3-Star Hotels in Kunming

Our annual Yunnan trip led us to Kunming for two days this year, and I once again meticulously selected this hotel. I was really impressed by the decor. I also loved their emphasis on relaxation, and upon check-in, they even provided essential oil diffusers. I usually like to mix two different oils, and the staff happily accommodated my request. The room was very spacious, and some rooms even had small decorative displays outside their doors. The entire hotel had this lovely dim lighting, creating a fantastic ambiance. The service was incredibly thoughtful; they even helped with laundry and drying, and we received welcome fruit. The smart home system in the room was also very convenient. The hotel's location is perfect, right next to Wanda, close to Congshuilu and Mulan Sheng, and not far from Cuihu Lake, making it easy to catch a taxi. The only minor flaw was that during our extended stay, the cleaning staff seemed a bit rushed and missed a few small things. However, this was a minor issue that didn't detract from the overall experience. I'm already planning to stay here again when I visit Kunming next year.

The room was clean, odor-free, the bathroom had good drainage, and the bed was comfortable. The front desk receptionist was very enthusiastic and upgraded the room. The location is not far from the subway station, and travel is very convenient.

For anyone with kids who has a layover and an early flight the next morning, there's truly no better choice than this hotel! It's fantastic! After collecting your luggage at the airport, just head to building 5 opposite the arrival hall, take the direct elevator to the 2nd floor, and you're there – super convenient. The absolute best part is that you can push the airport luggage cart *all the way to your room door*! You can keep pushing the cart the whole way, with all your luggage and kids on it. It saved so much effort! Our room was also very clean, and the shower had excellent water pressure, making for a really comfortable shower. Traveling with kids and catching a flight usually involves a lot of hassle, but here we could rest comfortably for the night. We had an 8:20 AM international flight the next day. From the hotel lobby, you just take the elevator up one floor to check in directly. The whole process took about 5 minutes! The kids could sleep in a bit longer, and we just woke them up closer to the time. It was truly stress-free!!! If you're traveling with kids, especially for a layover or an early international flight, I highly recommend this place! It's convenient, saves effort, is clean, and so close to the airport. Staying here with kids for a night couldn't be more perfect!

The room facilities are complete, and it's very clean. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel's location is excellent, with a shopping mall right downstairs and close proximity to various attractions. It's highly recommended, and I'd definitely come back again.

**A Home Away from Home in Kunming** Our stay at this homestay in Kunming was truly exceptional. The room was a perfect blend of tradition and modernity, thoughtfully designed with minimalist accessories that perfectly matched our taste. Cozy and inviting, it offered a sense of warmth and comfort that made us feel at home instantly. The view of the lake from our window added a touch of magic to our mornings and evenings. The location is simply ideal. Situated in a peaceful area just 100–200 meters from the Ethnic Yunnan Village Park (also known as the Ethnic Minority Nationalitys Park), it allowed us to easily explore this cultural gem during a day trip, an experience we highly recommend. At the same time, the homestay is surrounded by quiet shops and local markets, making it both convenient and serene. What truly set this place apart was the outstanding hospitality. From the moment we arrived at the airport, the hosts went out of their way to assist us, even arranging a Didi taxi to ensure we reached the homestay smoothly. Their kindness didn’t stop there, they helped us purchase tickets for cultural attractions, found an English-speaking guide when our Mandarin wasn’t sufficient, and took care of countless other details that made our stay effortless. A highlight of our experience was Miss Zhang’s traditional Yunnan tea ceremonies. These sessions were not only a delight for the senses but also a wonderful opportunity to learn about the unique qualities of Yunnan teas and the art of brewing them. The atmosphere was relaxed and intimate, often joined by the owners, which led to lively, hours-long conversations filled with laughter and stories. It was these moments that made us feel like we were among friends rather than guests. We enjoyed our stay so much that we’ve already booked the same room for our return in a week. We can’t wait to be back in this haven of warmth, culture, and comfort. Highly recommended for anyone seeking an authentic, memorable, and heartwarming experience in Kunming!

The hotel is located right on Wengmiao Zhijie Street, and as soon as you step out, you're in the lively market. It's super close to the Paper Cup Building, just a 5-minute walk. If you love shopping and bustling atmospheres, this is the perfect choice – it's quiet despite being in a busy area. They didn't charge us when we lost our room card, and for our group of four families, three families with kids over 1.2 meters got complimentary breakfast. They even gave us a souvenir when we checked out, which was a nice touch.

The room was incredibly comfortable, I'd say I had some of my best sleep in Kunming here. The location is also fantastic; I could just stroll to all the places I wanted to visit, which was incredibly relaxing, convenient, and comfortable. The housekeeping service was exceptional – the room was spotless and cozy every day. The front desk staff were very friendly too, and I was able to store my luggage there so I could explore without worry.

My stay here exceeded expectations. The hotel is conveniently located near the subway station and Kunming Railway Station, both within walking distance, right in the city center with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby – so no worries about finding food or getting around. The room was meticulously cleaned, with no strange odors, and the bathroom had a great wet/dry separation with a consistent supply of hot water. The front desk staff were gentle and patient, handling check-in and check-out efficiently, and always answering any questions thoroughly. The hotel also offers free parking, a self-service laundry room, complimentary luggage storage, and even allows for late check-out upon request, making it incredibly practical for business trips or vacations. The decor is aesthetically pleasing, with charming Yunnan-specific details, creating a quiet and comfortable atmosphere. It offers great value for money. I've already recommended it to friends and will definitely choose this place again on my next visit to Kunming.

Our overall stay exceeded expectations! The hotel was exceptionally clean, the bathroom had no strange odors, and the bed was soft and comfortable. Check-in at the front desk was quick and polite. The surrounding area is very convenient for dining and shopping, and the hotel offers great value for money. It's definitely my top choice for travel.

The hotel's location within the pedestrian street is super convenient, just about 50 meters from where taxis drop you off. The hotel environment is quite nice. I stayed in a ground-floor room with a small courtyard this time, but it rained constantly, so I didn't get to use it much. I'd suggest booking a room on the second floor instead. The automatic curtains broke right after I checked in, but the staff were incredibly nice and even gave me a small gift. My only real complaint is that the cleanliness on the first floor was a bit subpar, with quite dirty floors, and a faint sewer smell occasionally wafted in from outside the window.
