Best Hotels in Quinsac, France

There are not enough adjectives in my vocabulary to describe Les Sources de Caudalie: Wow, Amazing, Phenomenal… It is a member of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World. Nestled in the heart of the Bordeaux countryside, surrounded by acres and acres of vineyards, you will find Les Sources De Caudalie. From any view on the property, you will be able to view the rolling hills full of rows of grape vines. To the south you will have white grapes, and to the north, red. The resort ‘s structure is a combination of wood and stone. The architecture and design is that of an old farmhouse chateau with rustic buildings and manicured gardens. A pond sits in the heart of the resort full of wildlife. Amenities include their 3 restaurants. We had the opportunity to eat at all 3 of their restaurants and they were all very good. You can enjoy an indoor and outdoor pool. Next to the resort is their amazing Spa building, and the famous winery Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte. They also have 2 bars and several cozy sitting areas throughout the property. Bicycles are provided for free. Riding the backroads of the vineyards is an experience in itself. In addition, they have a forest nearby that has a nature/sculpture trail. The walk is about a good hour. With respect to the rooms, they are cozy, comfortably updated, and very nicely decorated. Our room was on the ground floor. It had a table with two chairs in the terrace which offered wonderful opportunities to frequently sit to relax mornings and evenings before dinner as we enjoyed some wine and cheese while taking in all the surrounding beauty and gorgeous sunsets. As to the service, again, it was phenomenal! From the check in clerk, to the restaurant staff, and their housekeeping team, which serviced your room twice per day. Throughout our stay, the staff was pleasant in asking if everything was to our liking. The hotel is perfectly located to use as a hub to visit the many beautiful towns and wineries the Bordeaux region has to offer. We look forward to hopefully returning in the near future to Les Sources de Caudalie for some rest, relaxation, and rejuvenation.

Very comfortable bed. Clean fresh bedding. Lovely and warm. Pet friendly and dog allowed in restaurant. Only one mile off the motorway. Secure parking and friendly staff. Menu prices good and food was lovely. The breakfast is also very good for self serve.

In the run, I booked 1 night in a room considered by the host and the website as overclassed in a 3-star hotel. The bathroom is fully equipped as in a Ehpad or hospital, which is not mentioned in the ad, and can cause anxiety and anxiety about this type of equipment. complete, and the refund impossible since not done before 18h. The hotel doesn't find any other solution to offer me, leaving me alone at 22h in an industrial area. After storm Ciaran put paid to our Plymouth ferry crossing, we crossed to France at the crack of dawn to drive to our destination, Estepona. After driving 12 hrs in rain and hail we took a chance and booked the Ibis Styles Bordeaux Begles, en route as it accepted dogs, had parking and a kettle in the room. (Amazing how many hotels haven’t). Our expectations were no more than that. We found the recommended restaurant on-site was closed for Halloween and arrived dejected. However the receptionist, Zergane was a breath of fresh air! So friendly, so helpful and after settling in our room, ordered us takeaway pizzas whilst setting up-a table and organising our drinks! Good selection of wines by the way. We had a lovely evening. How things work out! The hotel itself is modern and clean (albeit easy to miss) and the breakfast was one of the nicest I’ve had in a long time. Freshly squeezed orange juice and a large selection of everything fresh you could wish for. So heads up to the staff and especially Zergane Hamza who, to his credit wouldn’t even take a gratuity. He’ll go a long way in his hospitality career and we wish him the best of luck.

____________________ LA SITUATION GÉOGRAPHIQUE ---------- Bonne situation avec le tram à proximité directe pour aller dans le centre de Bordeaux. Pas loin également de la gare de Bègles. Autrement quelques commerces/restaurants à côté. Cela peut donc être un hôtel à sélectionner pour être pas loin du centre sans dépenser trop, ou pour aller au stade Matmut Atlantique car ligne directe. ____________________ L'HOTEL ET L'ACCUEIL ---------- Standard B&B à tout point de vue, très bon accueil, checkin rapide. Il y a un coin pour se poser avec distributeurs et micro-ondes. Ascenseurs pour accéder aux chambres. ____________________ LA CHAMBRE ---------- Chambre et salle de bain plus petits que la moyenne. La chambre dispose d'une TV, petite penderie, bureau et est climatisée ce qui est un bon point. La salle de bain est comme dit petite, en plus la douche est assez mal conçue comme tous les B&B, cela mouille partout après une douche. L'ensemble est propre, literie confortable. ____________________ LA RESTAURATION ---------- Un service de petit déjeuner est proposé dans la salle commune sous forme de buffet sucré/salé, du standard B&B très bon, viennoiseries, gâteaux, pains, oeuf brouillé, bacon, saucisse. ____________________ RAPPORT QUALITE/PRIX ET LES SERVICES ---------- Rapport qualité/prix pouvant être cher en fonction de la période. Parking privé payant, mais le personnel devrait faire plus attention aux extérieurs ! L'entrée du parking sert d'emplacement pour les poubelles de l'immeuble semble-t-il avec de nombreux restes de nourriture par terre, il faut marcher dedans pour aller composer le code du parking, inacceptable. Le wifi fonctionne très bien. ____________________ EN RÉSUMÉ ---------- Chambres beaucoup plus petites que la moyenne mais tout est propre. TB petit déjeuner, espace pour manger si besoin avec distributeurs. Gros problème de propreté sur les extérieurs, nombreux déchets de nourriture par terre juste devant l'entrée du parking privé, semble être l'emplacement des poubelles pour ramassage.
