Highly recommend the Wellesley Hotel Changsha Meixi Lake! My stay here exceeded expectations, it was truly relaxing and rejuvenating ✨
🔹Exceptional Butler Service: The 24-hour butler service was incredibly responsive, meticulous, and thoughtful. From guiding me through check-in to handling requests, they were proactive and enthusiastic, paying attention to every detail, which made me feel incredibly welcome.
🔹Rich and Delicious Breakfast: The semi-buffet breakfast offered a wide variety of options, blending Chinese and Western cuisine. The freshly prepared Changsha rice noodles and the semi-buffet items were authentic and fresh, satisfying my taste buds completely.
🔹Wonderful Late-Night Dessert: The surprising late-night sweet soup was delicately sweet and comforting with an excellent texture. Enjoying it late at night was particularly warming and soothing, adding a great touch to the ambiance.
The hotel's environment is elegant and tranquil, and both the service and dining are impeccable. It's an excellent choice for a vacation in Changsha; I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit!

Guest UserA very pleasant stay! 😊 The hotel service was excellent. A week before our arrival, a concierge called to confirm our check-in time and asked if we needed any children's amenities since we were traveling with my son. We booked a two-bedroom suite, which was fully equipped and comfortable. The kitchen had a microwave, a capsule coffee machine, a large refrigerator (which was clean and odorless), and a washing machine. There were two bathrooms, not huge, but perfectly adequate. The master suite bathroom had both a bathtub and a shower, and the water pressure was great and very comfortable. The hotel is relatively close to bustling areas like Wuyi Square and IFS (International Finance Square), about a twenty-minute drive. Those with good stamina could even walk. However, due to the hot weather, we mostly took taxis, which were inexpensive, usually around ten to twenty RMB to popular attractions.
For Orange Isle, taxis have restrictions, so we opted for the subway. The hotel is less than a 10-minute walk to Furong Square Metro Station. From there, it's just 3 stops on Line 2 to Orange Isle Metro Station, and the attraction entrance is right outside, which was very convenient. During our four-day stay, the front desk staff and servers were all very welcoming, always greeting guests warmly whenever they saw them.

YaoshijiushiwoCame to Changsha Meixihu for an event, and my friend highly recommended The Luxury Collection Hotel, Changsha. My overall stay was excellent and definitely worth recommending.
The breakfast was very rich with a wide variety of choices, and the taste was also great.
Service: From the concierge to the front desk and housekeepers, everyone was outstanding.
Facilities: The swimming pool and gym were both very good. They even offered bicycle riding activities with 'Xiao Bu'. The room was very clean, and the lake view from the room was beautiful.

Guest UserThe room was spacious and clean, located right at the confluence of the Liuyang and Xiang Rivers, offering unbeatable views. Huge thanks to Sera for the thoughtful arrangements, I was super satisfied! The surrounding area is part of the vast Beichen development, with plenty of shops and restaurants, giving it a lively, local vibe.
The hotel's location is ideal, just a 1-2 minute walk from Changsha Museum, the Concert Hall, and the Library, and a 5-minute walk to the Three Halls and One Theater pier.
Excellent location.
The river view room offered first-class scenery, and breakfast was incredibly rich. Plus, there's a strong 'old money' feel to the place, making it perfect for travel photography.
I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next trip to Changsha.

The hotel's location is great, very close to Huangxing Pedestrian Street and Wuyi Square. The ”Extraordinary Coffee” freshly ground coffee for two was delicious. We didn't use the free voucher for the ”Centuries-Old Heritage” Huo Gong Dian stinky tofu/fried glutinous rice cakes (choose one). The ”Worry-Free Breakfast” buffet, extended until 11:00 AM, was also tasty. The front desk staff were very friendly, the rooms have a mini-fridge, and there's a laundry room on the 4th floor of the hotel.

The hotel boasts an excellent location with convenient transportation. The Metro Line 2 station is right downstairs, offering direct access to Orange Isle, Mount Yuelu, and Wuyi Square, making getting around incredibly easy. There's also a gym and a self-service laundry room upstairs. The room itself is well-appointed, cozy, and comfortable – overall, very good. The front desk staff are warm, attentive, and very helpful in resolving any issues. I highly recommend staying here. Plus, there are robot services downstairs for added convenience.

Guest UserService: The service attitude is excellent, they're always responsive to requests. Messages to their WeChat customer service were answered instantly, especially by Wendy and Clara. All staff members were very polite. There were two thoughtful details: a handwritten welcome card from the housekeeping staff, and on the second day, they replenished more drinking water after noticing our high consumption. Also, staff and concierges would avoid sharing an elevator with guests.
Ambiance: The lobbies on the first and sixth floors have a nightclub-esque style, with space and astronaut elements everywhere. The outdoor balcony on the sixth floor in the evening was very comfortable; enjoying the sunset with a gentle breeze and a 'Cha Yan Yue Se' drink was incredibly pleasant.
Transportation: Although the location isn't ideal for popular attractions (takes a bit longer to get there), transportation is convenient. There's a metro Line 2 station downstairs on Changsha Avenue, and taxis are readily available. It's only two metro stops from Changsha South Station.
Facilities: Compared to similarly-rated hotels in Guangdong, the room size is a bit smaller, but the layout is well-designed. Upon entering, there's a wardrobe acting as a buffer, so you don't see the bed directly. The corner by the entrance is perfect for luggage, and the toilet and shower are separated on opposite sides. The soft amenities are also great: Dyson hairdryer, Nespresso coffee machine, and a wide variety of drinks in the fridge, including beer, carbonated drinks, and local Changsha specialties.
Cleanliness: The cleanliness was excellent, and there were no odors in the restroom.
Breakfast Service Extended until 2 PM: This is a rare service for many hotels. No need to rush to eat breakfast early, definitely a thumbs-up! Plus, they switch to lunch at 12 PM, so even late risers don't have to worry about going to the restaurant at 11 or 12 and finding nothing to eat.
Bar: There are different live singers every night, creating a nice atmosphere. Bartender Zhang Yang provided attentive service; I felt my 'Changsha County Chronicles' cocktail was too sweet, so he remixed a new one according to my taste.

Guest User## Service
The front desk service is exceptional; whenever I encountered an issue, they always resolved it perfectly. Manager Doris handled problems professionally and promptly. Seeing that I had two babies with me, she immediately informed housekeeping to bring us children's amenities. My kids absolutely adored her—she's amazing!
## Cleanliness
The hotel rooms were spotless and tidy, with great attention to detail in their cleanliness.
## Environment
This environment is perfect for families with children. There isn't much vehicle traffic, and the hotel is located within the park, making it very safe. Nearby attractions include a water park, an ice world, and an ocean kingdom, making it easy to keep kids entertained for two days without any issues. If I had to pick a downside, it would be that there are very few shops around the park, so ordering takeout is often necessary.
## Facilities
It's a five-star setup, with nothing to complain about. The hotel is also very well-maintained.

Jon StokesThis is a stunning hotel with a mind blowing view. It was also right in the heart of Chansha for shopping food and crowds. I was on the 92st floor and recommend getting the river view. The only negative was my room smelling os stale smoke when I returned in the evening, the result of no doubt someone in a room nearby smoking up a storm. This was a major disappointment for the amount I paid for my room.
The afternoon reception staff were not overly welcoming but sometimes this is due to a reluctance due to not speaking English. The morning team were very courteous and spoke wonderful English. I am a loyal IHG member, but could not get a hotel in the heart of things like the Niccolo. I won't be shifting my loyalty just yet.

Guest UserThis hotel is quite unique, with individual villa-style accommodations. The grounds are filled with lush greenery, well-maintained and with beautiful colorful flowers. The resort is expansive, making it convenient to park if you have your own car, or you can use their shuttle service.
It's right next to Window of the World and the Undersea World, as well as where Hunan TV films its shows, which is quite popular. I didn't get to the gym, and the swimming pool isn't in the same building as the rooms; it's in another building. It's an indoor heated pool, which was quite pleasant, and thankfully, it wasn't too crowded when I went.
The staff I encountered were all very friendly, and the front desk was patient and helpful in resolving any issues. My room was clean and tidy, and the service staff were very welcoming.
