"I came to Dandong specifically for the BBQ, and it definitely lived up to the hype – it had a great, lively atmosphere. I chose the best hotel in Dandong for my stay, and it was conveniently located not far from the BBQ restaurants, just a minimum taxi fare away. The hotel's service, cleanliness, and facilities were all excellent. The absolute best part was not having to go downstairs to pick up food deliveries; the front desk arranged for a robot to bring them directly to my room – that was truly amazing!"

"Honestly, I was a bit hesitant about staying at this custom home at first, thinking it might not be convenient with a child. But when the friendly front desk staff saw I had a child, they proactively offered a higher floor after tidying it up, which I gladly accepted. As soon as we entered the room, my child immediately ran to the bed. It was nice during the day, but it was absolutely stunning at night! The whole house is smart and so much fun – I could control the lights with voice commands. The blackout curtains worked perfectly, so I slept really well. The tissues were clean, and I appreciated that the toilet seat was wiped down – a definite plus! The mattress was firm, so I didn't have to worry about my child rolling off. Plus, there's a convenience store right downstairs, which was super handy for picking up anything we needed. Overall, this stay was excellent."

The Hilton Shenyang provides a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day. Visitors to Shenyang will find that the Hilton Shenyang is a fantastic accommodation choice. Transportation around the city is also convenient, with Shitushuguan Metro Station within walking distance. With multiple attractions nearby including Shenyang Youyi Shidai Square, Shenyang New World EXPO and Shenyang Ocean Exploration Center, guests will find plenty to keep themselves occupied. For guests traveling on business, this hotel is consistently one of the most popular choices.

"I traveled to Shenyang during the Dragon Boat Festival, and choosing the right hotel was crucial. This time, my main concern was finding a place that wouldn't bother my elderly parents, who are sensitive to room odors. So, besides the usual requirements like a convenient location (for driving), a pool, and being a reputable chain hotel, I specifically looked for a hotel that had been open between 5 and 10 years. This Hilton fit the bill. It opened in 2018, so while it's been around for a few years, the facilities are still very well-maintained. There was a slight scent in the room, but it definitely wasn't a renovation smell, so it wasn't an issue. The location on Youth Avenue is super convenient for getting around. They have an underground parking garage; even though it looks a bit grimy, the spots are very spacious, which is great for new drivers. Breakfast at the hotel was quite extensive with lots of choices. I particularly recommend their 'lu mian' (braised noodles) – the meat sauce was really well-made. The swimming pool's shallowest point is only 0.9 meters, which is fantastic for kids. The water is also temperature-controlled, which is another plus. During the holiday, the hotel price was around 800+ RMB (including breakfast for two), which I thought was pretty good value for money. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this hotel, especially for anyone sensitive to renovation smells. Thumbs up! #Staycation #HotelRecommendation"

"I was a bit apprehensive before entering the room, mainly because of the negative reviews I'd seen before booking, which made me quite hesitant. Plus, it was the last day in Davos, and with people checking out continuously, I wondered if the hotel could clean the room in time – a real test of their service. However, the moment I opened the door, I was pleased. It was much better than I expected, and the night view from the window was quite nice. After looking around, it met my expectations for a family room. Most importantly, the kids liked it, with a carpet flight chess game, three TVs, and two bathrooms – essential for families traveling with children. While the room facilities had an older style overall, I didn't find them as bad as the negative reviews suggested. Of course, after putting down our luggage, I did notice some flaws, like fruit pits and bookbinding fragments that hadn't been cleaned up promptly. More issues cropped up during our stay. Although the lobby manager repeatedly apologized for the shortcomings before we checked out and even gave us a small gift, hoping we wouldn't write a review, my child expressed a wish to stay here again on our way home. That's why I'm writing all this. I hope the hotel can demonstrate the professionalism expected of a Shangri-La and make further improvements. After all, the problems we encountered shouldn't be excused by regional differences between north and south. Service has no regional boundaries; it's all about the experience. On a positive note, the hotel's QR code room service is commendable, and the cleaning staff's attitude was excellent. The pool is great for kids to play in and adults to relax; just remember to wear slippers as the room slippers aren't waterproof. The hotel's location is also good. Strolling towards Zhongshan at night with the sea breeze is a pleasant experience. It's about a 20-minute taxi ride to city attractions like Venice Water City and Central Plaza. Perhaps it was luck, but I even got a BMW, Denza, and Tesla as taxis – quite fortunate given the fast-paced Dalian ride-hailing drivers. So, overall, my few days here were good, which is why I gave the environment a high rating."

"I personally believe this is currently the best-managed hotel in Shenyang. It's located in the former municipal government building, right on the City Government Hang Lung Plaza, with direct subway access. This makes it a central location in Shenyang, convenient for getting anywhere. The rooms are still very new, and the mattress is super comfortable. Breakfast meets the standard of a five-star international hotel, with excellent Western and Chinese options. They even have croissants kept warm in an oven and delicious fried cakes. From 6 PM to 8 PM, the lounge offers dinner, including eight hot dishes and main courses, salads, cheese, cold cuts, and sushi. There's a chef preparing fresh noodles on the spot. They also have simple desserts (the same as those offered at the Wenguan buffet) and beverages. The quality is really impressive. If you're not factoring in value for money, this hotel is definitely worth experiencing."

"It's normal for buildings in the old town to be a bit old-fashioned in terms of decor. There's no separate shower, so you have to shower in the bathtub. However, the cleanliness really left a lot to be desired. On the day we checked in, it might have been busy, but the front desk staff looked really unhappy, like they didn't want to be there. The lady who checked us out, though, was incredibly enthusiastic, practically begging for a good review."

We had to scramble to Jinzhou due to medical emergency from overseas. We happened to book this hotel in a great hurry and it was truly the only thing that helped us preserve our sanity at a very fraught time. It was also our first time using trip.com as I could not find much options in Jinzhou on ***********, my long time app of choice. I was worried about how things would turn out since I didn't know if I could trust trip.com or fully research my options as we had to rush to pack as well. As it turned out, I'm 100% sure that no other hotel in 4th tier Jinzhou city could have given us the experience, comfort and ambience that Manxin Hotel did. I don't say that lightly as a seasoned international traveller who's stayed at many types of hotels/guesthouses/motels over the years, it takes *a lot* to impress us enough to earn my praise and endorsement in a review. Manxin Hotel felt like a small boutique hotel feel with 3 floors of rooms. It was only opened in Jan 2024, so it really feels nice and new with a high ceiling foyer /lounge area. The rooms are huge with huge floor to ceiling windows. Although it's next to a train station, the triple glazed windows amazingly cut out most of the noise. The beds were very comfortable, with great toiletries, great Laifun hairdryer and free drinks replenished daily. Even the tea bags they provided were of great quality. We stayed in the hotel for 2 weeks so we were very happy to be able to use the complimentary washing machine service which saved me the hassle of having to hand wash my clothes daily in my room! There were some drainage issues in the shower but the hotel staff did try to sort out the problem. There's also a spacious gym available for those who are fitness fanatics. The hotel breakfast had great variety with quality coffee (not easy to find good coffee in China). They even had a singer in the foyer 3 nights a week. Though I usually love listening to live music, the singers were students who were not quite able to deliver a performance befitting the old world charm and ambience of the hotel foyer. Any hotel can have the best of facilities but often fall short on the service front. Since we were staying there for 2 weeks, we often had to deal with the hotel staff on a daily basis. We found them to be very competent, sincere, friendly, understanding and helpful for the most part, willing to do all that they could to assist us during our time of considerable distress and strain due to our family emergency. Even the housekeeping staff and the lady clearing plates in the breakfast area were warm and helpful! As foreigners , we would sometimes need help with paperwork, scanning, photocopying, and other assistantance communicating with the outside world to make arrangements for international medical evacuation, WeChat/Alipay tutorials etc. We will always be grateful to the staff for all their efforts to assist in our time of need. In particular, we would like to thank Sales manager XY Yang and duty manager Hong for their tireless assistance and consideration. If we were to go to Jinzhou again, Manxin hotel would absolutely be our only choice.

Location: Just a 5-6 minute walk to the beach, and right next to the Water City and popular Instagram spots. The Fountain Square is about a 20-minute walk away. There are snack shops and Xiding (a restaurant) nearby. Facilities: The hotel facilities are quite good and well-equipped, including a refrigerator, washing machine, and induction cooker. Environment: The overall hotel environment is excellent, and the soundproofing is also good; we barely heard any noise during our two-day stay. Although it's a very tall building (67 floors in total), there are plenty of elevators, making it convenient to go up and down. We stayed in a city view suite, and the views were fantastic. Service: The hotel staff provided excellent service. The lobby is on the 66th floor, which is also where check-in takes place. The housekeeping staff did a very thorough job cleaning our room.

This hotel exceeded our expectations! The location is fantastic – within a 1km walk, you can reach many highly-rated restaurants, major shopping malls, and the Qiyi Morning Market. What's even better is that after our room upgrade, we had a view of Zhongshan Square! After checking out, Amber from the concierge promptly called to let us know we'd left some items behind and kindly offered to hold them for us. We really felt the warmth of Dalian through her service!

What a surprise, I booked it for one day at first, fearing it would be uncomfortable. I didn't expect the boss and the front desk service to be so good. So I booked another day. The air conditioner in the middle room was broken, so the boss took the initiative to change the room. The cleaning lady was as warm and welcoming as a family member. She took such good care of our family that we felt embarrassed. The hotel is not far from anywhere and has its own parking lot. I had a great time staying in Shenyang this time. Thank you to all the hotel staff and thank you for your service.

I wanted to experience a Shenyang bathhouse, so I specifically chose Qinghe Bandao, and it certainly lived up to its reputation! The facilities are huge. Outdoors, there's a wave pool, a lazy river, and the tiered and infinity pools are super photogenic. However, I wouldn't recommend the wave pool for young kids, as inner tubes can flip over easily – my child swallowed some water and refused to go back in, haha. On the second floor, there are many indoor hot spring pools and a spacious rest area. The third floor has a kids' play area and a buffet restaurant. The buffet offers a wide variety of dishes. The limited-time items include one serving of durian, half a lobster, and one abalone per person. The durian quality was quite good, about 1.5 segments per person, which was plenty. Now, I need to specifically mention the service. When I called to inquire about the hot spring tickets for the next day during booking, the staff member on the phone was quite cold, which was a bit disheartening. But upon arrival, I found everyone to be incredibly warm and friendly! As I was checking in, a young man from the hot spring department happened to be returning to the guest room department and helped me with my luggage all the way – much appreciated! Manager Xiaohui at the front desk was also very enthusiastic and attentive. She helped me store my luggage, and after our room was cleaned, she had our luggage delivered to the room. She also proactively sent us the activity schedule, which saved us a lot of trouble. She even gave the kids water guns and fish spa vouchers – many thanks! The ladies in the buffet area were also very friendly and helpful, providing detailed answers to any questions we had. When we left an item behind, they found it immediately and helped mail it to us. So, the service at Bandao is actually excellent; everyone can rest assured! Plus, the room was very clean, and breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience!

At first, it was a bit challenging for us to locate the hotel, as we don’t speak Chinese and the reception is located on the 15th floor. However, with some assistance, we were able to find it, and from that moment on, the experience was truly wonderful. We arrived quite early, around 6:00 AM, even though check-in was scheduled for 2:00 PM. Despite this, the hotel staff were incredibly accommodating and helpful. To our pleasant surprise, they even upgraded our room, which made our stay feel extra special. The room itself was exceptionally comfortable and beautifully designed, offering stunning views that made the experience even more memorable. Every detail contributed to a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

The Le Méridien Shenyang is indeed excellent. Starting with the ambiance, you're greeted with an artistic vibe right from the entrance. While the lobby isn't a massive, high-ceilinged space, it exudes a sense of luxury and art everywhere you look. As a member, I received a complimentary suite upgrade, which was a very kind gesture. The room was clean, tidy, and very spacious, and all other member benefits were perfectly delivered. Thumbs up! The breakfast selection wasn't as extensive as I'd imagined, possibly because I went a bit late, but several dishes were genuinely delicious. In terms of value for money, it's also the best among the Marriott properties in Shenyang. Finally, I must extend a huge thank you to the attendant who cleaned room 1102 that day. They meticulously found my necklace that had fallen on the floor. Additionally, the front desk and concierge staff helped me mail it back incredibly quickly. This truly demonstrates the excellent service attitude of your hotel staff towards guests and the effective training the hotel provides its employees. Absolutely fantastic!

Traveling during off-peak season, this hotel offers incredible value for money. The location is fantastic, making it super convenient for kids to go crabbing. The service is also excellent; it's so much better than the unhelpful one next door! A big thank you to 'Eason' (Chen Yixun) who brought us plenty of water when he saw we had a large group – it felt great to have all our requests met. There was also a very handsome manager who gave the kids fun toys. Overall, it provided a wonderful vacation experience. The hamburger and fish and chips were also great and very popular with the children. On the first floor, there's even a DJI drone available for a test flight, which the kids loved. The only downside is that because it's so close to the sea, the bedding can be a bit damp. If you're traveling with small children, you might want to bring your own sheets.
