AAnonymous UserI had some business in the area and chose to stay at the Junyi Shanshui Hotel. My stay was really great! First off, it's a standalone hotel, which makes you feel very secure. I also loved the environment and design style – the dappled sunlight and the bamboo leaves rustling in the breeze were incredibly refreshing. The air conditioning in the room worked perfectly, and the front desk agent, Mr. 11, was very attentive; he'd already turned on the AC for us before we even got to our room, which was so convenient and smart. The non-smoking floor had fresh air with no strange odors.

GGuest UserOverall, my stay was quite good. The hotel's environment, service, and facilities were all satisfactory, especially the food, which was excellent, and the room service was also great. The only downside was the complimentary travel photography session. The composition and photo quality were really disappointing; I couldn't even pick one to be retouched, so I ended up not wanting any of them. It felt like a waste of time and really soured my mood. Honestly, if it weren't for this photo service, my overall impression of the hotel would have been even better. I'd suggest the hotel either improve the photography team or simply cancel this complimentary offering.

GGuest UserThe room layout is quite spacious, with two separate areas: a private bedroom and a bathroom/toilet located outside. It feels very large.
The hotel has a Republic of China era theme, with beautiful scenery everywhere. It features smart home technology, offering an experience that is both understated and luxurious.
Their service is truly exceptional: complimentary coffee at the front desk, breakfast, afternoon tea, and a goodnight dessert make you feel right at home. The breakfast service is particularly thoughtful; they offer an extra main course for guests with children.
They also offer the convenient service of sending luggage directly to the high-speed train station in advance, which is a huge help for travelers like us. Absolutely fantastic!

GGuest UserMy best friend and I came to Changsha for a trip, and we chose this guesthouse based on its aesthetic appeal – it truly exceeded our expectations.
It's located inside an alley but very close to the entrance, so there's no need to worry about safety. The location is absolutely fantastic; you can walk directly to attractions like Wuyi Square, Huangxing Walking Street, Pozi Street, and Wenheyou. It's also walkable to popular restaurants like Cuiyan Xiaochao Huangrou (Stir-fried Beef), Ben Luobo, and the famous Black Classic Stinky Tofu – incredibly convenient.
Regarding the service, the customer service via WeChat was incredibly responsive and helpful, always addressing any questions or concerns. When we checked in, they even helped us with our luggage. Every evening, there's complimentary late-night snack, and the mung bean soup is absolutely delicious. The facilities are also excellent; the washer-dryer combo was very useful.
I highly recommend this guesthouse. It excels in safety, photo-friendliness, and convenience.

GGuest UserGetting to Orange Isle is super convenient; you can either walk across Xiangjiang Bridge or take the subway just one stop. It's also only about 3 stops to downtown areas like Wuyi Square.
Environment: The surrounding area is a bit so-so, with a few construction sites, but it's very quiet.
Service and hygiene were both excellent, making me feel right at home.

AAnonymous UserThe customer service was excellent. The hotel is located right above a subway station, which makes getting around incredibly convenient. It's just one stop away from Wuyi Square. The hygiene was also good, and it was very quiet. My only minor suggestion is that there's no good place to put clothes while showering; hanging them in the shower gets them wet. Adding a hook in the toilet area would be much more convenient.

DDadadajingI'd likely stay here again next time. The hotel is very clean and the lobby is impressive. The best part is the excellent location – it's incredibly convenient! Most attractions are within a 20-minute walk. There's a subway station right across the street, just a few minutes' walk away. Orange Isle is directly opposite and easily reachable on foot. The room I got on the second day offered views of the Xiang River, perfect for capturing night photos of Orange Isle and the river. The window view was fantastic, but the bathroom door had a gap that made it hard to close properly. I'd suggest getting that fixed.

The moment I opened the door, I was absolutely stunned – is this what a riverside view from the 53rd floor looks like? The 180-degree floor-to-ceiling windows framed the Xiang River and the city skyline like a painting. Even on a rainy day, the misty river view outside felt like a movie filter. And I could see it all from my bed! Waking up and opening the curtains to the Xiang River right there was just incredible! (Got me hyped again!)
The room details were meticulously thought out. The Italian minimalist decor paired with the warm-light fireplace really elevated the whole feel! I really have to praise the pillows – they perfectly cradled my head. As someone who usually has trouble falling asleep, I even drifted off while watching a movie. The bathrobes and disposable slippers weren't cheap quality either; in fact, they thoughtfully provided two pairs of slippers.
The hotel's public areas were also a huge plus, perfect for photos. There's a self-service laundry room and a gym. The breakfast also exceeded expectations – noodles, wontons, stir-fries, desserts, and fruits were all well-stocked. I had two bowls of the freshly made Changsha rice noodles!
(P.S. Breakfast is served from 7:30 AM to 11:00 AM)
The location is also very convenient, not far from Wuyi Square, and the subway station is about a minute's walk away. After a tiring day of exploring, coming back to the hotel and having a quiet river view is truly therapeutic!!!
There's also a 24-hour selfie studio on the first floor (Pic 13).
If you're visiting Changsha, you really can't go wrong with this place – just book it!
