The hotel has a modern, simplistic touch to it. It's calm and welcoming. I'd like to suggest that they add a teaspoon bt the cups and smaller face clothes... Please change the liquid handsoap. It does not smell good at all. I loved loved loved the shower. I'd definitely recommend the hotel for a short stay. Good price too, worth the price.

The location of this homestay is just across an alley on the main road of Shantang Street, which is quiet in the residential area, and has a real Suzhou well-like style. Before coming, I called the boss in advance and recommended that we parked in the parking lot of Shantang Street West District and walked a little bit. Very clean bed and breakfast. This is the first time that the hotel has smelled the sun on the bedding. It smells exactly the same as the quilt after we added Dettol to the house and dried it in the sun. I have a slight cleanliness addiction. Even the bedding in a five-star hotel is not very reassuring, but I slept very soundly after smelling the smell of sunlight. The small courtyard is also very beautiful, and the children like it very much. From here, walking along Shantang Street to Huqiu is only two kilometers, much faster than taking a bus or a taxi, and the scenery along the way is also good. The disadvantage is that it is difficult to find a small alley, especially the house number can not be seen along the road at night. Then if it's late, ask the uncle to open the door a little bit harder. So if you want to check in, it may be more convenient to arrive a little earlier and then go out to play. The hotel is on the middle of a lively touristic district, in an old building with modern level of comfort. There is a tea house on the first floor, the rooms are on the second floor, you cab go outside on the balcony that fronts the canal. It is a bar street, so it can be loud (understandably), but on the weekend music stops at midnight, on the work day - even earlier, it was quiet around 10 pm. The service was exceptional! Several days before my journey hotel sent me friends request on the wechat and helped with my questions. There was a sudden temperature drop that really bothered me and lady that works in the hotel offered me a second blanket and even a radiator💞 I slept as a baby and enjoyed a nice morning drinking tea with the perfect view💞 10 out of 10 experience!

Located right in the middle of Shantang street which is a main tourist attraction, hotel entrance was easy to find as well. Room was quiet even though it’s right by the tourist street. Accessible via metro, but will need to walk about less than 10 minutes through a pebbled stone street - will recommend to reach slightly earlier in the day, as the street can get VERY crowded at night especially on weekends/peak periods, which will make it challenging to navigate with luggage.
