The doors of the normal rooms were all too narrow! So back to the reception. The staffer replied to me there, he did not make any error and asked if I really booked the disabled room. Only when I showed him my reservation, he began to make a effort. But not to organise me an appropriate room in another hotel, but to carry the hotel guest who had the room back there. So not only a angry guest, but two! At the point it was enough for me and I myself worried about an alternative. The staff was apparently easier, but at the point it would have been nice to hear a word of excuse. Failure! The hotel manager will sign up with me next day, it said. But when the announcement was made it, it was also. Good crisis management is definitely different!

Weinhaus Uhle is absolutely delightful. Our family of 5 guests stayed there during a week-long trip to Schwerin, which is a charming city. Perfectly located within walking distance to shopping, dining, the castle, the theater, the museum, and other city sights, the hotel is beautifully maintained. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and well appointed. The staff is professional and welcoming. And now, the food. Starting with breakfast in the adjacent restaurant, tables were beautifully set and tiered trays presented lovely cheeses, fruits, meats, and jams. The bread basket was exceptional. Coffee was excellent and kept hot and plentiful on the table. We treated ourselves to dinner at the Weinhaus Uhle's Michelin restaurant and we were all overwhelmed by the food and the service. With each course, a surprise from the kitchen delighted us! Each course was gorgeously presented and delicious beyond description. Even the salt was unique. Our family spent four marvelous hours at the beautifully set table and it was the most amazing meal I've ever had. Each dish was uniquely presented, right down to heated and chilled vessels. If you have the opportunity to stay at Weinhaus Uhle, you'll be delighted that you did. We will definitely return!

Herr Janke, is such a kind man we meet him after our orginal hotel had double booked on us for our wedding!!! We visited his hotel highly stressed and not sure how we were going to make our wedding happen. We were meet by a very calm and helpful gentleman. Who was able to secure rooms for us and also give us several ideas for our wedding. We viewed several rooms which were spotlessly clean and looked very comfortable. Most if the rooms are overlooking a small type of courtyard and very quite. It is excellent value for money too. Love the fact that he runs a honesty policy for the beers you comsume there are fridges that you can help yourself to beer and then tell staff on check out Schewerin is a lovely city well worth a visit. Yhe location of this hotel is excellent right beside the trams and the castle. Jennifer

This was the worst stay ever. Never experienced anything like it. Dirty, spider webs everywhere, spiders smashed dead on the walls etc. needless to say that the hotel wasn’t overbooked, they didn’t offer a different room to me. All there was, was a small apology. That’s it. I highly recommend not to stay at this place. Unbelievable how they treat their guest.

The hotel is located right in the heart of the old city. Excellent staff. Pleasant service in the restaurant. Various, satisfied and very delicious breakfasts. Perfect cleanliness. I wanted to stay here again. The only thing that is unclear: Its name was Boulevard Hotel Altstadt Schwerin, not Mercure Hotel Altstadt Schwerin, although it is this hotel in all descriptions and photos
