"We stayed at this hotel because we were seeing a show at the Meixi Lake Grand Theatre, and it's super convenient – just a five-minute walk away. They called us a day before to confirm our booking and Marriott Bonvoy account, which was great. However, when we got to the front desk, they told us the room type we booked wasn't available. They offered an upgrade but with an extra rollaway bed, which wasn't ideal for friends traveling together – a king bed and a small extra bed isn't really suitable. Thankfully, they resolved the issue in the end, but for a Marriott property that confirmed our booking in advance, not having the booked room type available was a bit surprising. The room itself was spacious and clean, and the air conditioning worked perfectly, not like those central systems that can be hit or miss. Breakfast officially goes until 10:30 AM, but the noodle station was already closed by 10 AM. Also, it has some common Marriott chain issues like poor soundproofing on the doors and no screen mirroring for the TV."

Downstairs, there are buses that go to places like Binhe Road, and the subway is just a few minutes' walk away. The rice noodles at breakfast were delicious – I ate them every day during my stay. The hotel also provides a dining voucher, and I only found out after checking that the restaurant on the second floor is actually a popular spot. Their chopped chili fish head was the best I had during my four days in Changsha... The only downside is the poor soundproofing; there were noisy kids upstairs jumping around late at night."

A few highlights from my stay: 1. Exceptional butler service – The butler name正波 was incredibly responsive, thoughtful, and caring. They even helped me return more than 10 parcels, which was far beyond what I expected. I really appreciated the extra effort. 2. Excellent laundry service – One of my favorite services during the stay. My clothes came back clean, fresh, and smelled amazing. 3. Innovative technology – I loved the smart room controls and the delivery robot that brought my requested toiletries right to my room. It made the whole experience feel modern and convenient. 4. Perfect location – The hotel is in a very strategic location. Most of the popular attractions are within a 1 km walk, yet the hotel itself is surprisingly quiet, allowing for a peaceful night's sleep. Plus, it features a panoramic floor-to-ceiling window, so you can enjoy the view right from your bed. The best part is the smart home system; you can control the lights and curtains just by voice command – a real lifesaver for lazy people like me! The bedding was so soft, and they even provided tea bags. Enjoying a cup of tea while looking at the night view was just perfect. "Absolutely loved my stay in this hotel in Changsha, everything is perfect; the location is right at the most popular city center, the Wuyi square, lots of eateries in the locality, a walking square nearby, and the Xiangjiang river is within walking distance to the hotel. I loved everything about this hotel, and the price isn't high. I highly recommend this hotel to travellers heading to Changsha, the staff are very friendly and helpful, and the morning breakfast is delicious as well. The only disappointment for me was no coffee but only instant ones, but I am not complaining as I liked everything else, the room was clean and neat too. The IFS mall which is a high end luxury mall is right at the opposite of the hotel, there are also lots of shopping centers around the hotel for souvenirs."
