*Facilities are absolutely wonderful. The negative reviews from a few years ago are outdated* This place is a beautiful HISTORIC property. Was like stepping back in time. My room was delightful, the grounds interesting and the pool an oasis. The bar, breakfast lounge and observation deck were very nice too. The staff were so attentive. The homes history is fascinating and many relics of the Civil War Era remain.

This is a beautiful mansion filled with a rich history. The owner and staff were extremely hospitable. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent and you get a short tour after it. They will be opening more rooms soon. If the weather was nice, you could walk to downtown.

Came to Vicksburg for a weekend getaway and Cedar Grove did not disappoint. The mansion is currently going through a remodel but is more than accommodating for guests and events. The staff including the owners were excellent hosts. A mansion tour is offered and provides a true account of what was happening at the time of the civil war and battle of Vicksburg. Highly recommend!! We will be back. Oh yeah. Don’t forget to look for the cannonballs.

This Inn was a history lesson in itself! Great people run this place. Super friendly and very helpful too. I would stay there again when we go back.

Beautiful b&b with very friendly staff. They changed us to the pool cabana room (I think because we had our pup with us and had tiled floors) and it was very comfy. The only thing I would add is a mini fridge but otherwise perfect! Don’t miss the rooftop deck! We will definitely be back!

Amazing historical location. Decor is beautiful and matches history of the property. Staff were all accommodating and friendly going above and beyond to make our stay nice. Would definitely stay again.

The pictures are VERY misleading. The first picture for the room we picked out was NOT the right picture for the room. My husband was VERY upset. The room we did get wasn’t very nice. When we got there I called SEVERAL times for help but no one answered. I would not recommend staying here since the listings are misleading and the service is absolutely horrible.

We had THE BEST experience here for our Mother's Day getaway!!! The home, the grounds, and the pool are grand, opulent, and immaculately clean. The staff and the owners were so kind and friendly, too. A tour of the home is included. Breakfast is included on weekends. The owner cooked breakfast for us and served us herself in the big fancy dining room. The bar is open and the drinks were very good. We enjoyed sipping mint juleps and rocking on the front porch in the late afternoon. There is another large gallery upstairs on the front and the back where you can do the same thing, as well as a rooftop sitting area with a view of the Mississippi River. The rooms were cool and comfortable....oh that huge half tester steamboat of a bed piled high with pillows! We had a coffee maker in our room and I can imagine having coffee on that upstairs gallery that was just outside our room....especially on a rainy morning. The bathroom looked newly remodeled with a double shower and plenty of counter space. There was a magnifying mirror AND a makeup mirror in addition to the large mirror on the wall. We had a large flat-screen Amazon Fire TV that my grandson enjoyed playing games on. It's in a quiet neighborhood with antebellum homes and brick streets which would've made for a nice walk if we would've had time. There's a huge flea market nearby and it's close to historic downtown museums and restaurants so there's soooo much to do there, especially if you factor in the battlefield. We chose this house because it is filled with period authentic antiques, even in the bedrooms, and you can dine communally in the grand old dining room for breakfast on the weekends. It felt like going back in time, like it was our house. It was such a fun experience! We will definately be back!

We stopped here for an overnight as we were traveling home after Thanksgiving with family. What an ideal place to stay along I-20! Our adjoining rooms were beautiful, clean, comfortable, and historic, the bathrooms were clean and recently updated, drinks at the bar and breakfast the next morning were nicely prepared. The staff could not have been more friendly or more accommodating. They were especially kind to our children and our puppy, who had the best time exploring the lovely and expansive backyard. We admire the new owners for their work to update this historic mansion and appreciated the opportunity to introduce our children to an important part of American history up close! What a charming town Vicksburg is, too. We read the wonderful September 2023 Southern Living article in advance of our stay. We look forward to returning one day!
