Hotels near Castle Park in Vernon Hills

Decided to stay here last minute rather than risk violating Chicago’s curfew (9:00 p.m.). Reviewed their website before booking and was impressed by their protocol for addressing cleaning COVID-19 issues — touchless check in, etc. I booked online but directly with IHG (not through a third-party) and payed full price. Wearing a face covering, I at the property and found that none of the claims on their website re: COVID-19 protocols were true. No touchless checkin. Two women were working the small reception area — neither one wore a mask. And, although they had my information from my reservation / booking, they required me to fill out two forms while they were some two to three feet away. It was after 11:00 p.m. and searching another hotel at that hour presented other risks. So, I stayed — hoping for the best. Didn’t notice a single precaution in the room. I could go on but you get the point. As I walked into the lobby to check out the next morning (again, wearing a mask), I asked the woman working at reception what their policy was re: face coverings. She looked at and me and assured me that, yes, they were face coverings — as she pulled one from her face and put it on. NOTE: I am not writing this review to be critical of the individuals I encountered working at the property. They are trying to get by like everyone else. The problem here is that the policies advertised on the website either don’t exist or aren’t properly implemented / enforced.

We have stayed here twice now as it is the closest hotel to our family that gives us the option to have a separate living room and bedroom. It is a little dated, but clean and comfortable. Things like the bathroom vanity and kitchenette counter are updated. Comfortable bed. Great water pressure in the shower. Pool seemed warm enough to try even in the winter but we didn’t have time. Check in is easy on the app and we use the digital keys making quick check in/out. We were easily able to get extra cups and towels at the front desk. Considering there isn’t daily maid service there could be more tea and trash bags provided in the room, but we brought our own so I didn’t bother asking for more. Plenty of stores and food in the area. This will continue to be our home base when we are visiting family in the area.

Four Points in Buffalo Grove was a nice cosy hotel that we stayed in for 5 nights. It is a business hotel with complimentary breakfast and a bar which opens in the evening. The staff there Nancy Heather and others were very helpful and prompt when I needed print outs or supplies. There is an Indian restaurant just walking distance away which was a blessing. The room was good with tea maker and mini fridge which was a blessing as we got food packed on most of the days. The beds were very comfortable. The location is also good with supermarkets, restaurants and pharmacies nearby.

A typical leisure resort hotel, located in the suburbs, next to the golf course, tree-lined, many foreigners hold engagement ceremonies, weddings, party parties, weddings that meet elite Indians, wonderful, National Day holiday and It’s really good to have a synchronized flower garden in Washington and New York. The atmosphere and cooking of the restaurant are superb, the key is the price, the price is very affordable, great.

We experienced and issue with our room and the staff was extremely quick to take care of the issue, move us immediately, follow up with us and even checked in with us after our stay. They went above and beyond, which is rare these days. Would be happy to stay again. Double queen bedroom suite was spacious.

Overall feeling good

I was greeted by Leo and Jared these two men went out of their way to make sure we had the best stay while we were there. Room were clean anything we needed and asked for was given to us right away. Tables were full for breakfast one morning. I believe the manager directed us to another room so we would be comfortable having our breakfast. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel. If I am ever in the area I will be back!
