third occasion a bit later but was not offered any food . In the evening we went to 'Los Mirador' which has tables indoor and outdoor. Food was typical All inclusive but was cooked well and everyone could find something. Next we went to the chill out bar which is lovely ; the only issue this evening was the singer was so loud people were leaving ; we could hear the music back in our room. Other nights the sound was fine and people could talk. The other poolside bar was busy until 1pm when other bars opened. Again could be queuing ten deep. We ate out 2 nights and ate at La Nonna the last night . This was not a buffet but you were served at the table which was nice. My husband didnt get what he ordered but no other complaints. We were leaving early so a breakfast picnic was provided. Massage was one of the best i have ever had and would recommend. I wouldnt stay again as there isnt enough places to get a drink without queues. Booking ala carte meals is problematic. They need more staff or all bars open at all times. People did get irate a

Costa and his mates provided a fabulous entertainment in’s the afternoons. These are well spent at the premium suites adults only swimming pool, where they welcome guests very well with drinks and finger food. There’s also hydro classes and cocktail demonstrations. All very well organised and exciting.

Stayed for 7 nights on an all inclusive basis. When I booked the hotel Jet2 had been marketing the hotel as 5 stars, prior to the holiday Jet2 contacted me to say that due to a review they had downgraded the hotel to 4 stars. The Villas are very spacious and well maintained as is the hotel itself which is spotless. The majority of the staff are friendly and very hard working which they need to be because there simple are not enough, this seems to be the main complaint on this forum. The food in the adults restaurant for me was below par but the food at the adults only snack bar was very good. We did enjoy our holiday but probably would not return, there are better hotels on Lanzarote for similar money. The management of this hotel simply don't seem to be listening to the comments on this forum re lack of staff etc.

firstly a huge thank you to francesca danny and maialen for making jemma,s birthday so special. this was our 13th time to the elba premium suites and what an amazing 2 weeks it was. the hotel is beautiful the pool area is probably 1 of the best in lanzarote. thanks to the bar staff who work so hard trying there best to keep everyone happy. the annimation team work tirelessly all day and even put there own shows on some nights costa, danny, ramon,roberto,celia, lulu, danisa laura yous should be really proud of your selves you,s are amazing. the food is good and the adult pool area is lovely too. suri on the bar always smiling. thank you all the staff and see yous in november. last of all try the t,bone steak in la brasserie its so good. darren & jemma guy

This was our 2nd stay at the Elba and chose to upgrade to premium section this time. I agree with some of previous comments around the buffet food not the warmest or tastiest but you won't starve. The adult pool bar meals were lovely for lunch time & the staff worked incredibly hard especially Yasirus. We found all the staff very friendly and to be fair having to deal with alot of unnecessary moaners. The rooms were great plenty space and well maintained. You'll find some guests from the family side walking 'through' to get to the activities as they are often held in an area passed some of the adult rooms. However no children were ever at the pool/pool bar. We enjoyed the peace in the mirador restaurant and the bar attached. The Italian ala carte was ok. When you compare with other 4* hotels in PB this is good value, clean and spacious with great staff!

My wife and I booked a week at the Elba Premium Suites, staying in the adults only section with Jet 2. Prior to our departure Jet 2 notified us that the Elba had been down graded from a 4 plus to a 4; which was slightly worrying. It is a large complex and very nice. There are a number of pluses to the Elba, but the big downside is the quality of the food and the attitude of staff when you complain about it. Firstly its location. It is quite where it is situated on the outskirts of Playa Blanca but an easy walk into the centre of the resort which takes about 15 minutes. The Elba also runs a courtesy bus into the resort 3 times a day which we used once and was excellent. Our room was very pleasant and tastefully decorated with a blue and white theme with large patio area with 2 sunbeds, 2 seater setter and armchair outside. The suite had a spacious ensuite and it was all kept spotlessly clean. The breakfast in the adult restaurant was reasonable. There was quite a lot of choice with pastries, cold meats, cheeses etc; they also had a hot section with English sausage, fried eggs, bacon etc. The best bit was the choice of fresh fruit juices and smoothies which you could see were all freshly made. One morning my wife and I asked for scrambled egg showing the chef the multilingual sign advertising scrambled eggs. To make them, she broke eggs onto the hot plate and then as it was frying, mixing them up with a fork before putting the broken fried eggs on our plates. Not what I nor my wife expected. We ate lunch most days at the Los James Snack & Pool Bar. The staff here Yasuris and Martha work exceptionally hard and are real stars. They both really should be awarded employees of the year awards for their tremenous work. They are a real credit to the Elba. The food here was always delicious whether it was the club sandwich, pizza, croquettes etc. We never had anything that we were disappointed with and is a match certainly for any hotel pool bar that we've ever eaten at. The entertainment at night was OK in the adult bar and was also fairly good at the Pool Bar in the late afternoon. Ramon was highly entertaining with his mix of cocktails and wine tasting, but the real star was the saxophonist. The evening meals in both the La Brasserie Bar & Restaurant was very disappointing as was the food in the adults only La Mirador Restaurant. One night I ordered lamb chops and the chops were served raw. Even though I complained over the week to at least 4 members of staff about the quality of the food, no one really took ownership even though Monika the hostess of the La Mirador Restaurant asked for my room number on 2 separate occasions (854). On the last night I did accept her offer of a bottle of wine. We did see another couple complain about their food and the reaction they got was very different with the Assistant Director Francesca meeting them at each subsequent meal with other restaurant staff and chefs with meals being cooked specially for them and top gra
