Huge and unwelcoming structure that boasts only a beautiful panorama. Normal breakfast.

The hotel is situated on one of the hill tops with spectacular views, some of the best I have seen. The service and facilities are great and perfect for what we wanted. It was clean and the staff were very helpful. The only issue was the breakfast buffet. There was plenty of variety, very tasty but unfortunately it was always cold. They didn’t have under heaters for the food trays, there were only heat lamps. The surrounding area was a little tired but I believe this is due to storm they experienced in September 2023. I would go back and visit again.

We have stayed here now 4 times . The manager of reception has been very kind to move us into a more agreeable room . Now we can continue to enjoy our holiday in this wonderful hotel once again. The hotel has perhaps the best views in Skiathos and eating out side for breakfast and dinner has to be one of the highlights.

Fantastic location, with stunning views. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Our experience was elevated by our choice of room, 2 bedrooms linked by a lounge, and the hot tub was a touch of luxury. very near to reception and bar/restaurant/pool. Spotlessly clean. Local buses are so easy to use 3 euro to get into Skiathos town, but steep walk down/up to the hotel. Hotel does offer a shuttle service but I think only once or twice a day, the times didn’t work for us. The pool is lovely, very deep, and the sun deck is like being on a ship. Weather was very changeable, the two beaches were lovely but only there for a short time and weather not great, for a day Maratha would be our choice, as smaller. The negatives in our opinion - food choice not varied enough, and the restaurant could be so much more. Very basic, not a lot of a**osphere. Hot plates not kept food hot enough. - had lunch once at the pool bar, expensive for what we had, and couldn’t accommodate a simple request of a tuna sandwich with no onion as pre mixed? - no kettle facility in the room - mini market on site very basic, sort of a shed in the children’s playground area, and not signposted, also get your pool towels from here. Again this could be so much more, maybe even nicer if the shop was inside the lobby area? On balance we had a lovely 4 days here, and would recommend the hotel, but some areas could elevate the experience. This is a very relaxed hotel, no entertainment, other than once a week Greek

Travelled with Jet2, delayed due to fog, but would rather be safe than sorry. Half board. At first approach to the hotel the sight of the steps and slope filled us with dread for the week ahead! However, from the pool area the views are stunning, I don't think I've ever been anywhere where the views are as lovely. But, we were right to be worried, this place is quite remote, no easy access to a shop for water as the the shop on site stocks nothing but a few sun essentials and Ice cream. Asked at reception could we buy water and milk, no only what was in the mini bar, small bottles of water. Used the shuttle bus to drop us near a supermarket on the way to the beach, then picked it up again to go back at the same place 20 minutes later. Had to do that a few times. We were in a standard room, small balcony overlooking an enclosed garden which was ok, we hadn't paid for a sea view. Twin beds approx 3ft wide (small) and so hard. Rooms very clean but cold, but we were ok with that and there were blankets if needed. Drainage smell for first couple of days, we reported it to reception and it was not an issue for the rest of the week. Rooms cleaned daily, and smell lovely, fresh towels daily. Complimentary toiletries, not used so not sure if replenished. Hairdryer supplied with the shortest lead going, only place where you can use a mirror at the same time is the bathroom, not ideal! Suggest you pack an extension lead as there's no sockets in the vicinity of the dressing table. Doesn't matter what floor you are on you will need to take the stairs either to get to reception/exit or to get to the restaurants and bars. There is no lift! Food, there is a fair choice but always lukewarm, the hottest things are the plates. We were really impressed by the extensive choice of food when we first arrived, but found out later that there was extra food/choice put in due to a christening taking place that same evening. Drinks fairly expensive, everyone is complaining and leaving the hotel to get the bus elsewhere for food and drinks. Cocktails €13-15 and we couldn't even taste the alcohol. €7 for a large Mythos beer (similar to the UK excluding London). Pool area lovely and clean and grounds kept really nice, although a few repairs needed in some of the paving. Pool freezing, only brave enough to get in once, the lifeguard confirmed it's not heated, I believe I read that when I booked, but it really needs to be heated, it is barely being used. Sunbeds old, but good quality and nicely padded, quite comfy to lay on. Sun umbrellas nice, in good nick. But beds far too close together, had a feeling that if one turned over, everyone has to turn over! Nice choice of pool bar lunches. Most of the hotel staff very pleasant, hotel only just opened for the season, there's probably some newbies working here. Apparently this is a 4 star hotel, but I would only rate it 3+ at the most. There is an additional €10 a room per night environmental charge, not sure what they are spending

Firstly, we’ve had a lovely holiday and would definitely go back to Skiathos. Now the hotel… Positives: This has to be one of the best hotels on the Island for the views which are fantastic. Would highly recommend getting a room with a sea view. I spotted a couple of dolphins one evening. Hotel rooms and communal areas are clean. Rooms were cleaned daily. The beds were comfortable but the hotel could invest in some softer pillows (though that’s personal preference). Most of the staff are friendly and helpful some not so much It’s in a great location with easy access to beaches and there’s a free shuttle service to them as the hotel is on a hill. The bus driver also took some of us to the far end of Koukounaries bay. The beaches are lovely, particularly Maratha. It’s just a shame the beach bar wasn’t open when we were there (early May). Bus stop 22 is just a 5 minute walk away down the hill and the buses are so convenient going to Skiathos town or any of the of the other beaches on the route. I’d recommend bus stop 20 for Troulos Bay as it’s just a few minutes walk on a flat road, has good facilities (bars/cafes) and is simply beautiful and the water is so clear. Negatives: Despite our UK tour operator giving the hotel a generous 4* rating, the hotel rates it as a 5* so beware of the €10 per room per day tourist tax on the bill at the end of the holiday. The hotel is not a 5* hotel by any stretch. The first afternoon we arrived it was wet and cold and all we wanted was a coffee and somewhere to warm up and relax after a very early start. We weren’t allowed in the lounge area at that time and could only sit in the outside bar area. Not a great start for new guests. There’s no lift. We did know this beforehand and accepted it. However, I’d expect any 4 or 5* hotel to have a lift particularly when there are so many stairs. This hotel is not for anyone who has mobility issues. Food was edible but bland and not very warm. There was a reasonable selection but it was very samey and uninspiring. I’ve been to hotels before where the food has been varied, delicious and hot. The hotel can’t seem to cater for cooler evenings. Due to limited indoor seating, most nights we had to eat outside and we were really cold. This could be easily solved with some outside heaters. There are some heaters near the bar area but they seemed to be for effect mainly as they didn’t give off much heat. Rooms are clean but dated. We had a superior room but the only superior thing about it was the view. Bathroom was clean but not what you’d expect from a 5* hotel. Bathroom door had holes in it. Extractor fan cord came off the wall when pulled exposing electrics. There was a leak from somewhere when the shower was on but couldn’t find the source. I had to prop the shower head up with elastic bands. A kettle was provided but there were no cups or spoons (helpful). When the indoor lounge area was opened up, it lacked any a**osphere. For an apparent 5* hotel

Still here at the moment. On a positive note, the views from our room are beautiful. The staff are friendly and helpful. On a negative note (and there are plenty). The room is freezing so the beds feel damp. I've slept in my dressing gown each night. I know the hotel can't be held accountable for the poor weather but there should be some form of heating especially when your room gets the sun (Lol) in the late afternoon. If you require any hot water you must run the tap for 30mins, thought the receptionist was joking when we informed her of our water situation. But no, she's correct......honest Evening entertainment, non existent. Drinks very expensive, 1 malibu and coke 15 euro. Lastly but not least. The food. Warm at best, but usually cold. Little variety. No hot drinks available with evening meal. On a particular cold, wet evening... I was grateful that the coffee machine was switched on...... How thoughtful, I thought..... I asked for a cup to be informed, it was switched on by mistake and if I wished coffee after our meal I would have to purchase a cup from the outside bar. ( it was pouring down) So much for customer service. Safe to say, not for us.

I’m actually here now at the hotel (10/5/24) Amazing sea views from the pool area, pool bar ok, hate to be here in peak season due to staff extremely slow…! Not sure about the previous reviews from Shakespeare’s Socrates 🙂🙂 In my opinion the hotel is a 3 star with 5 star views… Food is ok very bland but edible, can always get something to eat but ya get what you pay for! Hotel is big but no gymnasium 🙄🙄 Weather awful so literally nothing to do, there is no evening entertainment which the website states there is 😵‍💫 Bus into town is 25 minutes, just souvenir shops and some nice restaurants, the only way this hotel is decent is when the sun is shining and everyone is around the beaches and pool areas, simple as that, let’s not kid ourselves, good luck if you’re at the back of the hotel, just look at a mountain wall, €230 to upgrade for sea view 👏👏 Anyway it’s my opinion and yes there are some ok positives but Skiathos won’t be on my list in the future 🫢
