Guest UserOn a whim, I came to Changsha and chose the top-ranked hotel on Trip.com. The service was absolutely fantastic, I really don't understand how anyone could write a negative review. The staff were so warm and attentive. The breakfast and supper options were incredibly fresh, you can tell they put a lot of thought into it. We stayed for two nights and got to enjoy different dishes each day, which was a real treat. With two kids, we spent almost all our time at the hotel. Changsha was just too hot, so we could only go out in the evenings. Coming back to the hotel for supper after exploring was great, and it was really good value for money – they even prepared three servings for both breakfast and supper for us!
Suggestion: The owner should consider getting a shuttle bus. There's a bit of a distance between the metro station and the hotel, which would also make it easier for the concierge to help with luggage.

Guest UserThis entire hotel is nestled within a complete Jiangnan-style garden, featuring white walls and black tiles, quaint bridges and flowing streams, and beautifully arranged pavilions and terraces. Strolling through the courtyard, every step reveals a new picturesque scene. It's quiet, elegant, and absolutely perfect for photos. It’s truly healing to find such tranquility amidst the bustle.
The biggest surprise was the all-inclusive gourmet meals – incredibly satisfying from morning till night! Breakfast offers a rich variety, including Chinese pastries, freshly cooked noodles, Western baked goods, and fresh fruits. Dining by the garden creates an amazing ambiance. The afternoon tea is exquisite and not overly sweet, with Chinese pastries paired with clear tea, making for a wonderfully relaxing break with the courtyard breeze. Late at night, there are comforting supper options like sweet soups and snacks to warm your stomach and relieve fatigue, so you can still enjoy a hot meal even if you return late.
The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the service is attentive and meticulous. Both the environment and the food are top-notch. It’s a one-stop, worry-free stay. I’ll definitely choose this place for my next vacation. Highly recommended!

The service was excellent. Before we even checked in, the hotel created a service group chat and contacted us daily to arrange room cleaning and afternoon tea. The mini-bar was also restocked with drinks and jellies that the kids loved. The environment is wonderful, full of historical charm everywhere you look. The rooms, after renovation, are very comfortable. Right outside, there's a bustling night market, but the hotel's location is perfect – a quiet oasis in the midst of the lively area, so our room was very peaceful for resting. Breakfast is a semi-buffet with a set menu plus self-service options. The kids really enjoyed the pan-fried beef short ribs, and the adults can choose the very flavorful dry-mixed rice noodles.

My recent two-night stay at The Jewel Hidden Valley was nothing short of wonderful. Nestled away from the hustle and bustle of the city, this serene and culturally rich retreat provided the perfect escape. From the moment we arrived, the warm hospitality of the staff made us feel right at home.
A special mention goes to ”Julie” and ”Zhang Kai Yi” (if I remember correctly), who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. Despite the rain, they selflessly helped us with our luggage all the way to our villa—a gesture that truly touched us. Zhang even took the time to personally walk us to the Tong Guan Kiln, which was about 8 minutes away, sharing interesting insights along the way. Their kindness and attentiveness were truly impressive.
The hotel’s design and layout are stunning, blending seamlessly with the natural surroundings while maintaining a luxurious feel. Our villa was spacious, well-appointed, and immaculately clean, with high-quality amenities and toiletries that added to the comfort.
Breakfast was another highlight—the spread was extensive, offering a variety of delicious options that catered to different tastes. Every dish was fresh and flavorful, making it a great start to our days.
Overall, The Jewel Hidden Valley exceeded my expectations in every way. The peaceful ambiance, outstanding service, and attention to detail make it a hidden gem worth revisiting. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a quiet, culturally immersive getaway!

Guest UserThe room was spacious and clean, located right at the confluence of the Liuyang and Xiang Rivers, offering unbeatable views. Huge thanks to Sera for the thoughtful arrangements, I was super satisfied! The surrounding area is part of the vast Beichen development, with plenty of shops and restaurants, giving it a lively, local vibe.
The hotel's location is ideal, just a 1-2 minute walk from Changsha Museum, the Concert Hall, and the Library, and a 5-minute walk to the Three Halls and One Theater pier.
Excellent location.
The river view room offered first-class scenery, and breakfast was incredibly rich. Plus, there's a strong 'old money' feel to the place, making it perfect for travel photography.
I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next trip to Changsha.

MingxijiezoufaWhile Ctrip's perfect score is 5, honestly, my stay at Changsha W this time was far beyond a 5. I truly had a fantastic time, with not a single uncomfortable moment from start to finish.
The day before check-in, the hotel proactively called me, asking precisely what time I'd arrive and if I had any additional requests they could help with. They readily agreed to everything they could accommodate. This pre-arrival communication was a huge plus, making me feel valued.
Upon arrival, the concierge at the entrance was incredibly enthusiastic, guiding me and helping with my luggage very thoughtfully. At the front desk, as I was checking in alone, I needed to provide a handwritten authorization letter from my parents. This meant a slight delay in preparing the documents. I was initially just waiting somewhat bored, but the front desk attendant was excellent at conversation. She proactively chatted with me throughout, speaking in a warm and friendly tone, completely preventing the wait from becoming awkward or tedious. Her efficiency was also top-notch, without any delays or perfunctory service.
It wasn't just the front desk and concierge; later, I also encountered the housekeeping aunties, who were incredibly friendly. They would greet me proactively when passing by. The staff's overall service awareness was excellent; they treated everyone with genuine sincerity, without any cold or dismissive attitudes.
The first impression upon entering the room was how exceptionally clean it was. Every corner was meticulously tidied. The floors, bathroom, and soft furnishings were all spotless. There were no strange odors like stuffiness or smoke in the room. The ventilation and hygiene were absolutely impeccable, making for a reassuring and comfortable stay.
The entire check-in process was a fantastic experience. From the pre-arrival communication and on-site reception to the room environment and staff attitudes, everything was flawless. I was extremely satisfied with my stay during this trip to Changsha. Next time I visit Changsha, I will definitely prioritize choosing this W hotel again!
Also, I'd like to mention that Mia, Teddy, and Miss Liu were very enthusiastic towards me throughout my stay, especially Mia. I look forward to seeing you all again.

Guest UserThis hotel boasts excellent decor and service. From the moment I checked in, I experienced truly attentive hospitality. It's an absolute gem of a hotel! The high-altitude views are breathtaking, with the front desk located on the 39th floor and guest rooms even higher. The hotel also features charming, retro-style entrance doors. Both the hardware and software are top-notch. Breakfast is fantastic, offering a wide variety of delicious options, including freshly made 'maizi fen' noodles. The location is super convenient, very close to the city center, and there's a direct subway line to the high-speed train station. The facilities are comprehensive and well-maintained. Every staff member has a smile, and the concierge proactively assists with luggage. The location is superb – if you're visiting Changsha, this is a must-book!

Guest UserThe overall stay experience at The Westin Changsha was decent. The hotel, formerly Kempinski, had an earlier opening date listed on Ctrip, but staff informed me it completed a renovation last year. The room environment feels brand new, without the old or stuffy feeling. Its location is excellent, close to Wuyi Square, making it convenient for getting around and shopping.
Service generally met five-star hotel standards, with staff being warm and attentive, and issues handled efficiently and promptly. The hotel breakfast was decent; the local rice noodles were a standout – authentic and excellent in taste, and there was a rich variety of fruits and a complete selection of cheeses. The only minor drawback was the limited variety of hot dishes.
During this stay, I noticed significant shortcomings in the hotel's hygiene details, indicating considerable room for improvement. Upon checking in, I found stains on the room slippers, and the handheld showerhead was continuously leaking at the connection to the pipe. This suggests that the cleaning staff's final inspection was not thorough, and minor equipment issues were not identified and rectified beforehand.
After discovering these issues, I immediately reported them to the housekeeping department. The hotel's response was very proactive; they promptly replaced the slippers with new ones, and the duty manager, Kagura, personally apologized and quickly had the equipment fixed. While the after-sales service was efficient and sincere, it also highlighted a lapse in the hotel's routine room inspections and hygiene management. This not only affected the quality of the stay but also increased subsequent rectification costs. I recommend the hotel strengthen daily oversight and detailed checks to further enhance the guest experience.

Guest UserThis summer, I chose this hotel again for my trip to Changsha, having stayed here before and had a good experience! However, they've added a very thick mattress topper, so you can't feel the support of the actual mattress, and the duvet cover is stiff, making a loud noise every time you turn over. I booked an executive room for two nights. My child loves the little cakes at the lounge's afternoon tea.
The main reason for the bad review is the unfriendly female staff in the lounge. What was most frustrating was that my child wanted a small cake, and we arrived a bit early. I asked if they could give my child one small cake. They said the fresh ones weren't ready. We waited for a long time, from 1 PM until 2:10 PM, and asked three times, but they just kept saying they weren't ready. Not a single staff member bothered to check the kitchen for cakes or offer a solution; they just repeated that the fresh ones weren't ready. We were the only table seated in the lounge at the time, and the staff weren't busy at all! I find it hard to believe that a Marriott five-star luxury hotel kitchen couldn't produce a single small cake for a child after waiting for over an hour!
They were just sticking to the exact time. When I checked out and complained to them, the cakes immediately appeared, just as we were leaving. What's the point of offering them then, and even giving extra goodies to my child? We waited at the hotel for over an hour and asked the staff three times, only to be told the cakes weren't ready! What's the use of offering them after we've already left? We didn't choose to stay at Marriott for freebies! They just refused to bring out the small cakes until the exact time!
I will never book this Marriott hotel again! The ladies who worked here before were very kind to children. Now, they even skimp on the welcome fruit!
