Marietta Hotel & Apartments

Really dirty moved to another hotel because it was so dirty I booked a 1 bed apar**ent I ended up with 4 dirty beds and 2 that didn't fit the frames and I ended up sleeping on the floor because of it and there were cockroaches and the shower water didn't drain so u always showering in yesterday's water. It was filty. See pics Marietta is lovely but the place is filthty they didn't clean daily causing flys Also got cut by a nail hanging out mattress

First and last time for us visiting Marietta. Stayed there for 2,5 weeks with two kids and don’t recommend it to families or anyone who doesn’t like smoking/ passive smoking, drinking 24/7, yelling, dirty hotelrooms or bugs in them. During our long stay, our apar**ent (2 rooms, bathroom, balcony, kitchenette) was not cleaned properly even though we asked for it. After talking to the receptionist, our balcony was cleaned once and the floor was washed with water after my kid vomited. After that no proper cleaning, only sweeping the floors at the most. There were cockroaches in the hotel room three times. The first time, the hotel gave us poison and we had to poison the rooms ourselves. It was written on the jar that the substance is dangerous for children. The second time housekeeping poisoned the room while we were there. We had to buy poison, cleaning supplies and detergent for cleaning ourselves. The sheets in the room were changed only once during the 17 days. The towels were changed a few times, even when new they smelled bad, like a wet dog. The indoor unit of the air conditioner was covered in thick black dust. The seals on the floor of the shower cubicle were moldy. The toilet smelled strongly of sewage. The freezer compar**ent was full of ice. The kitchen counter was not cleaned once. There was no storage space for 4 people's clothes, the closet only had 6 hangers, no shelves. We had to store clothes in suitcases on the extra bed. There were indeed 3 beds in the second room of the apar**ent, but no dining table near the kitchen, where we could have eaten. There was a table and two chairs on the balcony, but cats from the street came there if we ate there. The cats also slept on our balcony. Sorry to say, Hotel Marietta is by no means worthy of 3 stars! We have stayed in several low-budget accommodations in Rhodes, and all of them have been better and cleaner than Marietta, and the staff has been more service-oriented. You should try more!

Hotel was Fantastic friendly staff very helpful a holiday to remember very helpful with doing trips around the island food was fantastic went to the village loads of places to eat and drink locals were helpful

We have just arrived back from this fantastic family run hotel, we travelled as 2 families, we are a family of 5 (2 adults and 3 children), we travelled with another faculty of 4 (2 adults and 2 children) We were immediately made welcome when we arrived in the middle of the night and shown to our room, the bar is 24 hours so could drop off or bags in the room and get a drink straight away The hotel is family run and every single member of staff was friendly and welcoming, especially had great banter with Marietta herself, who I must say was always smiling and interacting with all guests whilst never stopping! The pool was fantastic and meals were superb, we went accommodation only and ate out on a few occasions but found the hotel food to be best of all and found we just kept eating in the hotel, the food was of restaurant quality There are a lot of regular guests who come year after year which speaks volumes for the hotel and they were all very friendly and decent people The small town of pastida was also nice and only a couple miles from the airport so we were dropped off fast by the coach from the airport to hotel and the last to be collected on our return. The Town is a central location so you have plenty options to visit the coast from all sides, the hotel has a minibus you can be dropped off at various locations and be picked up later in the day and is cheaper than taxis and more convenient, especially if you are in big groups, which is handy The rooms were basic, but this isn't an issue we were always in the bar area on an evening and literally only slept there. On our departure the staff waited with us and said their goodbyes which was again a nice touch We don't usually go to the same hotel again, but there's something about this place calling us back, hopefully we will see you all again one day!

Marietta apar**ents is the perfect place to stay for a family holiday. The apar**ents are basic but spacious and fully equipped. Extra pay for the AC which was very good and kept us cool. Large balcony and kitchenette area. Marietta knows all of the guests by first name, and treat my little boy as if he was hers. Marietta never stops- checking on the guests, joking and asking how their stay is going. The a**osphere at the hotel is second to none, relaxed, easy going and positive mood all round. The karaoke/ disco night once a week is an amazing a**osphere. A wonderful family run place where the staff could not do enough for you. It was a fantastic stay and a wonderful holiday. What can i say what a perfect holiday we had at marietta hotel,we loved it that much we extended our stay all the staff and owners are the best we felt like part of the family.food was amazing freshly cooked on the bbq every evening. We made new family here my daughter called fotis baboush witch is grandad in greek. We will be back soon thank you so much love from louis and family.

This is a great little hotel. It is situated in a small village so not a lot on your doorstep but there are a few nice restaurants and a supermarket. There is also a bus stop in the village. The hotel is brilliant. Can honestly say that I have never stayed anywhere so friendly. There is a really lovely pool with plenty of shaded areas. Food is home cooked on the premises and is really good and great value. All staff here are so so friendly and will do anything they can to help you. This is far nicer than staying in a big all inclusive. Friendly and personal service and as its a small hotel very nice interaction with other guests. I had such a good stay here with my two grown up daughters. I would definitely recommend and definitely revisit. The hotel also runs shuttles to various tourist locations. The hotel is brilliant. Can honestly say that I have never stayed anywhere so friendly.
