It was close to shopping and the Riverwalk.

The hotel is in a great location.
The air conditioner in the room blows directly on the head of the bed. I would request a different room, if I stayed there again.
The staff and lady at the check in desk were great.

Housekeeping was inconsistent. One day our room was never cleaned up/remade. Another day everything was cleaned up but beds were not made. Another only one bed was made but second bed was not
Finally, one day housekeeping knocked on the door and wife can you come back. The woman said nothing, gave my wife a bad look and walked away

Nice hotel, very conveniently located in downtown area. Restaurant in the hotel is a bit limited, but the food was good.

Clean and neat. Good and large parking at the front of the hotel. The beds were comfortable. Own bus service that takes you where you want within 2 miles. Half an hour to walk to Amelia Arena for NHL game. Safe area.

Room was clean. Staff was pleasant. However, we did not have hot water at all one morning and water was lukewarm the other morning. Our in-room coffee maker was not functioning. These matters were reported.

Only two minuses. The design of the sink made it difficult not to splash water onto the marble countertop by the faucet. It was nearly impossible to adjust shower water temperature accurately. It tended to be either hot or cold, and the middle positions of the valve had little effect on the temperature of the water.
On the positive side, the room was clean, quiet, and totally comfortable. Great matress. Perfect location for events at the Straz Center. Free morning coffee at the restaurant was a great perk. Good breakfasts too.

I’m sure this place was very nice at one point but it is showing its age. They have attempted to put lipstick on a pig but didn’t do a great job.

Went to see a show at the Straz and chose the Barrymore to stay overnight. An excellent choice for me. Pleasant , quiet room. A nice little happy hour from 5-6. Excellent front desk staff. Overall 5 stars.
