Fun Inn Taipei

Ximenting Commercial Area
I’ve stayed a lot of places in this has by far been my worst experience in years. I think as far as the location and amenities and the cleanliness everything is fine. But I tried to cancel my booking they refuse because somebody is snoring so loudly I can’t sleep from 2 AM to 7 AM. It’s impossible for me to sleep. so then I finally get a few hours of sleep I’m awake and I am packing my stuff getting ready to leave and they promptly come right at 12 o’clock as I’m already leaving, the system they have in the checkout has them want to charge me. The front desk was pretty rude to me as I was leaving I told them this isn’t fair. Also, as I was leaving, there was a European guy there was working for the place. He was doing his daily activities and I was offering to clean the bathroom by taking out the trash that was overflowing and he freaked out at me and told me to put it back. let’s just say it was a horrible night and even worse but luckily the dumplings that were right outside put me in a better mood. I wasn’t going to leave a review, but I noticed that the Fun Inn (that was nothing but fine. I asked a few people if they were busy they were just sitting around on their phones and they all said they were) had already sent Trip.com a message that I had checked out a couple minutes late. Well, I just wanna let everybody know that this could stay anywhere else other than that place.

Taichung Railway Station/Miyahara Dessert Store
I happened to stay in the smallest room in the hotel. Although it felt a bit like a separate space at the end, it was overall clean and tidy. The service attitude at the counter deserves a five-star rating The only fly in the oin**ent is that I don’t know if the partitions are not soundproofed. The sound in the corridor is acceptable, but the speech next door can be heard very clearly. You will always hear the speech next door when you sleep😅

Taipei Arena
The hotel was not too far from the train station. The room was pretty small and a bit old but considering the affordable price, i have no complaint.

Kaohsiung Siaogang Airport
It's just an ordinary business hotel, with everything you need, simple and good, um. There are a lot of restaurants nearby, and it's quite lively at night. If you stay here, you will be closer to the subway station and the airport, so you can transfer there.

Taipei Railway Station
The hotel is located at a very strategic place: super near to Taipei station & suitcase friendly. The nearest exit is Z4, but since the Taipei station is so complicated, I'll suggest getting an exit to the ground first instead of searching Z4 exit underground. It will be wayyyyy easy to locate the hotel. I booked the no window room, no issue on my side, but need to be careful on setting the alarm since you won't be able to know the time by the sunlight. And, a noticeable service provided is that they will help you to keep your luggage after you checkout, so for ppl with night flight, it's super convenient to walk around before the flight. Overall, friendly staff, clean and bright space, strategic location, cheap price, nice place.

Shilin Night Market
We have stay in Star Beauty hotel in Shillin District for 5 nights. We took MRT from aTaoyuan Airport to Taipei Station and have to change MTR Red Line to Jiantan Station and take 10 minutes walk to Star Beauty Hotel. The hotel is far from the City Center Siah Mun Ting. We stay in Luxury Room and room size is big, bed and pillows are comfortable, air-cond is cooling, water pressure for shower is good, room wi-fi sometime working and sometime no connection. It will take 20 minutes walk to Shillin Night Market. The hotel is near to jiantan Station and we are easily to take MTR and Buses to move around in Taipei. We will stay again if we go to Taipei in the near future.
CityInn Hotel Taipei Station Branch II

Taipei Railway Station
It is the first time we are staying at CityInn Hotel Taipei Station Branch II and it is conveniently located nearby the Taipei Main Station and Bus Station. On the first day when check in, we receive warm and genuine greetings from the service staff stationed at the reception counter. My friends and I were impressed by the excellent service provided by the staff (led by Lilian and her team mates Nancy and Aria) who provided as a insightful introduction to the premises and amenities available in the hotel. They helped to look after our luggage before the check in timing at 3pm and recommended us to some of the popular food spots around the vicinity. Afterwhich, we collected the room cards from them timely at check in counter without any delay. The room was sparkling clean and room amenities were all avaliable for us. There were also a self service pantry area where you can choose your drinks (coffee or tea and water dispenser) and light snacks such as biscuits and bowl noodles (after 10pm) were provided free of charge. Kitchen utensils as well as Freezer, Microwave and Oven were also made available for in house guest to use 24/7. We were also delighted to know that there is a on-site laundry room where we can wash our laundry which is especially user friendly and helpful as we were on a long trip with soiled clothings. They even provided both the washing machines and dryers as well as the detergent powder. It was so convenient and homely for our 3 days 2 nights at the hotel. Special shout out to Debby (night shift staff) who advised us on the aircon issue we had on first night on how to adjust the right temperature and also Aria assisting us with getting the engineering team to fix the air con on the next morning. Debby thank you for also doing the night shift and maintaining the cleanliness of the pantry in the morning. Lastly, we will like to thank the service team for their excellent service and great hospitality. We are deeply touched by the genuine service and surprise little gift for our friend's birthday. (Thank you Lilian and Kenny and team) Keep up the great work and stay passionate in what you do.
Traveller Inn Tiehua Cultural and Creative Hotel II

Taitung Downtown/Tiehua Village
I had a pleasant stay at Traveller Inn Tiehua Cultural and Creative Hotel 4 years ago, so thought I'd try Traveller Inn Tiehua Cultural and Creative Hotel II this time, as they are located near to each other, very close to the bus station and Tiehua Village. This is a great location to explore the city. However, other than the superb location and the bigger room, there isn't much else to love about this hotel. There was literally no service at this branch. Staff were not welcoming and unlike other hotels in Taiwan, they do not greet guests when you are at the lobby. I also never saw any of them smile at guests. In fact, on my first day of check-in, I was blatantly told to check in at Traveller Inn Tiehua Cultural and Creative Hotel instead, because ”the hotel is closed for the day”. When I asked how come I was not informed earlier, the staff answered ”because you don't have a Taiwan mobile number”. This is absurd to me, isn't there the Trip.com messaging service where you can contact guests? Very disappointed with the way they handle such cases, no apology at all, and just gives a very transactional feeling. The only time I encountered a staff who greeted me was at the breakfast restaurant. Room amenities and facilities look like they need proper maintenance, and the windows were so dirty. The bed was also not very comfortable to sleep on. Lastly, I know Taiwan hotel breakfasts are usually not so nice compared to eating out in the breakfast shops, but the quality of the breakfast was really bad. Seasonal fresh fruit selection was only watermelon on 1 morning, and guava + watermelon on another. In conclusion, very disappointed with my stay here this time. Will definitely think twice about returning to Traveller Inn Tiehua Cultural and Creative Hotel II the next time I visit Taitung again.
Somer Chew Hotel

Chihkan Tower
Somer Hotel is a gem of a place to stay in Tainan. I stayed in two different rooms during my stay, one being the tatami room and one Western hotel style. Both were spacious, clean, and really comfortable. My favorite part was the snack and drink tray provided and refilled each night so that guests can try delicious ********* food. The breakfast provided was varied and delicious. You do have to reserve the time you want to eat, but that prevents long lines and crowding during the meal. The lounge where breakfast is served is also a nice place to hang out or do work outside of the hotel room. Other amenities like wifi and the bathroom products provided were great. Service was really good and the staff was extremely welcoming and helped us to call a taxi when we needed one. The hotel is in a great location and is easily walkable to historical landmark Chikan Tower and numerous restaurants and markets. I would definitely recommend Somer Hotel as a home base for exploring or even somewhere to take naps and relax while experiencing all the amazing food that Tainan has to offer.
