We just returned from another wonderful week at Desire. We've been there several times and continue to return for many reasons, but the primary one is the amazing staff and service. The resort does an outstanding job of hiring and retaining exceptional employees who are genuinely committed to making every guests' stay perfection. The resort is pristinely maintained, restaurant and food choices offer a wide variety, the food quality is outstanding (fresh seafood, tender steaks, etc.), and the bar service and selection is more than we needed. Our standard room was very large with plenty of closet space and an amazing third floor view of the ocean. We used the gym daily and it has everything we needed for our workouts - free weights, machines, and cardio equipment. Everyone is helpful and ALWAYS smiling (genuinely). We continue to marvel that each time we return to Desire, the employees not only remember us but also remember details about us such as our favorite beverages and how we take our coffee. It's impressive to say the least. I'd love to mention every employee by name but everyone - front desk staff, bellmen, pool concierges, waiters, waitresses, chefs/kitchen staff, spa staff, landscapers, maintenance men, housekeeping, bartenders and resort entertainers - work incredibly hard to ensure all guests have a positive experience. We'll continue to go back to Desire for this reason! Well done as always.

We had such a great time at Desire Pearl. It was just what we needed to celebrate our anniversary. Manager Laura Gutierrez was so attentive and helpful. The pool staff Gabriela, Joshua, Victor the daybed manager, all the bartenders, waiters, playmakers, entertainers, Miguel Angel the Somalier, and the great room caretakers all were so kind, courteous, and attentive. It truly shows that the staff enjoys working at Desire Pearl and care about the customer experience.
We enjoyed our trip so much we are already planning our return!

The property/staff overall was excellent. Really our only complaints were they charge $10 for room service per order, DVD and the mix that they use to make frozen drinks could be a bit higher quality.

The upgrade to a Jr. suite was amazing. We received a corner oceanfront room with a large balcony. Service was superb at the restaurants and bars. Evening shows were fun to watch.
