3-Star Hotels in Kunming

Our annual Yunnan trip led us to Kunming for two days this year, and I once again meticulously selected this hotel. I was really impressed by the decor. I also loved their emphasis on relaxation, and upon check-in, they even provided essential oil diffusers. I usually like to mix two different oils, and the staff happily accommodated my request. The room was very spacious, and some rooms even had small decorative displays outside their doors. The entire hotel had this lovely dim lighting, creating a fantastic ambiance. The service was incredibly thoughtful; they even helped with laundry and drying, and we received welcome fruit. The smart home system in the room was also very convenient. The hotel's location is perfect, right next to Wanda, close to Congshuilu and Mulan Sheng, and not far from Cuihu Lake, making it easy to catch a taxi. The only minor flaw was that during our extended stay, the cleaning staff seemed a bit rushed and missed a few small things. However, this was a minor issue that didn't detract from the overall experience. I'm already planning to stay here again when I visit Kunming next year.

The room is very clean, bright and spacious. The facilities are very new, with electric curtains, automatic toilet, and very comfortable pillows, one soft and one hard. The hair conditioner received positive reviews from my sister-in-law, hahaha. There is a clothesline in the shower room, which is convenient. Convenient transportation, very close to the subway station. The service was very good. When checking in, we were given warm chrysanthemum water and hot towels to wipe off the dust from the journey. The breakfast is also good, with a wide variety of Chinese and Western restaurants. I am very satisfied with my stay, and my family members give it high praise. Recommended stay.

I took my mother out for a trip, and the last stop was Kunming. The hotel is in a good location. It costs 12 yuan to take a taxi to Tangzixiang subway station, and then take Line 6 to the airport. I went to Dianchi Lake and took Line 5. The business twin room is very large and the breakfast is very delicious. The hotel is newly renovated and the facilities are very new. I originally planned to stay at the Four Seasons Hotel in Tangzixiang, which has a better location, but in terms of cost performance, this one is much cheaper, and the extra money I spent on the taxi can be ignored

This hotel is located right inside the airport terminal, which is incredibly convenient for travelers with early morning flights or those on an overnight layover. You can walk there directly after your flight, saving the hassle and cost of taxis. The room maintained the consistent quality you'd expect from a Seasons hotel; it was very clean with no strange odors. The bedding was soft and comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent. Even though it's next to the airport, I barely heard any airplane noise at night, allowing for a great night's sleep. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, plenty of hot water, and a full set of toiletries.

Location is king! 👍🏻👍🏻 Green Lake, the old street, Nie'er Square, Yunnan University, and all sorts of amazing coffee shops are all within walking distance… The shower water was incredibly comfortable, and the room was spacious, especially the enclosed wide balcony room, which was almost as big as the main room. The triple room was fantastic, solving the problem of older kids needing separate beds. The shower pressure was also wonderfully comfortable – truly a lucky find! There's no elevator, so guest rooms are on the second floor, but the elderly person in our group found it an easy walk and not an issue. The front desk lady was gentle, kind, and hardworking. When I accidentally didn't close the shower door properly at night and water leaked everywhere, she patiently brought tools and helped us clean it up. The Crossing the Bridge Noodles she recommended were also delicious…

Excellent location with convenient transport links and plenty of dining and shopping options nearby. The room was spacious and bright, spotlessly clean with no strange odors, and the bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. The front desk staff were warm and efficient, room service was prompt, and breakfast offered a wide variety of choices. Overall, incredible value for money, and an outstanding stay. Highly recommended!

This hotel is located in the heart of Kunming, offering an excellent location. It's super convenient for exploring Kunming Old Street and Nanping Walking Street. Transportation is also a breeze, whether you're taking the subway or a taxi. It's close to the 'Paper Building' and Cuihu Lake. The room was clean, tidy, and hygienic. The breakfast rice noodles were delicious, the facilities were complete, and the service was attentive, making for a comfortable and worry-free stay.

**A Home Away from Home in Kunming** Our stay at this homestay in Kunming was truly exceptional. Cozy and inviting, it offered a sense of warmth and comfort that made us feel at home instantly. The view of the lake from our window added a touch of magic to our mornings and evenings. The location is simply ideal. Situated in a peaceful area just 100–200 meters from the Ethnic Yunnan Village Park (also known as the Ethnic Minority Nationalitys Park), it allowed us to easily explore this cultural gem during a day trip, an experience we highly recommend. At the same time, the homestay is surrounded by quiet shops and local markets, making it both convenient and serene. What truly set this place apart was the outstanding hospitality. From the moment we arrived at the airport, the hosts went out of their way to assist us, even arranging a Didi taxi to ensure we reached the homestay smoothly. Their kindness didn’t stop there, they helped us purchase tickets for cultural attractions, found an English-speaking guide when our Mandarin wasn’t sufficient, and took care of countless other details that made our stay effortless. A highlight of our experience was Miss Zhang’s traditional Yunnan tea ceremonies. These sessions were not only a delight for the senses but also a wonderful opportunity to learn about the unique qualities of Yunnan teas and the art of brewing them. The atmosphere was relaxed and intimate, often joined by the owners, which led to lively, hours-long conversations filled with laughter and stories. It was these moments that made us feel like we were among friends rather than guests. We enjoyed our stay so much that we’ve already booked the same room for our return in a week. We can’t wait to be back in this haven of warmth, culture, and comfort. Highly recommended for anyone seeking an authentic, memorable, and heartwarming experience in Kunming!

The first time I visited Kunming in 2003, I stayed at the Jinhua International Hotel. I chose it for its excellent location, convenient transport options for non-drivers, and a wide variety of dining choices nearby. I've stayed here several times since, with my most recent visit being during the COVID-19 outbreak in春节 2020. This time, I noticed a significant improvement in room hygiene and the hardware facilities. Unfortunately, the service from some front desk staff was truly disappointing. They knew that room cards needed to be reset daily after 12 PM but failed to inform guests during check-in. This meant guests had to go up and down multiple times to get it sorted, which is particularly inconvenient since several floors of the building house other offices, requiring a wait for the elevator. During one such instance, I even experienced an elevator malfunction where it went up and down erratically with the doors slightly ajar. As for the TV, only one news channel is free; all others are pay-per-view.
