I had an excellent stay at Central Hotel (Xi’an Bell Tower)—the location and hospitality truly stood out. The hotel is perfectly placed, with many of the main attractions within walking distance, and a subway station right on the doorstep for anything further afield. Taxis don’t stop directly outside, but getting dropped at the nearby KFC means it’s only about a minute’s walk—quick and easy. My room was a real highlight, featuring a small private courtyard which was perfect for a bit of fresh air in the early mornings or late evenings. Little touches made a big difference too—unlimited bottled water available on every floor, and an instant hot water machine in the room (honestly, once you have this, you’ll wonder why every hotel doesn’t!). What impressed me most was the attention to detail: at check-in, the staff remembered a request I had made during booking—something I had completely forgotten about myself. That level of care really sets them apart. The team were fantastic throughout—especially the check-in staff and the lady who helped arrange taxis. Friendly, efficient, and genuinely welcoming. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Bravo to the entire team, and thank you for such a memorable stay!

Weekend train trek to BaoJi from Xi’an. It’s a very walkable city, and there are bikes all around. Crowne Plaza has a nice longe on the 40th Floor. It is next to a mall, and adjacent to the theater. The park nearby stretches to the historically designed walking bridge into Chencang Old Street (I suggest folk music bar next to Panda Aquarium/BaoJi Station display). Crowne has nice views and comfortable rooms. Staff is bilingual and everything is clean. Of the Crowne Plazas I have stayed in, this one is maintained well.

A perfect experience for a family trip. The hotel is in a very good location, right by the Han River, integrated with Tianhan Park, and has a very good environment The hotel service is first-class, the facilities are very new, and it feels very high-end The breakfast is very good, the hot rice noodles are a must, I ate bowl after bowl until I couldn't eat anymore, it's much better than eating out There is a 30 yuan noodle buffet for lunch, which is amazing! Every kind of noodle is delicious, oil splash, pulled noodles, the children ate bowl after bowl, amazing! Next time I come to Hanzhong, I will stay here again

I was expecting something to go wrong because this hotel sounded too good to be true. 1) Location is too convenient. If you come out of the metro station you’ll see the 1.metro station 2.the hotel 3.the bell tower lining up in one frame, it’s all so close together. 2) All staff are so nice, helpful, and accommodating 3) Everything is beautiful, well-designed, and clean 4) it’s so cheap! Too cheap! I got the cheapest room and it’s still come with the breakfast buffet 5) it’s very safe. At first I thought at this price and location and accommodation, I’d probably have someone breaking in my room at night but no no, not even a single ants. I accidentally made a mess and made an irreversible catastrophic damage to their expensive duvet and was so stressed out about how much they’re going to charge me but turned out it was not even 1:4 of what I had in mind and they made sure to let me know it’s all okay. It’s a nice little hotel and turned out everything was as good as it sounded. That’s China, I guess. I’d absolutely recommend this hotel and next time I come here I’ll add a little extra because the cheapest room has no windows and I LOVE WINDOWS, one of the biggest fans there is. Peace and love.

Ddecding 2026.03.26
I'm so glad I started my Xi'an trip here. It really hit all the right spots, to the point where I seriously considered extending my stay for another day… but in the end, I decided to experience other hotels as well. [Location] It's right by Yongning Gate, next to the city wall, perfectly avoiding the city's traffic jams, which is super convenient for those who rely on taxis for getting around. There's also a subway station nearby. Plus, there are tons of delivery options and amazing places to eat, from breakfast to dinner, snacks, bubble tea, BBQ, and late-night eats – you could literally spend all day just eating! It's also a pleasant walk to the Bell Tower. [View] Pull back the curtains and there's the city wall. Whether it's the grandeur of the day or the dazzling lights at night, I could never get enough of it. [Service] The service was absolutely fantastic! It's been a long time since I've experienced such heartwarming service. Every staff member was so enthusiastic and friendly, from the front desk ladies to the aunties in the restaurant. Everyone served with a smile and went out of their way to provide help within their means. [Environment] (1) The decor, design, and murals really resonated with everyone; there are so many photo opportunities within the hotel itself. (2) Even if you don't have a city wall view room, the outdoor bar offers a spectacular view of the city wall. Sitting there watching the sunset, scrolling on your phone, and enjoying afternoon tea – it's incredibly cozy. (3) The small table in the triple room was perfect for ordering takeout with friends, happily eating and chatting, with Xi'an's city wall right outside the window. After a full meal, you can just lean back and feel completely content without even stepping out. However, if you're a workaholic and need to work overtime, the restaurant might be a more convenient spot. (4) The beds, pillows, and bath products were all very well-received. [Facilities] The pillows, bedding, and toiletries were all highly praised. [Activities] They offer airport pick-up and drop-off, a rubbings activity, free Hanfu rental, and there are many foreign guests as well. [Heads-up] For city wall view rooms facing the road, because they primarily feature glass curtain walls and windows, you might hear the sound of motorcycles with loud exhausts. However, since it's not continuous, it didn't affect our sleep. But it could be a concern for those who are sensitive to noise or are very light sleepers. BUT! The front desk thoughtfully provides earplugs! [Other] When I checked in, it felt like there weren't many guests. Perhaps it's because the price is relatively higher? Or maybe there are too many hotels in the vicinity, leading to intense competition and diverting some guests. However, with the amazing view + cultural experience + airport transfer + excellent service + great location + wonderful ambiance, I feel like it's hard to beat.

Humans' anxieties all stem from an imbalance between internal chaos and external order. As Freud revealed in 'Totem and Taboo,' once humans enter culture, they fall into an irreversible alienation. This primary anxiety, a fundamental castration complex, means the subject can never find peace. Yet, it is precisely the establishment of this primary repression that supports the sliding of the signifying chain. In cities filled with noise, overstimulation, and overflowing desires, we are long exposed to unconscious pressures of anxiety, intrusive interpersonal interactions, and violated spatial boundaries. This hostel, Guihua Zaijiu Hostel, located on Huimin Street, unexpectedly became a rare transitional space and a field for spiritual healing. When I stayed in this hostel, I experienced the feeling of being embraced by what psychoanalytic theory calls an 'ideal safe object.' Its extreme cleanliness and tidiness were not just about physical comfort; they subtly echoed Freud's interpretation of cleanliness and anxiety. The orderly and spotless environment acted as a barrier, isolating my subconscious fear of disorder and impurity, allowing my wandering id to lower its guard and return to a state of relaxation and security. The service, just right, without overly intrusive gazes or cold detachment, perfectly aligned with Lacan's emphasis on the subject's need for a sense of boundaries. Not judged, not symbolically hijacked, but gently accepted, it allowed me to shed my social mask and suppress my true emotions, achieving a momentary integration of self in my own space. Even more precious is its location, offering a quiet retreat amidst the bustle: downstairs, the vibrant reality of human life and desires; turn back, and it's a peaceful, undisturbed spiritual sanctuary. This perfectly embodies the balance point between inner and outer worlds described by Lacan, satisfying both the perception of life and the guarding of inner order. Coupled with its affordable price, it completely stripped away the identity symbols that capital imbues upon accommodation, eliminating the castration anxiety brought by money, allowing one to return to their most authentic state of being. This hostel, hidden in the city, lacks elaborate packaging but, with its stable, clean, and gentle qualities, has become an excellent subconscious refuge for urban wanderers, soothing anxiety and settling the mind and body.

This hotel completely exceeded my expectations. The location is excellent, very close to the airport, which is super convenient for travelers catching early flights or those on a layover. Plus, getting to the city center takes about 30 minutes by public transport, so getting around is easy. There are many restaurants, eateries, and shops around the hotel, making life very convenient. You won't have to worry about food or shopping at all. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The overall environment was very relaxing, and I felt completely at ease during my stay. What touched me the most were the hotel owners. They are incredibly kind, enthusiastic, and helpful, always willing to assist whenever needed. The owner even personally picked us up and dropped us off at the airport, which was a huge help. They even gave us small gifts, which made us feel incredibly warm and welcome. I truly felt cared for and welcomed here. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be staying here again!

The owner was incredibly warm and friendly, even offering pick-up and drop-off services. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding comfortable, and the hot water for showering was excellent. The location was convenient yet quiet. During Chinese New Year, it was extremely busy, and we couldn't get tickets, but the owner went out of her way to help us secure them. The food was absolutely delicious – we tried the Yellow River catfish, free-range chicken, stir-fried pork with bamboo shoots, and various wild vegetables, all of which tasted fantastic. We were very satisfied with our experience and would definitely choose to stay here again!

Very good experience! I went to the hotel with a try and a try. There was a large parking lot. The doorman took the initiative to help with the luggage. The lobby staff was warm and provided discounts. The hotel is clean, the room facilities are very new, the bedding is comfortable, the shower water is very flush, and the fatigue of driving is washed away. The surrounding environment is good, there are many restaurants opposite the hotel, and there is a leisure square in the west. The first time I came to Yulin, the image was very good. Will settle in next time.

JJunmoyigeThis was my first stay at the Sofitel Legend Xi'an, the only Sofitel Legend property in mainland China under Accor's luxury brand. The hotel boasts an excellent location at 319 Dongxin Street, Xincheng District, Xi'an, close to many historical sites like the Bell Tower. The People's Mansion complex at 319 Dongxin Street houses four hotels: Sofitel Legend Xi'an, Sofitel Xi'an on Renmin Square, Grand Mercure Xi'an on Renmin Square, and Mercure Xi'an on Renmin Square. The surrounding area is well-equipped with amenities, making transportation incredibly convenient. After the founding of New China in 1949, to meet the needs of official foreign接待, the Xi'an People's Mansion was established in 1953 in the ancient capital of Xi'an. It was then the largest, best-equipped, and highest-standard foreign affairs guesthouse in the Northwest region, initiated and overseen by the leaders of the Northwest Military and Political Committee. In the early 21st century, with the deepening of reform and opening-up and the flourishing tourism industry, under the unified leadership of Shaanxi Investment Group Co., Ltd., the People's Mansion entrusted Accor Group Hotel Management Company to professionally operate and manage the hotel cluster within the complex. Significant funds were invested, initiating a continuous upgrade and renovation project that lasted over ten years. This ultimately resulted in the creation of Mercure, Grand Mercure, Sofitel, and the fifth and only Sofitel Legend hotel in the world located in China. To the east is the Sofitel International Convention and Exhibition Center, which officially opened after 2000. This center features a pillar-less grand ballroom, 11 multi-functional meeting rooms, and a specialty Chinese restaurant. To the west is the Sofitel People's Theater. The theater, built in 1954, was renovated and upgraded after 2000, becoming an important venue for political and cultural activities in Shaanxi Province and even the entire Northwest region. From 1953 to 1974, the People's Mansion was not open to the public, with its main entrance guarded by Chinese People's Liberation Army soldiers, conveying both a sense of solemn strictness and an intriguing mystery of that era. In 2014, Building 1 of Xi'an People's Mansion completed its refurbishment. Building 1 of the People's Mansion stands in the heart of the ancient capital, carrying the city's glorious memories since 1953. It once served as an important venue for receiving state guests, and has now been magnificently transformed into the Sofitel Legend Xi'an, retaining its historical heritage while exuding a new brilliance of French elegance and contemporary luxury. The Sofitel Legend Xi'an embodies luxury that is never ostentatious; it is subtly hidden in meticulously crafted details. We firmly believe that true respect goes beyond magnificent spaces and lies in a refined response to lifestyle. The Sofitel Legend hotel has eight floors. The basement houses the spa, the ground floor features the lobby, with the front desk on the left, along with a swimming pool, a museum, a fitness center, and the Roman Holiday Italian Restaurant. The second floor offers meeting rooms and a business center. The hotel offers four types of suites: a 61 sqm Premier Suite, a 98 sqm Luxury Premier Suite, a 133 sqm Imperial Suite, and a 183 sqm Chang'an Suite. The 61 sqm Premier Suite is well-designed, with a quiet and comfortable room and fresh, pleasant air. Upon entering, there's a living room with a minibar, followed by the bedroom. Beyond the bedroom, there's a bathtub and a separate wet and dry bathroom with a shower. The hotel staff were professional and enthusiastic. During check-in, they proactively introduced nearby attractions and transportation routes – highly recommended!

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is excellent; it's within walking distance to attractions like the Stele Forest Museum, Bell and Drum Towers, and the Muslim Quarter. In the evenings, you can even take a stroll along the city wall. The hotel itself has a beautiful, artistic ambiance. The staff are warm and attentive, calling daily to check if everything is satisfactory. Breakfast is incredibly varied and generous, and they even deliver desserts to your room in the evenings, which is a lovely touch. Yunhe Yebo has definitely become my top choice.

It is also equipped with a fully automatic mahjong machine, which adds a lot of fun to our group's leisure time, as warm and comfortable as at home, a very pleasant travel experience.

LLegrekovaI stayed in the heart of Xi'an for 3 nights. The hotel is tranquil, Zen-like, with a stone rooftop garden and interiors that embrace silence. The staff is very attentive: politely and honestly eager to help. Interestingly delicious traditional breakfast filled with five tastes😋, late evening meal easily can replace suddenly missed supper. Cleaning in China overall is different: housekeeping is more philosophical, as I observe. There's a pool, but it's more of a backdrop; the laundry, on the other hand, is impeccable. In short and to the point: come for the location and atmosphere, take the best room you can afford, and enjoy China!

GGuest UserThe room is also very good, with a large space. In the evening, the staff also sent me fruits, which was very enthusiastic. The check-in time at the front desk was also very fast. The hotel staff are very enthusiastic to people, and any problems can be solved quickly. The late-night breakfast is very good. The location is very good. There are many large shopping malls nearby when you walk straight out of the subway entrance, which is also very convenient for buying things. The most important thing is that his service is really good and the facilities and equipment are very good. The price-performance ratio is also relatively high, and the service is really good from beginning to end. The hotel is very conveniently located, very close to the Ganjiazhai and Keji Road subway entrances, the environment is very good, and the hygiene is also very clean. There is a lot of free mineral water in the lobby, as well as some daily necessities. They can park for free at the entrance of the hotel, so it is also quite convenient.

GGuest UserXiaoyi's thoughtful service made our Xi'an trip incredibly warm and memorable. Choosing Meihua Lizhi Hotel Bell and Drum Tower Huimin Street store for our Xi'an trip was the best decision, and the service from front desk staff Xiaoyi added countless warmth and surprises to our journey, becoming a beautiful and unforgettable memory. The moment we stepped into the hotel, Xiaoyi's warm and healing smile swept away all the fatigue from our travels. She stood up to greet us, her voice gentle and kind, saying, ”Welcome to Xi'an, you must have had a tiring journey.” This instantly bridged the gap between strangers and the city, making us feel as if we had met a long-lost friend. During check-in, her movements were skilled and efficient, while she meticulously verified our information, maintaining a genuine smile throughout. This made us feel extremely respected and cared for. Upon learning that it was our first time in Xi'an and that we were traveling with elderly family members, Xiaoyi was exceptionally thoughtful. She proactively offered a carefully prepared guide to the surrounding area, which not only marked the best routes for key attractions like Huimin Street and the Bell and Drum Tower but also detailed must-try local snacks on Huimin Street. From how to eat Laoshun Family's 'Paomo' (pita bread soaked in lamb soup) to tips on buying 'Zenggao' (steamed glutinous rice cake), she explained everything as if recounting family treasures, making it even more practical than online guides. Considering the elderly's mobility, she specially arranged a quiet room on a lower floor near the elevator for us. She also meticulously informed us about the hotel's facilities, including the location of accessible pathways, breakfast hours, and the 24-hour service hotline. Every detail was covered comprehensively. During our stay, no matter what issues we encountered, Xiaoyi always responded promptly and resolved them appropriately. When an elder suddenly felt unwell late at night, we called the front desk to inquire about nearby pharmacies. She not only quickly provided the address and contact information for the nearest 24-hour pharmacy but also proactively asked if we needed assistance arranging transportation. Her concern was incredibly comforting. When we had to change our return time and inquired about early check-out, she patiently answered our questions and flexibly coordinated arrangements, leaving us with no worries. Xiaoyi, with her professionalism, meticulous care, and enthusiastic spirit, perfectly embodies the service philosophy of ”feeling at home.” Meihua Lizhi Hotel is undoubtedly proud to have such an excellent employee, and every guest is fortunate to experience her service. The next time we visit Xi'an, we will undoubtedly choose this hotel again, purely for this reassuring and heartwarming service. Our sincere thanks to Xiaoyi, and we wish the hotel all the best!
