Tachuan's autumn was made even more beautiful by this guesthouse. I searched on Ctrip for a long time, worried about hygiene issues, but this guesthouse really paid attention to details and was very clean. The moment I opened the door, the automatic welcoming ceremony from 'Xiao Ai' (smart speaker) was very touching. It's right at the entrance of Hongcun and the price is excellent value for money. The proprietress is very kind, and the young man who checked me in, Manager Xiao Wang, was extremely helpful with excellent service. From picking me up at the station to helping me find a car for my travels, he saved me the anxiety and exhaustion of not having a car in Hongcun. The prices were also reasonable. Anyone worried about drivers getting upset in Hongcun can completely entrust their needs to him. At the village entrance, he even used a small electric cart to help with my luggage. There are Hello e-bikes nearby, so you can go to Lucun early in the morning to watch the sunrise. Thank you for providing such a 'utopia' after my busy work. The hygiene was indeed top-notch!

Our family stayed in a B&B in the mountains. The room is very big, and when you look out the window, you can see the mountains in the distance. In the room, we can watch the sunrise, pick fruits, feed the lambs, barbecue, play cards, sing, and even take a bath in the yard. The two of us walked and chatted in the courtyard, as if we had walked into a painting. There is no light pollution in the night sky and the stars are particularly bright. The next morning, we woke up to the sound of birds chirping, had breakfast, and looked at the beautiful scenery outside the window, which felt very comfortable. This kind of life makes me feel very relaxed and happy. If I have the chance, I would like to bring some friends to stay for a few days.

Highly recommended B&B! The location is wonderfully secluded, and the rooms are cozy and tastefully decorated in a Japanese style. The courtyard is very thoughtfully designed; every photo you take turns out beautifully. Most of the staff are *******, and they are incredibly warm and welcoming. Having just returned from a trip to Tibet this year, I felt an instant connection 🥰. I especially have to mention the B&B's dinner. We originally planned to eat in Hongcun but couldn't find a restaurant we liked, so we decided to head back to the B&B (they even offer shuttle service to Hongcun!). We pre-ordered our meal with the manager, so it was ready when we got back. We ordered stinky mandarin fish, free-range chicken soup, and stir-fried eggs with stone ear fungus. Every dish was made with super fresh ingredients and tasted absolutely amazing, especially the chicken soup. It was definitely made with free-range chicken, something you just can't find in Shanghai – so delicious! The portions were generous too; we couldn't finish it all. The manager even suggested saving the rest for chicken noodle soup the next morning. Wow, such thoughtful service! They also gave us a parting gift when we left. I love the atmosphere here and every single staff member. If you're coming to Tachuan, choose to stay here – you definitely won't regret it!

I stayed in Hongcun for three nights, and the experience far exceeded my expectations. It's a typical Hui-style old house renovation, preserving the wooden courtyard and carved windows; staying there felt like stepping back in time. The rooms were quiet and comfortable, and the bedding and toiletries were carefully selected. What touched me most was the butler's service—they picked me up at the village entrance, helped with my luggage, and prepared hot tea for me every time I returned home—it felt like coming home. I'll definitely stay here again next time.

Zhang Mansion is much more than just a hotel: it is an authentic experience inside an ancient traditional mansion, perfectly immersed in the historic atmosphere of Hongcun. It almost feels like being transported back in time, into the quiet and refined beauty of China from several centuries ago. The interiors are full of charm, history, and character, and staying here allows you to experience the village in a much deeper way than a simple day visit. The atmosphere is calm, evocative, and almost cinematic. A very sweet detail: the property’s cat and dog are genuinely lovely and add an even warmer, more memorable touch to the experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an authentic, romantic, and timeless stay.

The room was very clean and tidy. It's a comfortable little courtyard located inside Hongcun, which was very convenient. The owner even arranged for an electric sightseeing cart to pick us up and drop us off, so we didn't have to worry about carrying our luggage. The common areas were beautifully designed and great for photos. It's also a short walk from the courtyard to Moon Pond, so the location is excellent.

Really I want to give this homestay a big praise! ! The environment is so good. The new decoration is different. Whether it is the house outside the house, I feel the house of the landscape. The scenery is good. It is very good to sit in the yard and chat and drink tea. The room is cleaned and there is no water stains and dust. In short, it is very good.

Hidden in the tranquil corner of Tachuan Ancient Village, the guesthouse boasts a quiet and elegant Hui-style courtyard. Opening the window reveals layers of white walls and black tiles against a backdrop of lush green mountains (especially picturesque in autumn with vibrant red leaves), and the evening breeze carries the fresh scent of nature. The rooms are impeccably clean and tidy, with complete and thoughtful amenities. The bedding is so soft it ensures a good night's sleep, the Wi-Fi coverage throughout the building is incredibly smooth, and parking is exceptionally convenient. The service is the biggest surprise! The receptionist was warm and attentive, responding instantly to any needs, making you feel right at home. The guesthouse's location is superb; you can walk to the heart of the Tachuan scenic area, and there are cafes and restaurants nearby, making it easy to find food and activities. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in Tachuan!

Good stay except for one small issue that should have been addressed better. The room I stayed in had faulty electrical connections so many light switches were mixed up and the bathroom shower light did not turn on. We had to shower in the dark. I raised the issue to a worker and she accused me of not knowing how to use light switches. She further complained to me about another customer who raised similar issues to her. It was very unprofessional. Later that day, a different worker came to the room to look at the problem and confirmed that the switches didn’t work, and he said there is no way to fix it. They did not offer anything to resolve the issue. I will not stay here again.

Facilities: Our family stayed in three rooms, all with underfloor heating. However, when there were a lot of people, one room's heating was unstable. The housekeeper did his best to help resolve the issue late at night. Cleanliness: The house is a bit old, but the cleaning was good. The kitchen was also quite clean. Environment: Located in the Mukeng Bamboo Sea Scenic Area, the environment is excellent and the air is fresh. Service: The hostess was very welcoming and upgraded us to a family room. The room was excellent. The housekeeper was also very helpful. New drivers should be cautious when entering the hotel, as the roads are narrow enough for one car only.
