Hotel Villa Laguna

The hotel is very close to the Lodo port. But since it is too close, the house will shake when the boat hits the levee. Room amenities are a little dated, Even though it's a non-smoking room, I can still smell some smoke. All the staff are very friendly. They can prepare a takeaway breakfast if you leave the hotel before breakfast time.

From booking this trip direct via the hotel website ( best prices guaranteed ) the whole experience has been outstanding. Nothing has been too much trouble from booking private transfers to & from the hotel, also private trips from from the hotels private dock with you own water taxi which is like a limousine on water, they take you wherever you want to go, drop you off and pick you up 3 hours later ( your choice ) then drop you back off at the hotel. We stayed in a suite with a balcony and a lagoon view which had the best sunset on the Lido. A big shout out to Marta & Nicolo absolute legends who organised all of our trips, even rearranging our private transfer from the airport when we missed our connecting flight.

We had a balcony suite - 104 (good views) The hotel was very friendly and the suites well prepared and equipped. The hotel is extremely well positioned for the water taxi station and for a wide range of restaurants and shops/ cafes. I would recommend this hotel and to stay on Lido if you are visiting Venice. It’s also about 1 mile to a wide sandy public beach if you like a bit of both beach and city break. The shower wasn’t perfect (shower curtain over a plain glass window so you had to be careful when showering). Also we had a super king bed rather than 2 singles - we came away as friends, one sometimes sleeping on the couch! The air con rattled and didn’t always work but it is an old hotel. The breakfast was superb but the evening menu quite expensive and limited so we chose to eat out after the first evening.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and made our experience superb! The restaurant is highly recommended with one of the best continental breakfasts we’ve ever seen! The pillows were our only complaint because they’re flat, old and need replacing. Even still, we’ll be back, guaranteed.

Friendly, professional staff who are happy to help and arrange everything for you. Parking spaces available. Rich breakfast with an amazing view to San Marco.

The Villa Laguna hotel is ideally located on Lido island near the vaporetto station. Fantastic view on the laguna and Venice. The small appar**ents (bedroom + room) are ok but the decoration is a bit dated and the floors really need updating. We had a very pleasant stay.

Friendly hotel on the ‘seaside’ island of Venice, Lido Villa Laguna has a great spot on Lido, right next to the ferry stop and with lovely views over the lagoon towards Venice. We stayed in a suite which consisted of two small rooms connected by a short passageway. The best part about the room was the direct views towards Venice. The style is a bit dated and the aircon never seemed to get the room cold enough but the beds were comfortable and everything worked. The room worked well for us and our two young children for our 3 night stay. The hotel reception is super friendly and the breakfast is great with plenty of choice and that great view towards Venice. We loved the more laid back and less busy vibe on Lido along with the nice beaches, plenty of restaurants and ice cream parlours. Getting into Venice was easy too with ferry’s taking between 15-25 mins to get to St Marco’s square depending on what line you take (download the CheBateo? App and just put in your starting point and end point to get live update on the ferry boats, which run about every 12 minutes). A 24hr boat pass was €25, €35 for 48hrs and €45 for 72 hours unlimited travel. Overall a lovely hotel and really great stay,
