"I recently had an amazing stay at Telaga Village Resort in Pantai Cenang, Langkawi, and I can confidently say it exceeded my expectations! The location is absolutely perfect—right in the heart of Cenang, just a short walk to the beach, shops, restaurants, and duty-free stores. Everything you need is literally within walking distance, which made the whole trip super convenient and enjoyable. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained with all the basic amenities provided. I really appreciated how cozy and relaxing it felt after a long day of exploring the island. The staff were also very friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. What I loved most was the overall vibe—very lively yet still comfortable for a relaxing stay. "The view from the balcony is absolutely spectacular and definitely the highlight of our stay. The room itself was very neat and tidy, and we appreciated the large TV. However, the facilities look quite old and could use some refurbishment. The corridors also appear worn and are not very inviting. There was a strong smell of food, including durian, when we stepped out of the elevator, which wasn’t pleasant. Another inconvenience was that Block 1 only has one elevator, so we had to walk quite a distance to reach Blocks 3 and 4. The balcony also had sand on the floor and wasn’t as clean as we expected. Overall, the room was comfortable with an amazing view, but the common areas and facilities could be better maintained to enhance the overall guest experience."

"My stay at frangipani was better than what I expected. The resorts location is ideal for island vacation, perfect blend of untouched beach and resorts ecosystem is extraordinary. The staff is very helpful, polite and attentive. I found my room was very clean plus house keeping was to the point. The swimming pools are maintained well. All in all I would say its a perfect place to stay for couples and families. I would come back here again."

"The hotel and room are a bit seasoned but still in an acceptable condition for you to enjoy your lovely holidays at Langawi sandy beach which is right in front of the hotel. There was no parking available at the hotel but you can park your car for free at the near by Langgura Baron hotel which is ab 400 m away. Overall, I would say that the room price with amenities & 2 complimentary breakfast was just the best bargain that you can get."

A small but lovely villa hotel. It's a bit far from Cenang Beach, but they offer a free shuttle service to and from the beach, which is very convenient. The breakfast spread is fantastic, and the floating breakfast is a real highlight – just make sure to book it in advance! Rooms have direct access to the public pool, and the suites even come with private pools. Overall, I'm very satisfied. Five stars!

The hotel is well-maintained, and the breakfast is consistently good! The fishing trip was a lot of fun, caught plenty of fish. However, I'd recommend booking the mangrove tour elsewhere (the hotel's mangrove tour didn't feature any bats). The beach is very clean, but there aren't many small creatures (like hermit crabs...). The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Choosing this hotel for our anniversary was definitely the right decision. All in all, it truly is one of Langkawi's top hotels.

⭐We had an amazing stay at the Rebak Island Resort & Marina in Langkawi. The resort is set on a beautiful private island, offering a peaceful and relaxing escape away from the crowds. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and very clean, with stunning views of the sea and surrounding tropical greenery. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. We especially loved the private beach, large swimming pool, and the regular boat transfers to the main island, which made getting around easy. The island itself is full of wildlife and beautiful nature, making it perfect for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy a tropical paradise. If you’re looking for tranquillity, great service, and a unique island experience, Rebak Island Resort is an excellent choice. We would definitely stay here again.

Very good location - able to check out nearby Cenang Mall and Night markets. Grab was easy to get as well, pickup and drop off was straightforward. Breakfast could be hit or miss - meats were relatively rough, curry and oriental food were good. Facilities were great for families, there is a Kids club, outdoor playground (shaded) and activity room. The only gripe I had with the hotel was cleanliness. There is a musky smell from the pillows and toilet/bath area. True enough, I woke up with an allergic reaction (puffy eyes and face) the first morning I was there. This was quickly resolved by asking for pillow change. However this was still not what I expected from the hotel, given its wonderful reputation.

The hygiene was on par with a domestic guesthouse – not great. Breakfast mainly consisted of flatbreads and various porridges, which I wasn't really used to. The rainforest environment, however, was fantastic, with monkeys, geckos, and all sorts of small animals that the kids loved. After the evening show, some people were exhausted, and if you accidentally took a wrong turn on the way back to your room, you’d have to climb up the hill all over again. On a positive note, the chef at the Western restaurant was incredibly talented, serving the best steak, pasta, and grilled prawns on the entire island – truly amazing!

The staff's attitude was generally good. Turndown service was provided in the evening, and there were welcome fruits. Since it was the Easter holiday, they even specially gifted chocolates shaped like bunnies and Easter eggs, along with a handwritten card which felt very ceremonial! The only area for improvement would be the restaurant's food, as the breakfast selection was quite limited.

Overall, I was very satisfied with the Westin Langkawi. The environment and service were excellent. The breakfast staff remembered our names and preferences every morning, and proactively helped us find a sea-view table by the window. The hotel's ecosystem is great, with many monkeys appearing in the evening. The main pool has an amazing view, and there's a very private adult pool near The St. Regis. The beachfront Tide restaurant has a wonderful ambiance, especially beautiful in the evening, and the staff are very enthusiastic. Sitting in the semi-indoor, semi-outdoor area, enjoying the 'blue hour' and delicious food, was incredibly pleasant, though it did get a bit warm later on. The downsides are that the room facilities are a bit old and the bathroom is small, but it was generally clean and tidy, so it was still acceptable. The hotel design is very good; rooms on both sides of the main building can directly access the breakfast restaurant, and a short flight of stairs leads to the lobby. Stepping outside immediately takes you to the path to the pool. Overall, the stay was satisfying. The hotel's location is convenient, and it's easy to get to Kuah Town for island hopping.

This was our first time checking in, and the reception requested identification (IC) for all guests. The room we booked was for 2 pax, but we had 3 pax. Prior to arrival, we had already called to check whether an extra bed could be added, and we were informed that it was not possible. We accepted this information at that time. However, upon check-in, the receptionist informed us that we had to either pay an additional RM150 per night to stay in the same room, or book another room at an additional RM436 per night. We find these options unreasonable and not customer-friendly. We then requested to speak with the manager. Initially, the manager refused to meet us, but later came out after some time. We explained the situation in full however, the manager continued to insist on the resort’s policies. Eventually, the manager offered a complimentary room upgrade, but we were still required to pay RM150 per night. While we accepted the upgrade as a compromise, we are dissatisfied with how this situation was handled, particularly the lack of flexibility and the initial reluctance to address our concerns directly. In addition, despite not placing any sign requesting room cleaning, housekeeping entered our room without prior notice or permission. This is highly unprofessional and raises serious concerns regarding guest privacy and security.

I was a bit nervous checking in after reading some reviews, but it turned out to be much better than I expected! First off, I really liked the hotel's overall ambiance, especially the infinity pool and public areas – they were great. Here are the cons: 1. The front desk staff are all locals (they don't speak Chinese and weren't particularly friendly to Chinese guests). When I booked, I specifically requested a high floor, but I was assigned the second floor. To move to a higher floor, they wanted an extra 150 MYR per day. I had to get some Ctrip customer service agents to help negotiate, and Ctrip covered part of the cost, so I was moved to the 6th floor! There were very few Chinese guests in the entire hotel, mostly Caucasians and locals. 2. The hotel breakfast was truly awful, practically inedible. Luckily, there are good breakfast spots and drinks near the hotel. 3. The bath towels and bedding were quite poor (which seems to be a common issue in Malaysian hotels). I recommend bringing your own pillowcases, disposable towels, etc. 4. The hotel doesn't have a beach. Here are the pros: Eating in the Kuah town area is much cheaper, offering great value for money. There are also fewer tourists, so if you like peace and quiet, Kuah is the place to choose.
