I recently stayed at Copthorne Hotel Brinchang in Cameron Highlands and had a pleasant experience overall. The location is excellent—situated at a higher altitude, it offers cool weather and beautiful views of the surrounding hills. It's also close to popular attractions like the night market, tea plantations, and strawberry farms.
The hotel itself has a slightly dated appearance, but the rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout the stay. Buffet breakfast had a decent variety, though not extraordinary. Facilities like the indoor pool and fitness center are a nice touch, especially given the chilly weather.
Overall, it’s a good option for families or couples looking for a convenient and comfortable base to explore Cameron Highlands. With some updates to the interior, it could be even better.
Excellent service and superb facilities made my stay truly enjoyable. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. The seaview room was clean and comfortable, with modern amenities. Great food, a well-maintained pool, and a convenient location added to the experience. Highly recommended for a relaxing stay!
Great location, right in the middle of all the good food and night life. Can get noisy on the weekend, I stayed on 5th floor it was ok. The window soundproofing is good enough.
Room is clean and spacious, Aircon is a little weak, but it's alright. Toiletries are good and of high quality.
Breakfast is decent, not much spread butI really like the chocolate croissant especially. It has nasi lemak, various bread and croissant, salads, pasta, fruits. Coffee is very good too.
Basement parking is free and spacious, bright and plenty of lots. Safety should not be a concern.
I recommend this hotel and will definitely come back again.
The hotel is perfectly located with stunning views of the mountains and surrounding nature – truly a serene escape. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout our stay, which made the experience even more pleasant.
The apartment was very spacious and comfortably accommodated four guests per room. However, there were a few areas that could use improvement. The food options for vegetarians were quite limited, which was a bit disappointing. Additionally, the bellboy service for luggage had restricted timings, which was inconvenient at times.
There was also an oversight in placing the mandatory toiletries in two of our rooms, something that could easily be addressed with better preparation in the future.
Overall, it's a great place to stay for the views and comfort, with just a few service enhancements needed.
The good: The room was overall clean and the toilet was clean too. The water pressure in the shower is decently strong. Fresh sheets and pillow cases were provided, and the pillows did not stink like in many other hotels. The location is great (an 8-minute slow drive from First World Hotel), the check-in staff was friendly and so nice, and the wi-fi was fast. There's free parking (You will have to take the lift from the parking building to the 7th floor, then walk over to the tower you're living in, then take the lift in that tower to the floor you're staying in). Also, they provide complimentary bedroom slippers, shower gel/shampoo, soap, toothbrush/paste, vanity kit and razor. They have convenience stores and a few restaurants in the complex, so you won't go hungry and you can always buy your necessities just a few steps from your room.
The bad: The toilet door was creaking terribly, waking up your roommates when you go to the toilet in the middle of the night. The floor was very clean but also rather slippery from the floor detergent used. The water leaks out from the shower cubicle when bathing, so put your floor mat further away from the door when bathing so it doesn't get wet (same distance as the toilet bowl). The hot water does not run continuously - if you have a fantastic super hot shower for 15 to 20 minutes, the water will become cool and you'll have to wait another 20 minutes before the hot water tank heats up and you can have another fantastic super hot shower. And the pump that supplies water to the tap in the room sink makes a horribly loud sound whenever you switch it on and off.
Conclusion: I paid less than RM100 to stay in this room so I think it's definitely value for money. Love the location - it's higher than the Genting theme park area, cold and misty. Will come back again next time.
Got a free upgrade and stayed at Ion Majestic, love and wanted to try the heated pool but it was under maintenance so we wouldn't be able to try.
I was a regular at Ion Delemens before I tried to book with Trip.com, so definitely will prefer and choose to stay at Ion Majestic as it has easier access than Ion Delemens.
Killer view but I guess as not a morning person, I wouldn't prefer the bright curtains in the morning😅
Overall, 5 out of 5 still.
Japamala is a resort that I love so much that I am afraid to write a review for fear that more people will know about it and I won't be able to book it. Distinctive style design, private beach, wooden villas (large and comfortable enough), essential oil spa, barbecue, snorkeling; great breakfast; I have to mention that the staff from top to bottom are very friendly and polite. I came here with my friends for three days and two nights, and I will bring my family back. I recommend staying for 4-6 days to really enjoy the slow life.

Excellent service from the nice hotel team, was very welcoming and helpful! The sea-view room was pleasant and clean. Quite a variety of different cuisines for breakfast and love that they included a variety of Malaysian kuihs for breakfast which brings some nostalgia! In-room dining is a little bit costly but it is worth it. Clean beach and pool as well. Overall a very pleasant and relaxing stay.
This hotel is beautiful and very comfortable overall. I was assigned a room with a balcony overlooking the quiet and peaceful hills. However, this hotel does not have a designated parking space as normal, so, guests are free to park in any other parking lot with a maximum fee of RM11 (weekdays; I'm not sure about weekends though). If you decide not to drop off your bags at the lobby first, you will need to be ready for a long trip carrying your luggages from carpark to the hotel (I parked at Resort Hotel carpark as it has a bridge connecting to SkyWorlds Hotel). In addition, I was given a room in Valley Wing, which is the wing across from the lobby building, so the layout of the hotel is a little complicated, particularly from the lobby to the room. From the lobby (Level 1), I must therefore ascend to Level 3 and then cross an ”offset connections” to reach Valley Wing (Level 7). In any case, the personnel is incredibly welcoming and eager to assist visitors, especially when it comes to check-in. This hotel is worth the money because it's quite comfy. Without a doubt, I'll return.
Hotel ni ok. Stay sini 3h2m.

AAsputia(+) The check-in process is quiet fast. Need to deposit RM200 in cash. The room is spacious, and the kitchen set is super complete. Location is not too far from Genting Skyworlds, 10 mins driving. Surrounded by many food, stores n supermarket, and they're open until midnite.
(-) We cannot drop-off at the main lobby, so we need to get a short walk. The room smell is not too good, especially the bathroom (don't know why), so better always turn on the AC to help minimize the smell and buy some air freshener if possible. The furniture n interior lack of maintenance. No water supplies at all. Grab Car sometimes are very hard to find, but u can also try In-Drive.
AAnonymous UserIt was a wonderful time at the secluded resort. would like to point out a number of points for future residents:
Positives:
1. the houses are very nice! Even though they are a bit outdated, they are clean and still stylish. Everything you need is there, the staff carefully collected all the necessary hygiene supplies. Bathrobes, slippers - everything is there.
2. The territory of the hotel is just gorgeous - wild fauna, the first coastline, stunning views. Very nice pool.
3. Tranquility - no noisy parties - keep this in mind. This was a giant plus for us.
4. The staff is great. Very attentive, cordial, always happy to help
But there were a couple things that are still worth mentioning:
1. The biggest problem is the restaurant. Please solve the problem with the menu. Every time we had to guess - what is there and what is not. But everything that was, was delicious 🙂 Also - the staff is very cordial and helpful, but still slow - you have to wait a long time for your dish, and to invite the waiter is not always quick.
2. activities and SPA are expensive. I understand that the resort, but still in conditions of monopoly the price is overpriced.
3. There were stains on the bed linen, bathrobes and towels. This should also be noted.
But these minuses do not interfere with the enjoyment of this beautiful place! I recommend everyone to visit this beautiful resort!
GGLGLCheck-in was a bit confusing as a staff took my passport and asked us to take a seat, thereafter another staff came over to do the paperwork and said would msg via WhatsApp when the room was ready. By 3pm there was no msg received and we went to the counter and had to queue to check with the counter staff. When it was our turn the staff made a call and said the room was ready and asked us to go up to L3 to collect the keys. At L3 there is another counter which luckily we were first in queue but needed to wait while the staff verified and programmed the keys. The staff mentioned he would give us a room that was nearer. When we walked to our room, we saw a porter pulling our luggage ahead of us to another room and we needed to inform him the correct room that we were at, and the room was not set up initially such that we could not access the internet. Hence the first impression was not good.
For the first night the pillows smell and when the next day we asked for the bedsheets to be changed, there's no more smell so we suspect the sheets were not changed earlier.
Other than these, the room is spacious and has quite a few thoughtful features such as welcome fruits and mini cakes, ability to electronically control the temperature, lighting and curtains, and daily supply of bottled water, which made the stay comfortable.
GGuest UserI had a great stay at Genting First World Hotel. The location is excellent, with easy access to attractions, shops, and restaurants within the Genting Highlands area. The hotel lobby is spacious and check-in was smooth, especially with the self-service kiosks. The room was compact but clean and well-maintained — perfect for a short stay. The view from the window was amazing, especially with the surrounding mist and mountains. Staff were polite and helpful, and the overall experience was very convenient and enjoyable. Great value for the price. Would definitely stay here again!
AambrieeeBooked a one night stay for my parents, though hotel is in Genting, unfortunately the aircons were not functioning well for their rooms. Without proper functioning airconditioning, the air in the room can be a little stale. Despite having changed rooms, they faced the same air conditioning issue. The hotel need maintenance, staff were helpful when called for help
However, I would like to commend their CS staff. Very efficient and responsive, I booked wrong check in date via third party website, they helped me resolve under an hour
GGuest User**Amazing Stay at CHR**
I had the pleasure of staying at CHR for a weekend getaway, and it was truly an exceptional experience. From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel welcome with their warm and friendly service. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and I was impressed by the clean, modern lobby.
The room itself was spacious, tastefully decorated, and incredibly comfortable. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud, and the room was well-equipped with everything I needed, from a smart TV to a well-stocked minibar. I especially loved the beautiful view from the window, which made for a relaxing ambiance every morning.
Overall, I highly recommend CHR for anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable stay. I will definitely be returning the next time I’m in the area!
JJit TeeThe room was quite big and comfortable. However, one thing I didn’t like was the water pump system — it was very loud whenever guests in the neighboring rooms were showering. Also, there was no toothbrush or mineral water provided for guests. One of the power plugs was almost coming off and didn’t seem safe to use. I suggest the hotel management check all the power plugs properly before allowing guests to stay.
AAnonymous UserThis hotel is very clean and modern. The room was quiet and my stay was very satisfying. The hotel is located just in front of a mall, 5 minutes walking. Recommended for business travellers.
GGuest UserOur stay was absolutely magic. The location is stunning. The beaches are pristine and water is clear and warm. There are activities for everyone: golf course, games room, pool tables, swimming, scuba, snorkeling, fishing and more. We took advantage of the great conditions for snorkeling and managed to see young sharks and turtles. The garden chalets are clean and comfortable with air conditioning and the grounds are beautifully maintained. Most activities are within waking distance but they have open carts to transfer you around the resort if you so choose. Transfers to/from Tekek jetty are also included. All the staff went above and beyond to assist us during our stay. Thank you Adriana and everyone at Berjaya Tioman Resort for a once in a lifetime trip.
