Beautifully minimalistic, everything in our room had a modern look, and the entire grounds were stunning. Loved the view, and it was so quiet all night long. We were pleasantly surprised with the elegance and high style. We’ll be back for sure.

This place is a total joke. They painted some damp old hotel rooms yellow and are trying to pass it off as a Scottsdale resort with resort prices. Our room was musty and damp, old AC unit plus tons of street noise woke us up all night long. Stiff uncomfortable sheets. Leaking refrigerator. Slow wifi that couldn’t support the streaming they offer on the tv half the time. There’s no cleaning offered during your stay and extra supplies cost $$. We used all our towels up mopping up the leaking fridge. Pool is decent but was unfortunately overrun by a loud group of kids and a dad playing unsafe and rowdy games - encouraged by the hotel staff. We didn’t even touch the spa because the prices were totally prohibitive and if it’s anything like the quality of the hotel it would not have been worth it. They try to minimize the need for hotel staff with their minimal services, but the interactions we did have were mostly rude and unfriendly. The lobby was strangely very beautiful and inviting - I can’t figure out why they don’t put half this amount of effort into the rooms themselves as no one really uses the lobby and rooms are self check-in. The biggest thing this hotel has going for it is that it’s in the heart of old town Scottsdale which was a great location, walkable to shops, restaurants, and civic center. So if that’s your single criteria then go for it. I’ll be avoiding the Sonder brand in the future.

this was my first time staying here and i loved it. i had an amazing view of the pool. the sonder is truly a beautiful place and super convenient everything is walking distance. all the bars and restaurants were a 4 min drive, 10-15 min walk. i would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone.

Sonder dropped the ball from first stepping into the hotel. Upon arriving, none of the codes emailed to our group worked, and we needed to get new ones. Upon entering my room, I noticed stains on the sheets and malfunctioning electrical in the bathroom. I was moved to a different room, which also had hair in the sheets. Due to cleanliness issues, I was moved to a third, fourth and fifth room, each dirtier than the last. Sonder had no more rooms that were “up to par” after checking three additional rooms (for a total of 8 rooms) and was asked to stay elsewhere and discuss it with my group sales manager. No one took ownership or responsibility, and no apologies were issued. After telling my company manager about this, she spoke with Sonder and had to “deep clean” all of the rooms for the rest of our group prior to arrival.

this place is a motel, as long as you are okay with that then it is okay ... The rooms are old, walls are filthy, floor dirty and sticky. The rooms smells of mildew and overall a bad place. on a business trip so all I want is a clean room to sleep in. No front desk staff, no one answers the phones and no one responds to emails

Really? No! Yes, really! I checked into Sonder from an on-line booking company since I thought this was a good price. When I arrived, I thought, well, I can always changed if I didn't like it as I was staying in Scottsdale for three days. Here's what happened; -got into bed - most comfortable hotel bed in many months -pillows and sheet quality was fantastic -okay, in the shower ... what great water pressure -lush cotton towels -oh look, I can open the door to the baloney --fresh air - by God, ..great internet connection!!! next morning, went to the front desk and extended my room for two more days! So when you think what is important when you stay at a hotel... this place got a GOLD star! The only down side was that there was no desk in the room.

I’ll start with this: Good place to stay, BUT do not expect a 4 star experience from this hotel. Positives: Very affordable, decent sized room with amenities as described (2 queen beds, bathroom, coffee maker, mini fridge, TV, earplugs & white noise machine), simple check in and out process, walking distance from shops and nightlife (very very close to everything!). There is security walking around at night enforcing rules and able to help guests which was nice! Where Sonder can improve the guest experience: The unit was cleaned with lackadaisical effort (under the bed was filthy, there was a dead bug on one of the towels, and drawers didn’t look wiped down throughly). Additionally there is no turndown service, which i was aware of at the time of booking. The balcony units on the first floor are shared and other guests have access to your patio area including right up to your sliding door. The main pool was closed all weekend long and there was no DJ or poolbar as expected (and honestly the reason I booked here over other similar hotels nearby so it was very disappointing). I got texts each day stating the pool was being cleaned and it was closed… def a bummer since the other pool was very small. The restaurant closed early on Saturday (thankfully there’s plenty other options in walking distance). Lastly, maintenance was slow to respond. My lights/power went out and it took over an hour for them to come help fix it. Like I said, absolutely in no way is it a four star hotel experience (probably a 2.5 at best) BUT it was nice for a couple nights. I wouldn’t recommend staying long term or with a large group. Tips: (1) don’t pay for parking. There’s plenty free parking… I’d only pay if you’re going during a busy season. (2) lattes at the lobby are $7 but they are sooooo good and I’d get one again lol

Right in the heart of down town scottsdale. So you can park and walk from there. No resort fee! Great pool that has day beds and cabanas for rental. There is a restaurant on site, but did not have a chance to experience it.

All very nice, and the price was really good. It is keyless entry like am Airbnb. We were on the first floor, so there is a patio you can step out to from the sliding door. The pool area is very beautiful. They do charge for daily parking.
