I totally enjoyed my stay during a 4-days at this place. The location is super convenient, take 101/130/150 to go to Union square, walk a little bit and take 19 to go to Beach Road. If you are adventurous, you can actually walk to the Downtown. I had to check in early as my flight landed a bit advance. They allowed me to early check in at a nominal fee which is totally acceptable. Also the cityscape view from hotel is amazing! I felt the place is safer, all amenities provided (ironing bed, hangers, refrigerator, iron box, coffee and tea bags… so on). I would certainly stay here again and highly recommend checking this out. I stayed 3 nights in a female room, beds in a capsule style, a spacious and quiet room, a big locker, and it covered my bag, common bag and jacket. In every floor they have a lounge with TV, microwave, freezer, coffee and tea. The location is excellent, close to the market, public transport and tourist points at 20 minutes walk. I love and recommend!

If you're looking for bougie and fancy, this isn't the place for you! But if you want clean and comfy, this is the spot!! We stayed 3 nights @ the Castle Inn and couldn't have asked for better! The staff was great, our room was spotless (you could smell the clean), and we were an easy walk or Uber ride from everything we wanted to see. I know the ”motel-style” with external doors might turn people off, but we never once felt unsafe. It truly was a great stay and I'd book again without hesitation!

When we reached hotel, we were informed to pay destination fee of USD25 (excl tax) per day, you may use it to make purchases in hotel. Need to request for kettle n bedroom slippers n etc. The shower tap was so confusing to use. The toiletries was not check n refill (eg: no conditioner at day 3). There is only 1 toilet roll, no spare one. The phone can only use with speaker, cannot use receiver cos there is no cord. The service is below expectation for a reputable hotel like Westin n destination fees is really a surprised.

It took a long time to do it; I ordered a suite with a kitchen, all kinds of pots and utensils are complete, although the facilities are old, but it does not affect the use. There are many supermarkets around, life is convenient, and the hotel also has breakfast. The hotel is very quiet, but there are police cars or motorcycles whizzing by on the street every night, which has a slight impact on the quality of sleep. The overall feeling is more comfortable, and I will consider staying next time.

The location of this hotel is good but Do not live at the end of 11, which is beside a separate elevator, not only small! noisy! And the curtains are not blocked! The most terrible thing is that there is a light box in their hotel outside. Resolutely found the front desk to change rooms. After the change, the experience is much better, but the curtains are still not blackened. It is suitable for getting up in the morning to embrace the sun. Not very recommended, especially not recommended for families and business trips

Stayed here for 2 nights and was pleasantly surprised. Prices are quite affordable considering it's in San Francisco. The location was great. I booked this hotel in particular primarily because of its rather close proximity to the BART station. It is indeed only a 10-minute walk from Montgomery station, although if you're arriving from the airport be prepared to drag your bags uphill. The hotel is smack dab in the middle of Chinatown in a rather busy area. I never felt unsafe here, whether evening or early morning, as there are always people milling about minding their own business. If you like walking, you can journey to Fisherman's Wharf within 30 minutes on foot, which is what I did. You can also walk in the opposite direction toward Westfield and Target if you like to shop. There are several bus stops and tram lines nearby. As for the room, it was small but didn't feel cramped. There's no air-conditioning but it was rather chilly in July so I had no issues with heat. No problems with the shower either. Checking in and out were a breeze. I was even able to order food through GrubHub (because most restaurants in that area close at 8 pm even on weekends, which I found out the hard way!) I suppose my only complaint would be that you can definitely hear your neighbors at all times. I could hear someone stomping on the floor above, and sometimes I'd get noise from the rooms adjacent to mine. I was able to sleep just fine, though, as the bed was really comfortable. I'd changed my hotel to this one at the last minute and I'm glad I did. Apart from the occasional noise, I had a lovely stay.

Not Kimpton Level Quality. This is a nice Holiday Inn, but not worth the Kimpton price. Stayed for 5 nights. CONS: Homeless guy sitting in the corner sleeping at the long table in the nook of the lobby! Flies swarming outside front doors day and night; and flies in the lobby when they prop open the front door! Stairs going down to enter hotel; very inconvenient with luggage; Everyone pays for parking in price of room, even if you don't have a car; No coffee nor microwave in room; Coffee only in lobby only from 6-10am and it was already COLD at 6:45am; False Advertising: I measured the ”Queen bed”. It's NOT a Queen, it's a FULL sized mattress (smaller) bed! Why did the guy checking in the 4 of us ask if I wanted a free upgrade from 2 Queens to ONE King?!?! I assumed he said 2 Kings, but nope, he checked the 4 of us into a room with only 1 KING bed and explained their rooms are not big enough for 2 Kings. Wow! LOUD ANNOYING keyboard player/singer in small lobby Saturday night; guy checking us in had to shout over the ”music”; No dresser; Dirty, dusty carpet along the walls; Ice only on 3rd & 7th floors; Fitness Center is useless for weight lifting: hand weights up to only 25lbs and no Universal weights machine. 4 cardio machines not necessary because you automatically get your cardio walking anywhere in the city; No breakfast & their on-site restaurant went out of business; They ignored the loud car alarm in their garage for at least 10 minutes. I booked in for 2 nights here as a solo female traveller. I had confirmation emails etc. as proof that I had booked a single room - I arrived at the hostel around 6.20pm on a Friday to find I had been placed in a large mixed dorm. The guy on the front desk was polite but totally unhelpful apparently under instruction from his manager. I offered to take any of the female dorms but was told all were sold out. I could not take the bed offered by them in the large mixed dorm, and they offered no like for like alternative. I was told that if i cancelled my stay/didn't check in I would lose my full amount paid as it was outside the cancellation period - they didn't grasp that within the cancellation period I was getting the room I booked, so it wasn't a cancellation on my behalf and was instead them not supplying what was purchased. I wasted so much time here to be offered no help while going through ********** customer support - I eventually gave up at 9:30pm when my employer forked out for a bed in another hotel for me. ********** were meant to get a full refund for me, as they failed to uphold their part of the sale, but 2.5 weeks later I've had or heard nothing from the hostel. To pay for something which is totally unavailable, with no budge room and no option for a refund, is a total scam. Do not book here as a solo female traveller as you will not be respected or safe.

We chose this hotel because of the location for getting to the trolley, a Hop-on Hop-off tour stop, the local bus system, and the nearby BART system. For this it did not disappoint. The price is reasonable, and the hotel was very clean, and the staff was very friendly. From this, I digress. The noise level during the nights, was that a very loud level. All from external. Sirens, music, loud cars and trucks going by, garbage trucks in the middle of the night, quite a bit of yelling, and the like. Normal ear plugs did not help. If you stay here, you will need some heavy duty ear plugs. We get up earlier and the hotel lobby coffee was not ready ever before 7:00 a.m. there is coffee in the room, however if you need real creamer, you'll be out of luck until 7:00 approximately. Not a terrible review, just want people to be aware.
