The self-service laundry and dryer were a lifesaver for dirty clothes on the trip. The lobby's book bar was quiet, a nice spot to relax. The overall atmosphere felt cozy, like being at home, and the facilities were comprehensive and practical. It offered good value for money. Staying here made our trip worry-free and comfortable. XanaDeluxe Hotel Foshan Danzao — A Genuinely Great Stay with One Notable Flaw As someone who spent most of their trip based at the hotel, I can give a pretty thorough take on what it’s actually like to live in this place for a few days. First impressions The lobby sets the tone immediately. It’s clean, well-presented and the staff are genuinely professional. As an English speaker with only basic Mandarin, I was a little nervous about communication, but the front desk team went above and beyond with translation and made me feel completely at ease. That kind of hospitality is hard to fake. The Room My room was impressively clean overall. The only thing I’d flag is the carpet, which felt like it could use a deeper steam clean. Nothing alarming, and perfectly fine with slippers, but worth mentioning. The air conditioning though? Absolutely elite. Strong, reliable and a lifesaver. Facilities The fifth floor amenities are a real highlight. The gym has brand new equipment, fresh towels and complimentary water ready to go. I spent some solid time on the cardio machines and had zero complaints. The laundry room is also genuinely impressive — four washers, four dryers, plenty of seating, steamers and a dedicated ironing area. Very thoughtfully set up. Food The hotel has several dining options on-site. I tried the dim sum and it was solid. Good variety, good quality and a nice atmosphere. The One Thing That Needs Work Wi-Fi. For younger travellers especially, reliable internet is non-negotiable. Whether it was for remote work or just streaming, the speeds were consistently disappointing. Upload and download were both underwhelming. My cellular signal wasn’t great either, but I’d expect the hotel Wi-Fi to compensate for that, not add to the frustration. Final Verdict This is a hotel that genuinely nails the hospitality side of things. It’s clean, the staff are warm and professional, and the facilities are well above average. Sort out the Wi-Fi and this is easily a five-star experience across the board. I’d absolutely come back next time I’m in Danzao.

Environment: Parking is convenient, and the hotel's location is pretty good, very close to Wangfujing Innovation Park (Gongfu Night Market). Service: Satisfactory. There was plenty of drinking water in the room, highly recommend. The front desk even provided a large umbrella to shield us from the rain when it was pouring.

The room decor was really old-fashioned. I booked an executive king room, but the amenities were exactly the same as a deluxe king, which didn't match the photos online. There was a musty smell when I first entered the room. The staff later moved me to another room, but it seemed like they had just sprayed air freshener, as the scent was quite strong. Also, the advertised Kung Fu tea set was missing. Overall, it was a very poor experience.

The room was very spacious, and the twin bed layout felt uncrowded. The blackout curtains by the floor-to-ceiling window worked wonderfully. The配套设施书桌, chair, wardrobe, and mini-fridge were all available. There was plenty of space for luggage, and the lighting was soft and not harsh, making for a very comfortable night's rest. 🛁 Bathroom: Marble-textured, dry/wet separation – super convenient. The bathroom was a definite highlight. The full marble tile renovation gave it a visually upscale feel. The hotel is situated in the core area of Daliang. It's an 8-minute walk to Jinbang Street and Beidi Temple, where you can try Huanji Milk and local snacks. Right downstairs at the entrance is a long-standing bamboo noodle shop, and the hotel's second floor features a dim sum Chinese restaurant. You can enjoy authentic Cantonese dim sum in the morning without having to go far. Whether you're visiting Qinghui Garden and Huagai Road during the day or going out for a late-night snack, getting around is incredibly easy. ✨ Extra Bonus Details: 1. Excellent soundproofing in the room; corridor and outdoor noise were almost imperceptible, ensuring an undisturbed rest. 2. Complete facilities, stable TV and WiFi signals, ample charging outlets, and a landline phone on the bedside table. 3. The hotel service was gentle and courteous, and check-in was efficient. 4. Great value for money; the room was spacious, and hygiene standards were high. It's definitely a top choice for a short trip to Shunde. I took my child out for Children's Day. Facilities: To be honest, the play facilities are a bit old, but there are many food options inside, and the prices are cheaper than X-Long. We chose the stargazing room, and my child loved it, but I hope the cleanliness can be improved. Some hidden corners weren't cleaned properly, and there was a lot of dust in the room. The hotel package included access to the amusement park, but many facilities required additional payment, which felt a bit like a rip-off. What I did enjoy was the swimming and hot springs. It feels like Changlu really wants to be a resort, but perhaps due to the current economic downturn, it hasn't been able to maintain itself well. Overall, it was still an enjoyable trip. I hope Changlu improves!
