Swiss Lodge Hotel Bernerhof

On a recent walk in Wengen my friend was suffering from fatigue and dehydration after a challenging walk in the heat. The restaurant kitchen was closed and the establishment was close to completing their lunchtime service. Despite that when informed of our predicament two male members of staff quickly provided liquid refreshments a carafe of water and a basket of bread and butter. This was perfect for my friend who recovered rapidly. I think this act of kindness and concern deserves praise and recognition. It speaks highly of the culture in the Bernerhof if staff will recognise and act to support a stranger in need. I thank them again.
Arenas Resort Victoria-Lauberhorn

Our room was opposite the lift, room 208 but we're fine it as not many human traffic movements heard during our stay. Thanks to the hotel arrangement for the room facing the mountains and it was phenomenal and picturesque. Memorable! One thing to note that the door at the balcony was a bit at the loose end, that you have to push really hard to lock it. It was super chilly in the evening, sometimes the warmer works but sometimes it doesn't, in the event if the temperature outside drop to below -10°, the room will be super cold and you have to rely on the blankets to keep you warm instead. Overall, the room, free WIFI, breakfast and public facilities did meet our expectation. The wellness area on the other hand, is a bit over-crowded in the evening and there were no signs of free towel anywhere. I'd figure out myself that the towels are available in each of the compartment in the wellness area as long as there are no other belongings from guests. There's a small playground right in front of the hotel, had some fun with my kid playing snow and slide.

Separately booked, and then commented, the hotel in the whole area of Wenggen is a wooden house. It is still convenient to go from the snowy mountains on Wenggen. A small village halfway up the mountain with a quiet and beautiful environment is a good place to relax.
Historic Hotel Falken

We enjoyed our stay at the Falken. It is a traditional Swiss hotel, with tons of historical character in a location convenient for the trains and cable cars of Wengen. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout our visit, the hotel is clean and set in a beautiful alpine location. We enjoyed full board, which was ideal for us as we were day hiking. We didn’t sample lunch. The bar and coffees were a bit too pricey for us, but above average for Switzerland (I think!) The evening meals were varied and tasty, with choices for the evening meal made at breakfast - which suited us. Our 13 year old enjoyed the pancakes at breakfast, which was continental, not cooked. Falken is a busy hotel, which we liked, because we got to meet other guests at mealtimes and discuss our holidays. There are lounge areas if a more quiet time is what you need. We liked it, and would certainly use it again.
Hotel Regina

The breakfast is not a buffet, but it is very rich. The service attitude of the staff is very good. The room is very clean and the scenery outside the window is also very good. It is very close to the train station, about two minutes' walk away, very convenient
Hotel and Spa Silberhorn
4.4/549 Reviews
My husband and I stayed here for the first leg of our honeymoon. The hotel was a little outside our price range, but we decided to treat ourselves, and we were not disappointed! Our room had a gorgeous balcony view of the Alps and the Lauterbrunnen valley. The breakfast buffet was amazing- cold cuts, lots of fresh fruit, breads, a large selection of jams, and eggs to order. We also finished every night of our stay with a trip to the hot tubs/spa area. Sitting in the outdoor hot tub during a heavy snowfall was definitely a honeymoon highlight. We also loved the hotel location- it's so close to the Wenger train station that it made exploring the rest of the mountain area with day trips so easy to plan. We had an amazing stay and would strongly recommend Hotel Silberhorn if you're looking for a hotel with a great view and yummy breakfast!
