Jalta Boutique Hotel

Old Town Prague
This hotel is good, do not be put off that it is a former Soviet-era built hotel. It isn't shabby and the staff are very nice. The beds are comfortable and they considerately supply lovely, soft pillows, in two sizes so you can get really comfy. Bathrooms are well presented with L'Occitaine soaps & shampoos etc. The only drawback we found in the bedroom was that the bedside electrical sockets were not close to the bed, so it meant alittle inconvenience for us in particular, using a CPAP machine, rather than being universally annoying for everyone. The in-house restaurant, serving sushi-styled dishes is also good albeit expensive. Do not be talked into eating too much though, as we were and then landed a £100/head bill - but that was our fault for being probably too greedy after a long day's travelling. It's well situated in Wenceslas Square and you will find it more convenient than its position on a map may suggest. The Old Town is easily walked into. The only two things we were disappointed by were a) the breakfast area was, we think, because it was Feb and the hotel operating at half capacity, was effectively in their nightclub area. It's rather gloomy with the wrong vibe for your morning breakfast, even the though th ebreakfast itself is generous and with a wide range of choices. (They actually have a lovely conference cum dining area we glimpsed on the first floor but I suspect that is used when occupancy is fuller); b) the fascinating Fall Out Shelter located in the hotel basement tour was slightly spoilt by the poor student whose English wasn't quite up to par, so we found it hard to follow his explanations. It's still worth a look though, and see for yourself Orwell's '1984' novel sort of made real. Overall a good choice for a short break.

Nové Město
We had an excellent stay for 4 nights. Rooms are immaculate, big and spacious, breakfast was ok. Staff on reception really friendly and helpful. Arranged a pick up from airport for us for 700czk. I suggest using this service as the cars with ‘taxi’ on top have a set rate of 1500czk. We had a room in 4th floor at front of hotel. Ask for a room away from main road as it is really noisy 24/7 hospital must be close by as sirens morning noon and night and they are so loud. The door windows helped mute some of the noise but if I returned I would not stay in a front facing room again. Loads to see and do Prague is a beautiful city and I will return and would be happy to go to this hotel. Tip download the Uber app very cheap very efficient. There’s a restaurant round the corner called U Graffu and it’s really good for a decent meal.
Anyday Apartments

We stayed at Anyday as a family while visiting Prague. The apparments are well placed being close to the tram links, a reasonable walk into the town centre and having plenty of eating and drinking places nearby. We were greeted in a friendly manner and found the staff in reception to be very helpful. The apartment was basic but comfortable. We had a 2 roomed appartment for four. There was one double room and one room with single beds, there was a small kitchen between the rooms and a dining area. The beds were all comfortable and the rooms felt spacious enough. The storage (wardrobe etc) were only in one room which also had a TV and telephone. This was fine for us. The kitchen was a little tatty and I wonder whether it will soon be updated as they do seem to be doing improvements at the moment. It had the necessary appliances and it's was nice to see washing up liquid and tea towel supplied along with salt pepper and sugar. This was a nice touch. A chopping board and a bread knife would have been nice though... cutting fresh bread with a carving knife on a plate wasn't ideal. The bathroom was new and looked great although the shower pressure sometimes dropped to a trickle, but only for a moment. I would stay here again

Hotel Legie

The hotel has improved so much. Rooms are clean and spacious. Friendly staff and feels very local. The price was excellent too. I’m a titanium elite from Marriott, this is comparable to courtyard or four point in certain aspects in terms of cleanliness and standard. It does not have all the amenities you expect from big brands, but as an independent hotel, I think Legie does a fantastic job. I’m very happy with this stay. Take a look at all other reviews I’ve done, and u know I’m not just an imposter or a fake reviewer, but a genuine staying guest. I approved this hotel! Let those bad reviews from the past be their past. They have corrected a lot of things already.

Great hotel. The staff is very helpful. Rooms are very clean. Breakfast and the food in general at the restaurant is absolutely fantastic. Hotel is located near the centre of the New town, and near Katerinska Metro Station. Generally in Prague you can walk anywhere from the hotel, but if your tired you can buy easily a Metro ticket for 30 mins, and you can easily buy it online from the PID Litacka application for just 30 CZK.
