I made the reservation basically because we couldn't find a room anywhere else. This location is close to the family we drove to San Antonio to visit. We were in the car for 16 hours and just really ready to crash when we arrived. I had called ahead to confirm the reservation since it was going to be around 9 pm when we arrived. We checked in, fell into bed and went to sleep. The next morning, we woke up to a wonderfully, delicious, free buffet style breakfast with a lot of choices. The hotel staff were polite and though we never needed a thing, asked us often when we passed in the hall or lobby or by the pool area if we needed anything. The room was clean, full-size fridge, a small kitchenette, sitting area and comfortable bed. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion and a blow dryer were on site. The kitchen area would be great to keep from eating out so often as you could cook a full meal there if you wanted. A cooktop, microwave, dishes, utensils, cups and cookware, were all provided in the kitchenette as well as a coffee maker and toaster. The fridge had a working ice maker that made a lot of ice. I had requested a king size bed which isn't what we got, however, I made the reservations pretty last minute so it was what it was. The person at the desk, not always the same person, was always polite, attentive and available. The pool area was clean and stocked with towels. The room was relatively quiet for a hotel setting and there are stairs and elevators readily available. Plus you can park undercover in a secure basement location. I did not visit the fitness room, but ran in to a woman coming from there and she said it was great. All in all, I would definitively book a room there again next time we go that way. The price was good, the breakfasts were great, the hotel area was clean, the outdoor area was welcoming, easy access to the room from the parking area and the staff was always very nice. It was a great accidental find and I would highly recommend.

This Hampton Inn by Hilton is one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in San Antonio. The greeting, prompt service, and friendliness of the front desk were excellent. The room was very clean, comfortable, and had lots of space. Beds super comfy and overall quite, so slept great. Overall it was an great stay! Thank you!

I am not a hotel ”snob”, with unrealistic lofty expectations for Marriott's ”budget” hotels like Fairfield Inns. But my stay this week at this property was disappointing. I know properties are struggling with finding consistent staff, but the hotel was certainly not up to Marriott standards. It was dirty (my room, the hallways, the lobby area, everything). Towels are old and worn. My room wasn't cleaned properly. My first day there, I was working at the desk (which could also use some upgrading), and I reached my hands around and plowed my finger into a huge chunk of freshly chewed bubble gum. Really gross. When I mentioned the gum to the front desk person, and requested a thorough cleaning when I left the hotel for meetings one day, there was no apology. Just a yes, we'll get it taken care of. When I returned late that night, the gum had been removed, but the room was not thoroughly cleaned, nor had the carpet been thoroughly vacuumed. The HVAC system in my room (although it worked OK) was cracked (leading to rattles), and in pieces. They had no tea bags at all in the 24 hour coffee/tea area. When I asked for more, was told they had none. No plastic bag in the closet for soiled laundry. Lots of hotel options in the are. Look elsewhere.

In San Antonio for our son’s basketball tournament and choose Best Western based on the reviews. Completely SATISFIED!! Front desk staff friendly, very nice and helpful! Our room had plenty of space and it was very very clean! Our bathroom was big, very clean and the shower pressure great! Our son enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Breakfast was a hit! And we loved their Christmas decorations! I would definitely stay again and recommend it!
