đĄ Modest but Convenient Hotel Near the Beach
We stayed at this hotel in Pangkor, and overall, our experience was positive.
- đ **Location:** It's super close to the beach and the main street with cafes and shops â you really couldn't ask for a better spot.
- đ **Accommodation Style:** The hotel is made up of small bungalows, each with its own entrance. Most have a little terrace with a table. It's all very simple, but clean and pleasant.
- đïž **Amenities:** The bedding was clean, there was always hot water, and the air conditioners were powerful. The towels, however, are quite worn out and could use replacing.
- đ **Pool:** There is a pool, but it looked a bit gloomy, so we didn't use it.
- đ„ **Staff:** The owners are polite and friendly. No deposit is required. There's a front desk, but it's not open 24/7, which is something to keep in mind if you're checking in late.
đ **Bottom Line:** A simple yet tidy hotel with an excellent location. It's suitable for those looking for affordable accommodation by the sea without extravagant expectations. We were happy with our stay.

Guest UserWe are writing to express our disappointment regarding our recent stay. During booking, we explicitly requested a quiet room; however, we were assigned a connecting room. Unfortunately, due to the thin separation, we could hear the neighboring guests talking and moving items late into the night, which resulted in a sleepless night for us. While we understand the hotel was fully booked when we raised this with the front desk, we are frustrated that no alternative solution or assistance could be provided at the time.

ilkashongThe location very good. You can walk to many famous restaurants in Ipoh old town. All not more than ten minute, very convenient.
House is very big and bed is comfortable. But the smell from the sewer is very strong and extremely unpleasant. It helped when you close the toiletâs door.
Not much soundproof, you can hear other guests walking and chatting at the corridor. It can be quite noisy in the morning and night when people passing by.
The design of the car park is a nightmare. Itâs octagon shaped - really challenging when you drive the car up to level 7 in one go.
The management team quite approachable. They will collect RM300 for damage deposit through credit card. And will return in 1-2 days after your check out. ( I havenât checked if I received the return).

Marcus TeohVery strategic location but seems cleanliness big issue as toilet basin leaking and when we check in has some left over rubbish in the room and the pillow case seems long time didn't change. In terms of location it's very strategic travel within Ipoh town area. Do take note when exit lift area there a slight slope which me and my wife almost fell down. Think hotel must put a various sign on this too especially for elderly not aware such risk

The hotel offers simple and clean accommodations, and although it is an older establishment, it is well-maintained. A cash deposit of RM50 is required, which may be inconvenient for guests who do not typically carry much cash. The presence of numerous dogs along the pavement outside can be intimidating. My room faced the road, resulting in some traffic noise. Aeon is conveniently located across the road, accessible by car, and several restaurants are situated on the same row as the hotel.

Travel Lost
Iâm from Ipoh and brought my Friends here for a short gateway . What a wonderful hotel to stay . Walking distance to famous restaurants and attractions. Easy to grab . Beside a restaurant got a nice restaurant to dine in especially the tou fu fa !!! Much nicer than the famous one . Another Japanese restaurant just beside the hotel . I will definitely recommended for all .

For the price, I think it is a reasonable option. Â However objectively:
1. The air-cons don't work well - one of them was leaking. Â The staff was helpful in sending contractor to fix while we were out but due to miscommunication (because we have connecting rooms) the âfixâ was made to the air-con that wasn't leaking as badly as the one we complained about. Â To be fair they offered to swap rooms but we are a family of 5 and it was a hassle to repack and move so we declined.Â
2. The hot water was very good despite some reviews. Â However the shower head in one of the rooms were such that they don't stay put so occasional splashes happened.Â
3. One of the rooms wasn't cleaned (we have connecting room) - the âmake my roomâ card wasn't available in one of the room so we hung on just 1 of the room and left the connecting door open, thinking that the cleaners would clean both. Â They only cleaned 1. Â I guess we could have outright told reception instead of assuming that the cleaners will clean both rooms since we left the connecting door open.Â
4. I paid for extra bed - but the bedsheet was dusty - they changed it (or at least vacuumed it) after the first night.Â
5. The beds were quite comfortable, they offered free bottled water and coffee sachets, tv worked, fridges worked, rooms were decent sized, wifi was ok - ample street parking, the lights were ok but one of the rooms had stark white lights instead of the warmer ones. Location was good, just off the highway and across the eateries in Bercham.Â
6. The staff were helpful and friendly. Â Despite the complaints they texted me and constantly called to check if we needed towels (because one of the room weren't cleaned) and they asked twice if we wanted to change rooms (we didn't because of reason stated above).Â
7. Suggestion - build a small ramp to go up to the hotel from the road if possible. Â It will be helpful for luggage and older folks / wheelchairs etc.Â
All in all, it was a decent stay. Â Price was competitive but cleanliness could be better - and air-con/shower heads can be better maintained.Â
