Hotel Villamarina Club

Was going to write a big review, but all I'm going to say is don't waste your money. It's not even a 3 star. I'd give it 1 star It's like being stuck in an 80s time warp. More like hostel than hotel. Food crap. Drink crap. View from balcony - rooftops and solar panels. Truth is, I'd rather be home in the rain !

We had a pleasant stay at hotel villa marina. There are pros and cons to the hotel. Pros: Friendly and helpful staff, Food is really good, spoilt for choice, Entertainment is brilliant, Cons: Rooms are small, No balls or inflatables allowed in the pool - all depends on the lifeguard on the day, some let you others didn’t, Location wise, the hotel is distance away from the main town, it’s takes approx 20 mins to get to town but then another 20 mins to get to the main bars and restaurants, and then the walk back. Although a taxi was around€7 going and about €12 coming back. Overall we had a pleasant stay but wouldn’t look to return purely for location and the pool issues, I’ve never known a family hotel where you can’t use inflatables.

Literally just arrived home, back to the cold and rain! We visited 28/5-04/06 and we were really lucky with the weather! There was a thunderstorm one night but that was in the early hours! I can honestly say with the price we paid, we weren’t expecting much but it really went beyond our expectations. I travelled with my mum, and 2 daughters aged 6 & 3. I apologise now to all those who have had to put up with me this week as I constantly felt like I was shouting Eliza and Verity not that they ever took any notice of me 😂🤣 The hotel itself I think is a very good 3*. Pool area is ok but definitely needs new loungers and chairs. At 7 month pregnant, I was panicking thinking they would break underneath me 😂 I used to go down anywhere between 7:30-7:45 to pop towels down on a couple of the beds so I could see my youngest in the baby pool and there were plenty of beds available then but in my opinion, there isn’t enough of them but sadly I don’t think you could really have any more as it could get already get a little tight with the ones already out. The pools are absolutely freezing but didn’t stop my girls going in! Food was good. Albeit basic on some occasions, it was all well presented and plentiful. We never went hungry! Snack and pool bar are great and the staff in the main bar worked so hard on a night. They were always pleasant as were restaurant, reception, cleaning and maintenance staff. We booked a superior family room which after a bit of moving furniture around, gave us a great space as there were 4 of us in the room however the “balcony” was a joke. I have never seen anything so small in all my life!!!! I have added a few pictures of the room so you can have a better idea on the size! From what I could gather, some rooms are really small so I’m glad we upgraded when booking. The thing that made this hotel for me was the entertainment team. They are absolutely amazing and go above and beyond to make sure everyone is having the best time. I give them 10/10 and their enthusiasm is amazing. I’d go back to the hotel just for them as my girls couldn’t wait to finish their breakfast and run off to arts and crafts every morning! We met some lovely people whilst we were there and it was so nice to go to a hotel where there weren’t standard a*$ehole brits absolutely steaming by 2pm effing and jeffing at the top of their voices! We hope that everyone we have met this week enjoys the rest of their stay and has a safe journey home! X

I had to leave a review after reading all the bad ones about this hotel & being worried about going. It would seem after reading other people want to book a 3 star hotel & expect the Ritz! We have just returned from 7 nights here as a family of 3, we booked with Jet 2 via our trusted travel agent & paid £1480 for all inclusive with 2 days Port adventura park passes & 1 day Ferrari land pass in May half term & can honestly say it was worth every penny & we was not disappointed. 2 hours flight from East Midlands & a 20 minute transfer was great! Amazing staff throughout the hotel. Absolutely amazing entertainment team keep you entertained all day & night, live acts most nights were decent too ! 10 minute walk to the beach basically in a straight line, great pools with lifeguards. Food - amazing selection & great for a 3 star We had a standard room & although quite small didn't bother us 1 bit as we literally slept & showered in it. Bus number 2 from the beach front to Port adventura world every half hour is cheap. We also did Caribe waterpark which is highly recommended. As long as you go here without 5 star expectations you will love it !

Where do I start?! Me and 9 friend came to villa marina for my hen party. We're a group of ladies aged 27-64 so a very mixed age group and we LOVED it. The beds were sooo comfy, the food was great, the staff were 5* the hotel is lovely and clean and so was the pool. Such a relaxed vibe. I'm planning on going back with my 4 kids as the children's entertainment looked so good. Thank you so much villa marina. See you next year.

Enjoyed our stay here. Everywhere spotless. Food good quality and choice microwave in corner if needed. rooms spacious we had twin beds plus sofa. solarium on rooftop was great. entertainment staff Marina, Robb and Rafa excellent went the extra mile for children and adults. music at night time really loud. Our party was 4 adults the only downside was you were only allowed 2 alcoholic drinks at a time! Not ideal when there was large queue and only 1 barman on. Overall good holiday would come back.

We are just coming to the end of our week's holiday, and although we have had an amazing time I'm not sure we would return to this hotel. Here are our pros and cons Cons.. The rooms are tiny you can't swing a cat and the bathroom is even smaller a larger size person would struggle to fit, there is only one single wardrobe, with a couple of hangers and half of the bottom shelf is taken up with the safe deposit box and the sliding doors on it where broken making it even more tricky to use there's NO other storage at all makeing keeping the room tide impossible. The food in the Restaurant basic and not that nice, and after finding more gristle the meat and my Shepard's pie and my breakfast boiled egg looking very gray almost black in colour we resorted to eating out for the rest of the week. None bars don't serve any soft drink that isn't fizzy and the fruit juice in the breakfast machines is just like syrup so had to buy drinks from the supermarket for little one. There a two drink limit in one transaction which wouldn't be an issue but the bar staff are slow and tend to favour severing certain people over others my hubby was as the bar for 20 mins the other night waiting to be served. The pools where 1.25m meaning alot of kids couldn't touch the bottom at any point of the pool, and much as I didn't mind getting in the pool with my 6 year old it ment you couldn't take your eyes of him at all. there was a shallow bit fenced off bit it was tiny and you couldn't swim in it Pros The rooms although small where Immaculately clean as was everywhere else in the hotel, All the staff where friendly and approachable. The entertainment was great fun and all the kids looked to be be having a great time ( my little one wasn't really interested as he's ASD ) There where plenty of sunbeds and places to sit around the two pools and staff removed towels that where there before pool opening.

We recently returned from a 10 night stay at this hotel. When we first arrived we had a problem with our room but within 30 minutes Jet2 and the hotel Director Nathaniel sorted our problem out. The hotel is a great hotel the food is absolutely fantastic there is always something for everyone. Every member of staff were so attentive and nothing was too much trouble. There are 3 pool areas which are great for families however there was just myself and my wife but there is a rooftop bar with Jacuzzis for adults only which is where we spent most days. The hotel was spotless and maid's came in every day. This hotel is ideal for families with load for the children to do they are entertained from morning to night. We enjoyed this holiday so much we are returning in September. I can't recommend this hotel enough absolutely brilliant. Mandy&Ian

Thank you to everyone at the hotel for such an amazing holiday. The entertainment team kept us all busy and laughing throughout. Food was so good and lots of options available. Bar staff were always friendly and really good with the kids. Weather was perfect and met some really lovely people too. I know the hotel has some negative reviews, but I would 100% stay here again and look forward to our next visit 😊 rooms could be a bit bigger and updated but we managed with 4 of us for a week. Rooftop bar was lovely too, but no children allowed.
