The room was clean and tidy, the environment was quiet, and the decor was simple and stylish. The service was warm and attentive, making for a great experience.

Highly recommend Jiangye Hotel (Kunming Station North Exit branch)! The location is absolutely fantastic, just a 5-minute walk from Kunming Station, making it incredibly convenient for catching trains. I especially want to praise Ms. L at the front desk. Her service was meticulous, warm, and thoughtful! She proactively helped with my luggage upon arrival and provided a detailed check-in guide, clearly explaining WiFi, laundry room, and delivery addresses. She even shared a thoughtful guide to Kunming's attractions and local food recommendations. She truly thought of everything for the guests. The double-glazed windows in the room were very practical, and the check-out time was also very accommodating. The overall experience was superb. Choosing this hotel makes travel worry-free and reassuring. It's a perfect place to stay when visiting Kunming, and I will definitely choose to stay here again next time!

I had a very pleasant stay at Fengyun Pavilion Hotel . The location is excellent, with convenient access to nearby shops and restaurants. The room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable, making it easy to relax after a long day. The hotel staff were friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with any requests. I especially appreciated that they allowed me to extend my check-out time, which made my departure much more convenient. Overall, it was a comfortable and enjoyable stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a convenient location, large rooms, and excellent customer service.

This is a great hotel, conveniently located just a 4-5 minute walk across from the train station. Public transport is easily accessible, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. The staff are also very welcoming.

This hostel in Kunming offers incredible value for money! The common areas are huge, and the terrace view is absolutely stunning. It's so comfortable to sunbathe during the day and enjoy the breeze at night. The place is cleaned very diligently, and the bedding is fresh and odorless. The staff at the front desk are all super enthusiastic and proactively recommend local snacks and travel routes. As a solo traveler, I felt completely safe and secure here!

My friend highly recommended this place, saying the area is fantastic and super convenient, and the shuttle service was a huge plus. The shuttle service to/from the South High-Speed Rail Station was excellent. Overall, the service was truly impeccable, and there are plenty of great dining options nearby. The hotel is newly renovated, the room is very comfortable, there is a snack street downstairs, it is convenient, the hotel service is very good, and it is also very close to the high-speed rail. Relatively speaking, it is comfortable to stay and the experience is good. You can choose this hotel if you are transiting nearby!

Really pleasant stay at this hotel. The location is very convenient, easy to find and close to many attractions, which made getting around simple and hassle-free. Everything was exactly as advertised, from the room condition to the facilities provided. Overall, a smooth and satisfying experience, and if ever I am to return to Shangril-la, I would definitely consider staying here again.

Despite the convenient location, comfortable beds, and all-important quiet sleep we managed to get, the hotel's communication to arrange our pick up from the train station at night and what turned out to be a self-check-in was just dismal, clearly needing more training to ensure better organisation for future guests. The following constructive advice is to help the hotel improve and for (particularly foreign) guests to note: 1. Ask for guests' phone number and inform the driver well in advance of our arrival, instead of waiting till the very last minute to do so. We reached out to the hotel via WeChat the day before and rightfully received detailed instructions (in Chinese) to find the driver (the pick up service is actually outsourced to a separate company using 3 different vans), but once we found the van, the driver angrily insisted we call the hotel to identify us by confirming our phone number - we were not allowed to board without the hotel's confirmation, which should have been done directly with the driver well in advance of our arrival. 2. This hotel is not manned after hours, let alone 24 hours, so please make it known well beforehand that we will have to check in ourselves if arriving after hours, and provide clear instructions on how to do so instead of communicating them through the phone while guiding us using the security cameras. It is not the guests' responsibility to do your administrative work (to report ourselves to the authorities by scanning the police QR code and filling out our details) at 11 o'clock at night when we have an early morning train to catch the following day. The hotel should allow guests to enter the room as soon as possible upon arrival, not have us wait half an hour while they struggle with what was clearly their first time checking in foreign guests - worse still over the phone - insisting that this be done before we could enter our room. 3. If the hotel truly wants the patronage of foreign guests, they will have to prioritise our convenience and comfort over theirs by actually having someone check us in in-person. Remotely doing so to save costs is as absurd as expecting foreign guests to communicate our details over the phone, sending photos of ourselves, our passport details etc. via WeChat, and then finding our room card and the room by talking to someone over the phone in Chinese. At the very least, these requirements and instructions should be clearly produced and communicated beforehand so that nothing is improvised. We hope the above experience helps improve what is a decent hotel providing good value for money.

Great location, look for the yellow boards and you will find it easily. The room items are little bit used but all is all right and clean. I would not recommend to stay during cold nights - the room doesnt have AC. I was staying in room 207 and i heard all noise from stairs, even just walking and also people in room 206 were awake and screaming whole night so be aware of that.
