"The hotel should be newly installed but the room has no smell. The room looks clean and tidy. It has its own parking lot. It does not touch the Chinese people. There are many Americans living in the hotel. The hotel is safe. The subway station is also close. Walk to Union Square for about 1.5km. , location can be. No early, there is Chinese food downstairs, there is a match on the opposite side, the attitude at the front desk is acceptable. Homeless outside the hotel is a little scary, try to travel as little as possible at night, it is quite difficult to avoid it completely at SanFrancisco, and there seems to be less near the Fisherman's Wharf. . . There seems to be three taxes in this hotel. . ."
"This is a place I want to come back to again.
But it's better to think about the time before you go.
Since it's a 100-year-old hotel, you can see a lot of really old things.
There's no problem using the hotel.
However, there's no coffee pot or kettle in the hotel room.
So, there's a coffee pot in the lobby, so tell them when you check in so they can drink it whenever they want.
A wonderful place with a Rococo atmosphere where you can feel the time all over your body.
My sister and I came here and there was nothing inconvenient.
Breakfast was bread, cereal, two kinds of fruit, yogurt, and scrambled eggs.
It wasn't anything special, but it was delicious because I had breakfast.
I'm looking for Korean food, but this was also delicious.
Above all, it's near Japantown, so it's a relatively safe area, so don't worry, and don't go out at night..
Two women... It's really scary when it starts to get dark at 7pm.
Japantown is safe, so I'm relieved, but I was still scared..ㅠ"
"There is a parking lot, but the surrounding environment is very general. The city of San Francisco is very general. Actually, I think it may be with an old name. There are a lot of tramps nearby. For safety reasons, it is recommended to go to la. Living better, playing is also, San Francisco Chinatown is very messy"

"The location is very good, opposite the pier and the clock tower. The room can see the cross-sea bridge, the lobby is very beautiful, and the room is large and comfortable. The Ding Ding bus station is downstairs, and it is very close to various attractions."
"From Roosevelt to Biden now, they all stayed at this hotel when they came to San Francisco. The hotel is very old and very large. The Christmas decorations on the first floor attract visitors.
The service in the hotel is very good and professional, and sometimes the Chinese language is also spoken. It is worthy of having served the president. However, the hotel facilities are average. Even a suite with an area of over 100 square meters cannot escape the small bathroom of a few square meters. You need to stand in the bathtub to take a shower. The sink is very small. If you are not careful, your toothbrush and toothpaste will fall into the toilet.
The network is very good, that's okay.
Located at the highest point in San Francisco, the view is great, and the room looks directly at ** Island. Walking down the hillside, you will find Chinatown and Union Square 2 blocks away. You need to climb back up, which is a bit hard."
"The location is really convenient, right next to Union Square and close to Powell St subway station. It is very convenient to go to the airport, a 30-minute direct ride. There are Burger King, McDonald's, 711 and Panda Restaurant nearby. I bought two bottles of water at 711 to solve the drinking water problem. There is also lemonade available in the hotel lobby. The room we booked was small, but the area was not small, it was completely suitable for 1 to 2 people to stay in, and the layout was reasonable. The room price/performance ratio is very satisfactory. The only problem was that my credit card didn't have a chip when I checked in, and the card machine couldn't read the magnetic stripe, so the staff had to input the number manually. An Asian staff member seemed a bit impatient. Isn't this a normal operation in your job?"
"The location is very good, the service is nice, and the staff is very polite. The breakfast is quite rich in the United States, with meat, milk, eggs, bread, fruits, and a wide variety of drinks. The only thing I am not satisfied with is the poor sound insulation. I can hear the sound of the door opening next door clearly."
"The staff are friendly and mostly can speak cantonese. The location was alright, difficult to find on the first day. Parking in SF is generally expensive. Room was dusty and the sofa give me rashes. However, the walk from Powell Station has a street of homeless people which I feel unsafe for ladies and young kids."
"It’s a rustic old building in a superb location in the city. The carpets, walls and lifts are charming. Bed was sunken and that isn’t something comfortable to sleep in. Fan was noisy and I don’t get why there’s the $10 per night amenities fee when I would have already paid for the room earlier?"
"Since San Francisco is known as one of the most expensive city in USA, I didn't expect that much with The Barnes. Though, staffs were really friendly and the room was kinda big but the bathroom was small.
I spent four nights with The Barnes, I don't like from this place is water pressure is so low. It was hard for me to take a shower."

GGuest UserThe staff were very friendly and the facility was clean.
I enjoyed my stay with coffee in the morning and wine in the evening.
Because it was near the station, sightseeing was easy.
I still want to use it.

Ssung941Amazing location - Walking distance to Fisherman’s Wharf and Lombard Street. Bus stops just steps away, can navigate the city easily.
Hotel - lovely decorated, with free coffee, tea and water offered to guests during designated hours. Lobby is full of amenities designed for kids and families, a lot of guests tend to hang around the communal areas during our stay.
Staff - very helpful. And they send SMS to guests to check in with them and share information about hotel events.

NNAV SGI recently had the pleasure of staying at **The Westin St. Francis San Francisco on Union Square**, and I must say, the experience was outstanding from start to finish. The hotel's prime location in Union Square puts you right in the heart of the city, making it easy to explore the best that San Francisco has to offer, from shopping to dining and cultural landmarks.
The historic charm of the hotel is wonderfully blended with modern comforts. My room was spacious, immaculately clean, and had an incredible view of the city. The Heavenly Bed truly lives up to its name—it was one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in!
The staff was welcoming and professional throughout my stay, ensuring that every need was met promptly and with a smile. The check-in process was smooth, and the concierge team provided great recommendations for local spots to check out.
Additionally, the hotel's amenities, including the fitness center and on-site dining options, were top-notch. I especially appreciated the rich history of the building itself, which added a unique element to my stay.
Overall, The Westin St. Francis is a perfect choice whether you're in San Francisco for business or leisure. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for luxury, comfort, and an unbeatable location!

JJiudiancepingjixiaoleiA hotel that is small but well-equipped. The hotel is adjacent to the Union Square shopping district. Turn left three blocks away and you will find the Neiman Marcus department store. The hotel is small and old, but it is very exquisite, clean and refreshing. There are many Indian-style decorations in the lobby, which is very atmospheric. The hotel service staff are extremely enthusiastic. The doorman immediately helped unload the luggage, delivered it all the way to the room, and even helped dust the dust. In the evening, they will also give you chocolate-filled snacks. The room is very clean and comfortable, and is also equipped with an electric kettle, knitted bathrobes, and slippers. The bed sheets are also like domestic hotels using quilt covers and duck down quilts. The toiletries are all made from the old British brand Molton Brown, and the fragrance lasts a long time. In short, this Taj Hotel is a secret treasure in the center of Sanban City. It has the warmth of home and the luxury of a third world country. Highly recommended!

FFrederickyeoI like the hotel.
Located at a wonderful location just right across the cable car stop. The room was cozy and comfortable. The bed was nice and comfy. There are safe, ice bucket and coffee machine. And the bathroom was spacious.
I will very much recommend this hotel.

GGuest UserAll of the staff seemed really nice. From the moment we arrived and had a friendly greeting from the valet parking worker, to the ladies that we interacted with in reception.
The room was nothing special, but by that I mean it had no outstanding features, or any distinguishable traits that would separate it from other hotels
The concierge was friendly and helpful, and was very useful in helping us to plan our activities.
And the hotel is in a good location to get to the pier or do the 'big bus' tour.
But here's the downside. The gym is small, had no steriliser, or wipes, even though one of the rules stated in the gym is to wipe down the equipment after use.
And the overall impression of the gym is that it could do with a really good clean from top to bottom.
Added to that there's the washing machine and tumble dryer located in the gym.
Yes that's right, in the actual gym.
Now we were very happy when we read about the hotel having washing machine facilities, but we were slightly surprised at it's location.
Another thing was the air con. We stayed in September and although the weather for the season was just starting to cool down after the summer, it was still fairly warm.
The air con looked as if it had been fitted in the seventies and made a sound as if it had been running non stop ever since then.
It was so noisy that we had to turn it off completely at night time and at different times during the day.
On a final point we received news regarding the death of my partner's daughter, which meant that we had to cut our whole vacation short including this leg of the trip.
We informed the front desk that we would be checking out one day early.
We were not expecting a refund, for that day, but after being told by the member of staff that the 30 dollar a night 'destination fee' would be waived for the night that we were not going to be there, we later found out that this fee had still been added to the final bill.
We still have no idea what a 'destination fee' is, but to be charged it when we weren't even at the hotel was extra galling.
And what was also strange was the fact they didn't even ask why it was that we had decided to cut our stay short?
Would you not be interested to know whether something was wrong with your customers stay, and to know why they had cut their visit short??
A bit of a poor end to a otherwise 'ok' stay at the hotel.

GGuest UserIn the city center, the transportation is convenient and you can check in in advance. There are some homeless people around. You have to swipe your room card at the hotel door to enter at night, which ensures safety. The old hotel looks good, but the room facilities are old.
