"There are many sockets and they do not turn off when you leave the room. The balcony is fenced with a net. The workplace is dark and the noise of the car wash is not conducive to creativity. the food is spicy. I had to come up with something myself. There is a night market nearby and there is also a massage there. no kettle anywhere. You can’t get boiling water yourself, you have to ask in a cafe. We need to make a normal menu for everyone. I didn’t take breakfast, I didn’t like the choice. the price is high, the menu is mediocre. I always take rooms by the sea, so I decided that this would be a work environment. but the air is bad. This place doesn't give you energy. There is a micro recreation area. made of stones on which it is cold to sit no green area, birdsong is a luxury for this place. a city is a city"

"The room was clean and hygienic. There were not many types of breakfast, but the taste was good, especially the bread, which was baked and delivered the previous afternoon and was very fragrant. TTeeks I stayed at a quiet mini resort, which was great for peace and quiet. The best part was the chocolate cabin in the woods behind it. The infinity pool was mostly quiet and the rooms were cleaned well, which was important to me as someone with OCD. Despite being on the ground level with a sea view, I didn't encounter any bugs or ants inside. The staff was decent, but not overly welcoming or friendly. Jik, who worked at the reception, was helpful and booked reservations for us at restaurants and other Samed group resorts. However, the resort was a bit far (15-minute drive) from everything else, making it quite a ride by motorbike or taxi. The distance felt longer when traveling around the island. My least favourite thing was the breakfast restaurant. The Japanese style seating, while great for lunches or dinners, became annoying after a day or two, especially during breakfast when I needed to get up several times and bruised myself getting up. The restaurant also had an ant problem, which made me feel very uneasy and ruined my enjoyment of breakfast. I wished we hadn't included breakfast at the hotel. I felt that the same hygiene methods used for the rooms should be applied to the restaurant to prevent the ant issue.

GGuest UserThe hotel is very good, at first we booked for a day, but after checking in we were impressed by the location and extended for a second day, the first day we lived in a bungalow, the second day we lived in a separate salt building, the rooms are clean, the room has everything in individual packages, the split system is in working order, responsive staff, 200 baht tuk-tuk to the center of the island, there is a 7/11 and delicious shrimp, a clean beach, a place where the head rests. Excellent option for your money. Of the small minuses, that breakfast is until 10:00 and by this time everyone has already eaten and check-out is until 11:30.

GGuest UserOur Favorite Island Escape! This was our fifth stay at Vangduen Hotel, and we already can’t wait to come back! It’s the kind of place that never disappoints. In fact, the only sad part is packing up to leave. The location is perfect—tucked away on the quiet side of the island, offering so much peace and natural beauty. The clear, calm water and the soft white sand (honestly, it feels like flour!) make it the perfect spot to relax. Even though it’s peaceful, there’s still plenty to do. There’s a great selection of restaurants, a small shop for anything you might need, and a fun fire show in the evenings. The hotel itself is spotless, well-equipped, and super comfortable. The staff are amazing—so friendly and always happy to help with anything you need. It’s those little things that make each stay so special. We’d recommend this place 100%. In fact, we’ve already booked our next trip in two weeks! Vangduen Hotel really is a gem, and we feel lucky to have found it.

TToto LawyerThis trip, we booked two rooms, came with 4 friends. The accommodation did not have a shuttle bus, but we rented a car from the pier for 100 baht. The receptionist was friendly. We stayed on the 3rd floor, the stairs were very steep. Elderly people should avoid it. Fortunately, there were staff to help carry our bags up for us. The view from up was beautiful and made us feel less tired. ⭐The room was in a minimalist style, fully equipped, but the room was quite old. You can see from the cracks in the floor tiles. The curtains had black mold stains. The bathroom ventilation fan had a lot of dust. The pillow was sagging and uncomfortable to sleep on, but the bed was comfortable and usable. The water flow from the sink faucet was very weak, but the shower water flowed moderately. ⭐There is a cafe in the accommodation, but no restaurant. You have to walk along the beach to eat outside, but it is not far. In front of the beach, there are chairs to sit and relax, but after 5 pm, the staff will come to inform us that they will ask to take the chairs because they are getting off work. In my opinion, I think they should have extended the time a bit. The guests were sitting and relaxing, which could have ruined the mood. ⭐The breakfast tasted okay. We could tell the staff when we wanted to eat it, between 8-10 am, but our room had to sit and eat in front of the room. In the morning, the sun was shining, and it was quite hot. ⭐In summary, the accommodation is not expensive, the service is good, the view is beautiful, that's it.

Pros Excellent location with everything you need, including a nice beach, on your doorstep Restaurant serves decent Thai and Western food at good prices Dining right on the beach Beach is well kept and while not private never felt crowded Rooms are good sized with nice bathrooms Cons Mattress is rock hard with a very thin and almost non-existent pillow Walls, ceilings and floors very thin so be prepared to hear everything and everyone 24/7 Breakfast is very sad and not worth paying for

GGuest UserI have stayed at Flamingo Villa before (In the Garden Room), but this time I decided to stay in the loft room, which apparently is called the Family Room. Flamingo Villa is somewhat strange, since the ”Hotel” is basically three rooms within the Samed Your House hotel. Our neighbors actually knocked on our door to try and check in ~ You need to call the phone number for Flamingo Villa in order to check in, as someone will come out to meet you. So, bottom line up front: Flamingo Villa is awesome, but get ready to kill a lot of mosquitos! The owners do a good job of lighting incense sticks to try and keep the them away, but there are fountains around the area and the mosquitos are no joke. I would say I killed at least 10 in our room, so it is super important to make sure you close the sliding doors behind you every time you go in and out of the room. The Family Room was awesome. The lower floor is basically a living room with a large day bed and a big TV with great speakers. The toilet room is separate from the shower. The stairs to the loft are pretty steep, but once you get up there it is really nice. There are two queen beds in the loft, and the glass wall and sliding door separate the bedroom from the main room, which is great because the bedroom has its own AC unit, and the glass keeps out the mosquitoes. The beds were comfortable, but be careful because the ceiling is very low above the beds. The view from up in the loft is very peaceful, and the owners obviously spent a lot of time decorating the place (The Christmas tree was still up while we were there). The hotel is a 5 minute walk from Sai Kaew Beach, and the pier for the ferry is only a 10 minute walk ~ but you can take a mini bus if you would like. The hotel is close to restaurants and stores, and there are two 7-11s close to the beach. We rented a motor bike the last time we were in Koh Samed, but Sai Kaew Beach seems to be the nicest on the island, so we just hung out there. I love Flamingo Villa, and I am sure I will stay there again in the future.

Room was clean but the only thing which made me concerned was when it came to booking the grand deluxe room It stated sea view room you can only see a little bit just a heads up for anybody staying here. MMarinaThe hotel is conveniently located, but tuk-tuks do not bring you to it, you have to walk through the courtyards from the bus stop, the first time we thought we would not find it, then we got used to it when you know the way. The location is convenient, on the 1st line, but perpendicular to the sea, so the windows overlook the backyard and the restaurant toilet. Apparently, during the low season, the restaurant staff got used to sitting there, talking, playing with the children, it was difficult to relax during the day, there was constant noise outside the window. Even when we asked them to be quieter, after some time they gathered there again and talked endlessly loudly, watched videos, played games. Then they moved to the area in front of the reception, but they talked so loudly that the noise still interfered with rest. At the same time, you will not find employees in the restaurant when you need to order food or pay, they are all relaxing there for their own pleasure. The hotel has its own sun loungers on the beach, but the restaurant staff tried to kick us out from there on the first day and insisted that we should order something in the restaurant, this spoiled the impression, of course. It is strange that the hotel has a restaurant, but no breakfast, it would be more convenient with breakfast. At 9 am, large groups of Chinese tourists are brought to the restaurant, in principle, as in other neighboring restaurants on the first line. The room is not bad, but old, the bed is comfortable, the TV only has Thai channels. The toilet in the bathroom is leaking, the faucet, apparently the same is on the floor above, because water was dripping from the ceiling and there is mold on the ceiling, and in the toilet itself there is no ventilation and a terrible smell of mold. There is no toilet paper, in front of the entrance to the toilet there is a holder with thin napkins, which is very inconvenient. We lived on the 1st floor, since among us there were people with disabilities, in front of the room there is a table and two chairs, but sitting in front of the restaurant toilet is not at all pleasant. Also, the employees in this place eat their own food and sometimes the smells are very unpleasant. The hotel is for very unpretentious visitors, but the sea is wonderful and two steps from the beach. On the main street there are many restaurants, massages, two 7-11, currency exchange. It's a couple of minutes' drive from the ferry.
