"Had a wonderful stay here for six nights! The location is absolutely fantastic. When visiting Xiamen, staying near Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street is the most convenient option. The hotel is only about 50 meters from the pedestrian street, and close to many attractions. We could walk to Ba Shi (Eighth Market) in just over ten minutes, which was incredibly convenient. It's also very close to the subway station. The front desk service was excellent; the manager even upgraded our room for free because our booked room type wasn't available, which was a very thoughtful gesture."

"First off, the hotel's location is fantastic. It's right next to Zhongshan Road and within walking distance to Bashi Market, making it super lively at night with tons of food options. Secondly, getting around is a breeze. There's a bus stop right outside, making public transport very convenient. Plus, there's a ferry terminal directly across the street. If you're coming back from Gulangyu, you can take a bus from Sanqiuming Pier to this ferry terminal, cross the road, and you're pretty much at the hotel – no need for a taxi or another bus! Finally, the security is top-notch. You need to swipe your card twice to enter: once to take the elevator to your floor to find your room, and then again to get into your room. This is the first hotel I've stayed at with this kind of system, and it really made me feel safe and secure!"

"The hotel's location is excellent, right on Zhongshan Road, making it very convenient to walk to Zhongshan Road and the Gulangyu ferry terminal. There's a wide variety of shopping and dining options nearby. The room facilities are also great, with a very thoughtful design. The staff are friendly and even escort guests to their rooms to explain how to use the amenities. The only downside is that most rooms don't have proper outward-facing windows; they are either faux windows or face an inner courtyard. Our window faced the inner courtyard and was essentially just for show."

"Five stars to Zhenyue! It made traveling so easy. Public transportation around the hotel is excellent, with easy access to Zhongshan Road, Shapowei, and Baicheng Beach. The mattress was just right – not too soft, not too hard – perfect for a good night's rest after a day of sightseeing. The front desk staff were very enthusiastic and patiently answered all our questions about directions. Overall, it was a great stay and definitely recommended. The staff were very kind and patient."

"Located on Lujiang Road, the location is naturally good. As I booked a deluxe king room this time, it didn't face the prime sea view, but I experienced a different kind of scenery (the hustle and bustle of city life) on the other side. As a Yage brand under Huazhu Hotels, I had stayed at one in Shanghai many years ago. Overall, this price point is acceptable. However, from the perspective of hotel management and operations, the room layout fell a bit short, feeling slightly crude and not providing the best experience. Warmth and a feeling of being at home should always be paramount, regardless of the price, especially in Xiamen, a tourist city known for the relaxed vibe it offers. The performance, professionalism, and demeanor of the front desk staff on duty that day were commendable. Her attitude made me feel warm at that moment. When she heard I was a Huazhu Hotels member, she reported my situation to Manager Ouyang, who then upgraded my benefits for the day, including extended breakfast and a 2 PM late check-out. I am very grateful for this, as it made my trip more comfortable and relaxed. I've always believed Xiamen is a city suitable for wandering and a slow pace of life. I first came to this city during the Spring Festival of 1998, and I've loved it ever since. Xiamen University was also my dream school during my student days. If I hadn't immigrated to the United States, I think I would have worked and lived in Xiamen. This morning, when I woke up at 6 AM and opened the curtains, I was deeply moved by the view before me. It was ordinary yet very real, reflecting the vibrant life of this city, much like the Eight Markets (Ba Shi). It represents the inseparable history and culture of old Xiamen, reminding me of the alleyways in Shanghai. Before, I only knew the Eight Markets as a bustling place, mostly a seafood market, similar to the fish market in Changle, Fuzhou, my hometown. It was just a familiar taste and something I took for granted. But today, when my classmate and I first stepped into Yubao Wang to enjoy an authentic Minnan meal and a pot of traditional Tieguanyin tea, my heart was touched. This time, I wasn't here to reminisce; it was about my connection with this city. Good karma finds its way home, and all things eventually return to their original intention.
