I had an excellent stay at Central Hotel (Xi’an Bell Tower)—the location and hospitality truly stood out. The hotel is perfectly placed, with many of the main attractions within walking distance, and a subway station right on the doorstep for anything further afield. Taxis don’t stop directly outside, but getting dropped at the nearby KFC means it’s only about a minute’s walk—quick and easy. My room was a real highlight, featuring a small private courtyard which was perfect for a bit of fresh air in the early mornings or late evenings. Little touches made a big difference too—unlimited bottled water available on every floor, and an instant hot water machine in the room (honestly, once you have this, you’ll wonder why every hotel doesn’t!). What impressed me most was the attention to detail: at check-in, the staff remembered a request I had made during booking—something I had completely forgotten about myself. That level of care really sets them apart. The team were fantastic throughout—especially the check-in staff and the lady who helped arrange taxis. Friendly, efficient, and genuinely welcoming. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Bravo to the entire team, and thank you for such a memorable stay!

Weekend train trek to BaoJi from Xi’an. It’s a very walkable city, and there are bikes all around. Crowne Plaza has a nice longe on the 40th Floor. It is next to a mall, and adjacent to the theater. The park nearby stretches to the historically designed walking bridge into Chencang Old Street (I suggest folk music bar next to Panda Aquarium/BaoJi Station display). Crowne has nice views and comfortable rooms. Staff is bilingual and everything is clean. Of the Crowne Plazas I have stayed in, this one is maintained well.

A perfect experience for a family trip. The hotel is in a very good location, right by the Han River, integrated with Tianhan Park, and has a very good environment The hotel service is first-class, the facilities are very new, and it feels very high-end The breakfast is very good, the hot rice noodles are a must, I ate bowl after bowl until I couldn't eat anymore, it's much better than eating out There is a 30 yuan noodle buffet for lunch, which is amazing! Every kind of noodle is delicious, oil splash, pulled noodles, the children ate bowl after bowl, amazing! Next time I come to Hanzhong, I will stay here again

Good hotel, with perfect location, walking distance to bell and dram towers. Room was clean, big and bright Breakfast was ok. Mostly all staff was friendly and polite, except to ladies on reception, I didn't know why at 5:30 am in my room all lights started to switch on and curtains opened. When I asked, they weren't interested to help, it looked very rud when I got answer ”I don't speak English” and they continue to talk with each other, like I wasn't there. Only after I showed the transaction on my phone they told to say something in Chinese in room, but none of us can speak Chinese and I couldn't understand why they made this for everyday option and for us it's not easy to find what to do because everything is on Chinese. Only after I said that I won't do anything by myself, they agreed to fix it. And last night didn't have this problem.

Traveling abroad, YAZHI Hotel is an excellent choice. Their locations are always in areas with the most distinctive local attractions, perfect for Instagram-worthy shots. The hotels are typically surrounded by bar streets and food streets, catering to all your needs 24/7! Facilities, Environment, and Hygiene: This Xi'an location offers city wall view rooms where you can admire the illuminated lanterns on the city wall at night and capture beautiful scenery during the day. The Bell Tower, Drum Tower, SKP, and other shopping malls are all within walking distance! They provide daily breakfast, afternoon tea, and late-night snacks, and the noodles are especially delicious. Every hotel also offers complimentary local specialty drinks. Service: The hotel's service is also excellent. The front desk staff gave fantastic travel advice. The dining department, upon learning I needed to leave at 6:20 AM due to traffic restrictions, specially prepared a breakfast to-go for me. The housekeeping department, noticing I hadn't turned off the 'do not disturb' light while I was out, called to check on me. This stay was truly exceptional. The hotel staff's service was not only thoughtful, meticulous, and warm, but you could also feel their dedication and passion for their work in every detail. This truly reflects the hotel's excellent management philosophy and professional standards, making guests feel incredibly warm and at ease. Highly recommended!

Humans' anxieties all stem from an imbalance between internal chaos and external order. As Freud revealed in 'Totem and Taboo,' once humans enter culture, they fall into an irreversible alienation. This primary anxiety, a fundamental castration complex, means the subject can never find peace. Yet, it is precisely the establishment of this primary repression that supports the sliding of the signifying chain. In cities filled with noise, overstimulation, and overflowing desires, we are long exposed to unconscious pressures of anxiety, intrusive interpersonal interactions, and violated spatial boundaries. This hostel, Guihua Zaijiu Hostel, located on Huimin Street, unexpectedly became a rare transitional space and a field for spiritual healing. When I stayed in this hostel, I experienced the feeling of being embraced by what psychoanalytic theory calls an 'ideal safe object.' Its extreme cleanliness and tidiness were not just about physical comfort; they subtly echoed Freud's interpretation of cleanliness and anxiety. The orderly and spotless environment acted as a barrier, isolating my subconscious fear of disorder and impurity, allowing my wandering id to lower its guard and return to a state of relaxation and security. The service, just right, without overly intrusive gazes or cold detachment, perfectly aligned with Lacan's emphasis on the subject's need for a sense of boundaries. Not judged, not symbolically hijacked, but gently accepted, it allowed me to shed my social mask and suppress my true emotions, achieving a momentary integration of self in my own space. Even more precious is its location, offering a quiet retreat amidst the bustle: downstairs, the vibrant reality of human life and desires; turn back, and it's a peaceful, undisturbed spiritual sanctuary. This perfectly embodies the balance point between inner and outer worlds described by Lacan, satisfying both the perception of life and the guarding of inner order. Coupled with its affordable price, it completely stripped away the identity symbols that capital imbues upon accommodation, eliminating the castration anxiety brought by money, allowing one to return to their most authentic state of being. This hostel, hidden in the city, lacks elaborate packaging but, with its stable, clean, and gentle qualities, has become an excellent subconscious refuge for urban wanderers, soothing anxiety and settling the mind and body.

Location: Incredibly convenient! It's right near the H exit of Bell Tower Metro Station. After visiting the Terracotta Warriors, the bus dropped us off right in front of the hotel at Bell Tower Station. We could see our hotel as soon as we got off, which meant we could rest immediately – the location is just perfect! It's also very close to the Bell Tower and Drum Tower, so we just walked back in the evenings. Service: The staff in the lobby on the first floor, the front desk on the second floor, the cleaning aunties, and the hotel's personal butler were all warm, thoughtful, and had excellent service attitudes. Room: The environment is clean and bright, and you can open the window for ventilation. The sink drains very quickly with no strange odors, and the shower water pressure is great, which I really liked. The toilet is also clean and automatically heated, which is a nice touch. After a day of sightseeing, you can really get some good rest here at night.

The owner was incredibly warm and friendly, even offering pick-up and drop-off services. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding comfortable, and the hot water for showering was excellent. The location was convenient yet quiet. During Chinese New Year, it was extremely busy, and we couldn't get tickets, but the owner went out of her way to help us secure them. The food was absolutely delicious – we tried the Yellow River catfish, free-range chicken, stir-fried pork with bamboo shoots, and various wild vegetables, all of which tasted fantastic. We were very satisfied with our experience and would definitely choose to stay here again!

Very good experience! I went to the hotel with a try and a try. There was a large parking lot. The doorman took the initiative to help with the luggage. The lobby staff was warm and provided discounts. The hotel is clean, the room facilities are very new, the bedding is comfortable, the shower water is very flush, and the fatigue of driving is washed away. The surrounding environment is good, there are many restaurants opposite the hotel, and there is a leisure square in the west. The first time I came to Yulin, the image was very good. Will settle in next time.

LLandaorenI hadn't stayed at Sofitel Legend before, but I had twice stayed at the Sofitel and Mercure hotels next door (Mercure has since closed down). However, I've always had an irresistible attraction to hotels with a rich history, especially those converted from former high-level government guesthouses (let's call them 'old money hotels'). While planning where to go for the 2026 Chinese New Year, a short video platform surprisingly pushed this hotel that had always intrigued me. I checked the prices, and compared to other five-star hotels in Xi'an, it was significantly cheaper, so I booked a New Year's Eve stay. Upon arrival, the doorman promptly opened the car door and helped with our luggage, which goes without saying (though, to be fair, many five-star hotel doormen nowadays lack such proactiveness). The front desk staff efficiently and smoothly handled the check-in process, offering a choice of champagne, coffee, or black tea as a welcome drink. While resting in the lounge area, I happened to see a few young women taking photos in the hotel's coffee corner, adding a lively touch to the atmosphere. The attendant escorted us to our room, briefly introducing the hotel's history. Built in the 1950s, it served as a provincial guesthouse, combining Soviet, French, and traditional Chinese architectural styles. The complimentary bottled water was also in Tetra Pak packaging, reflecting the hotel's commitment to green practices. During our stay, the restaurant's host remembered our preferences by the second day. The 'shui盆牛肉' (beef soup) with 'baiji mo' (flatbread) was incredibly fragrant and chewy; I almost wanted to pack some to take home. The butler service was also impeccable, with turn-down service promptly at 7 PM every evening. The local specialty drink, 'Bingfeng' soda, was a delightful taste sensation. On the morning of the first day of Chinese New Year, the hotel arranged a lion dance performance – I never expected to see a Southern Lion dance team in Xi'an. Although the hotel only has 71 guest rooms, excluding the few business presidential suites that are rarely occupied by ordinary guests, there are about 60 rooms. Based on my observations during our 4-day, 3-night stay over Chinese New Year, there were probably only 8-9 other occupied rooms, so the overall occupancy rate wasn't high. Perhaps most people don't choose this place, as its exterior appears very understated and discreet. However, I highly recommend it, especially when traveling with elderly family members. The location is super convenient for getting around, just a 10-minute walk from Wulukou Station on Metro Line 1 (right next to Minleyuan and Wanda Plaza). I'd love to stay here again next time I visit Xi'an, haha! 😄

GGuest UserWe really enjoyed everything! The hotel left исключительно pleasant impressions. Its location is excellent - it’s convenient both for reaching the main attractions and accessing transportation. The room was comfortable, clean, and well designed, with everything we needed close at hand. We would also like to highlight the room’s great location relative to the elevator: it was close, yet there was absolutely no noise. The hotel overall is very quiet and peaceful, which allowed us to rest perfectly after busy days. The shower facilities were also convenient and well maintained. We would especially like to thank Muzi and Li for their friendliness, help, support, and all the information they provided - thanks to them, our stay became even more comfortable and enjoyable. We would gladly stay here again and can confidently recommend this hotel to other travelers!

GGuest UserThis is my second time staying at this hotel, and everything is great. The location is right at the foot of Xi'an's ancient city wall, and a left turn out of the hotel brings you to the ticket gate for wall access. The only minor drawback is that it's a bit far from the subway station, but getting around is still quite convenient. The breakfast offers a good variety and tastes delicious. Facilities: As a newly opened hotel, all the facilities are in excellent working condition. Cleanliness: Spotless. Ambiance: Very good. Service: Extremely thoughtful.

SShoumiaoWe were five grown men and had a very comfortable stay. This is a B&B in the residential complex. It's beautifully decorated, quiet, and well-equipped. The floor heating was very warm, even with the windows open, it wasn't cold, and the air conditioning worked flawlessly. The complex is well-managed, and it's right next to Wanda and two snack streets! There's a wide variety of food options, but eating in the room was so comfortable that we deliberately packed up for two nights and played mahjong and poker afterwards...we didn't want to go out. Transportation is very convenient, and the subway station is just a short walk away. Two of the bedrooms are small suites, one with a private bathroom, and the other two share a bathroom. Three bathrooms are definitely enough. In short, living in this large flat is really comfortable!

AAnonymous UserThe location is super convenient! It's an easy walk to the Bell Tower and Xi'an Museum. For places like Datang Everbright City, Shaanxi History Museum, and Sajinqiao, a taxi ride is quick and simple. There are also plenty of shopping areas nearby, plus famous local eateries like Weijia Liangpi and Chahualong. We had a great time! The room itself was generally good, though the bathroom was a bit small. We stayed in two rooms for four nights but didn't get complimentary breakfast, which was a bit of a shame. The family room faced the street, so it was a little noisy. The Qin Sheng Zhai downstairs had some delicious food.

LLegrekovaI stayed in the heart of Xi'an for 3 nights. The hotel is tranquil, Zen-like, with a stone rooftop garden and interiors that embrace silence. The staff is very attentive: politely and honestly eager to help. Interestingly delicious traditional breakfast filled with five tastes😋, late evening meal easily can replace suddenly missed supper. Cleaning in China overall is different: housekeeping is more philosophical, as I observe. There's a pool, but it's more of a backdrop; the laundry, on the other hand, is impeccable. In short and to the point: come for the location and atmosphere, take the best room you can afford, and enjoy China!

TTinaMThis is a lovely hotel with kind, welcoming staff. I read some reviews saying the rooms are very old etc, but I don't see how that makes this hotel any less great - the rooms are still clean and well maintained. I arrived in Xi'an after 48 hours of hectic traveling due to a missed train, and the staff at Meihao Hotel were very welcoming, were happy to use translation apps to communicate with me. The room was large, with a view of the neighbourhood outside (mostly just traffic jams haha, but that's Xi'an). The location may not be super ideal for some as it isn't in the city centre, but honestly it was no inconvenience at all, as the nearest subway station is a brisk walk away -- about 5-7 minutes. If you're arriving by train and carrying a lot of heavy luggage, then yes, coming via subway might be a bit of a challenge (but not impossible!) The housekeeping staff especially were very warm and kind. Thank you for always brightening my day when I walked by you all. A few hours after I checked in, a lovely staff member knocked on my door and offered me a small bowl of soup. I was very confused as I hadn't ordered anything, but upon seeing other guests were receiving this too, I gladly accepted. It was such an unexpected, kind gesture -- this hotel truly knows how to make one feel welcome. I fell ill on the second day of my stay, and thankfully the room was so comfortable, I could recuperate well. My only complaint is that the bedsheets, comforter, pillowcases etc -- all the bedding essentially smells of cigarette smoke. I could also smell cigarette smoke from beyond my room's door at night. This was despite there being a clear sign in the room saying smoking was not allowed inside. Though this is certainly not something you can fault hotel staff for (if guests are adamant to smoke inside, what can housekeeping possibly do?), I just thought I would mention this for any other guests who might be very sensitive to the smell, perhaps you could request staff to rewash the bedding until the smoke smell is entirely gone. After checking out, I also noticed there were some freebies that were part of my booking that I unfortunately missed out on :( There was meant to be welcome fruit, afternoon tea for two and a midnight snack, which I would have loved to try. There was no welcome fruit offered, but I did receive some refreshing juice when I arrived to check in -- it was a hot day and I was grateful for the welcome drink. For the other stuff, as I didn't realise it was part of the booking perks, I never asked, and consequently seem to have missed out. I also want to say that aside from the rooms, the lobby area is quite lovely -- very tastefully decorated, peaceful, and I even saw they had some free coffee out for guests! I only noticed this when I was checking out though, and my taxi was already on the way to pick me up, so I could not indulge. Maybe it would be helpful if the reception staff could share all this info with guests when they check in, especially with the foreign guests who are already a bit confused and trying to get their bearings ^-^ Just a suggestion! Thank you for a nice stay. I will definitely be back again soon.

GGuest UserThis hotel truly exceeded my expectations! The room was so clean it practically sparkled, and the mattress was the perfect balance of soft and firm – I was asleep in three seconds flat. The front desk lady had a smile as bright as the sun; she proactively offered a hot towel during check-in and reminded me that the restaurant was open until late. The freshly made shrimp wontons at breakfast were incredibly delicious, and they even had a coffee machine that could make latte art! The rooftop terrace was the absolute best part; sitting there at night, watching the city lights with the scent of osmanthus in the air, and they even brought a complimentary sweet soup for the evening. When I checked out, I found my car had been polished sparkling clean. This hotel's attention to detail is amazing – I'm definitely staying here again for my next business trip!
