The hotel was nice and the location was great. We even got a free upgrade of our room so that was amazing as well. The hotel was located centrally next to the bell tower with lots of food/shops nearby. Unfortunately the sound isolation was not good, we could hear our neighbors watching a movie and we could even hear the words of the movie.

This hotel is the pinnacle of luxury for a trip to Xi'an! The Scenic Terrace Room at the Yongning Gate雅致酒店 (Yazhi Hotel) was absolutely amazing. The location is simply divine, right next to the Yongning Gate city wall, and within walking distance of the Bell and Drum Towers and the Muslim Quarter. The subway station is just a few minutes away, making it incredibly convenient for exploring and dining. The Scenic Terrace Room we booked was an exceptional experience. The room was spacious and airy, with a light luxury Tang Dynasty-inspired design that created a wonderful atmosphere. The private terrace offered a direct view of the Yongning Gate archery tower – imagine soaking in the ancient charm of the city wall by day, and enjoying the dazzling illuminated Chang'an nightscape by night. Every photo we took looked like a stunning historical drama scene. The entire room featured smart voice control, and the Mousse mattress was incredibly soft and comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. The bathroom was clean and tidy with a separate wet and dry area, truly showcasing attention to detail and quality. Anna at the front desk provided exceptional and thoughtful service. We received a delightful afternoon tea upon check-in, and even free late-night snacks. The staff were all enthusiastic and professional, making us feel completely at home.

The reception desk was super welcoming. There were two girls on the desk, and I stood at the desk for at least like 10 seconds before they before I was standing there even though I said ”Ni Hao”. They look so miserable and couldn't even smile. The hotel must treat them so terribly. The room wall was full black scratch marks every where. The hotel looks only 50% like the photo. The cleaner did the bare minimum, my sink was dirty and didn't even clean it. Don't believe about the gym or amenities. The only thing I like about the hotel is the location and the neighborhood. It feel very authentic and cozy neighborhood with lively students and nice fast local eateries. There is a cozy Cafe near by.

A beautifully presented central hotel inside the Xi’an walls, which offers some really nice amenities such as afternoon tea, costumed photo shoots and sweet dessert supper. The staff were really attentive and friendly. They were happy to help us investigate an initial air con smell in the room and arranged to have it cleaned which appeared to solve the issue quickly. The room had a great view looking at the Xi’an walls and was controllable using a smart interface. The bed was clean, large and comfortable.

The service and cleanliness at this hotel were truly impressive. From check-in to check-out, the staff consistently provided warm and thoughtful assistance, making me feel very welcome. The room was clean and bright, the bedding soft and comfortable, and every detail was meticulously maintained, creating a peaceful and relaxing living environment. The public areas were also spotlessly clean, demonstrating the hotel's commitment to quality. Overall, this place not only met basic accommodation needs but also made every guest feel cared for through its attentive service. It was a very pleasant experience.

This guesthouse was such a great find for our family trip to Mount Hua! The owner was incredibly welcoming and even helped us plan our hiking route beforehand. The room was clean and cozy, with beautiful mountain views right outside the window. Waking up to the sound of birds in the morning was so therapeutic! The location is also super convenient, close to the visitor center, and parking was easy. The hike itself was exhausting, but so worth it! I'm never climbing Mount Hua again, but I'd definitely recommend friends to stay here.

Return to this OJC hotel after 2 years. Excellent location with plenty of food pushcarts store just below the hotel. Having supper almost every night during my the 4 nights stays .MacDonald 3 minutes walk to a shopping mall . Train station just 2 minutes walking distance.. Bell Tower night lighting is awesome beautiful. We book a one day tour from the hotel lady to visit Bing Ma Yong .. lunch meal is included however taste and quality is just average (vegetarian as shown on photo). Transport is quite badly arranged after end of event… the young lady Tour Guide 小包only give us the Bus plate number and expect us the search around in the big open field carpark. Never expected they changed to be small mini buses. We almost miss the bus for our next concert event..

The location alone makes this place worth booking -- walkable to nearly everything, which is rare and genuinely valuable The room had a few surprises compared to the listing photos, including carpet rather than the hard floors shown, and a smaller window than expected. For guests with sensitivities, worth noting ahead of time. The room ran a little dark, but the quiet of a high floor at the end of the hall more than made up for it. Bathroom is functional with standard toiletries. Would love to see better ventilation and a bidet added in a future update -- we are in Asia after all. Wi-Fi was inconsistent during my stay, which was the one real frustration. The wins were real though: guest-controlled AC (a genuine rarity in China), a comfortable bed, impressively soft towels, linen slippers, a proper tea set, and an air purifier. As an English-speaking guest I appreciated the card with key hotel information in English and the one English news channel -- small gestures that meant a lot after weeks without hearing the language. The Blue Mountain instant coffee was a welcome touch. Housekeeping leaves a daily note with who cleaned and the next day's weather -- small detail, big impression. My housekeeper was especially warm during a stretch when I wasn't feeling well. The front desk and reception staff were consistently kind throughout my stay. Solid stay with a location that's hard to beat.

The location is excellent, very convenient for nearby shopping malls, dining, and entertainment. Overall, it's great; it has everything you need, and the voice-controlled smart features are very convenient. It was lovely to spend a rainy day in the room, projecting movies. I can't fault the service; it's very attentive. Consumables like razors were delivered very quickly by the front desk, and room cleaning was prompt and polite. The front desk service was also thoughtful and efficient, with a comfortable sense of boundaries. When I had to go out unexpectedly without an umbrella, they even lent me one personally, which was a very kind gesture. The overall experience was fantastic, and I would definitely return. It would be perfect if it were pet-friendly; then I could bring my furry child to Xi'an next time.
