Yalishandeluola1. The room facilities are outdated; the waterproof strip on the bathroom door fell off multiple times.
2. Mold was growing in the corners of the room.
3. The mahjong room and the barbecue area were closed, but we weren't informed. The three-day-two-night itinerary provided by the hotel also didn't include updated information. We arrived at the mahjong room only to find it closed, with no notice at the entrance and no staff around. After searching for a while, we were finally told it was closed for maintenance.
On the day of checkout, the manager called to ask for feedback, which was a nice touch – at least they showed good attitude. We stayed in the Phoenix Pool Triple Villa, sharing a pool with another family. The view was still great, but the breakfast wasn't as good as it was ten years ago.

LingxiOur stay was greatly enhanced by Gina. The room was spotlessly clean, including the bedding, and the overall environment was quiet and comfortable. All the facilities were well-maintained. Gina's service was gentle and polite, and her attention to detail was exceptional. Any requests were addressed promptly. Due to Sanya's subtropical climate, the room always felt a bit humid, but Gina understood the situation and quickly resolved it, also providing some helpful conveniences, which we really appreciated. The hotel's location is excellent, making it convenient for dining and getting around. Overall, the value for money is good, and you can see the hotel's dedication in many small details. Just for Gina, it deserves a five-star rating! [Strong][Strong][Strong]

Guest UserSanya Haitang Bay Wanda Realm was an absolute gem! The location is incredible, right next to the duty-free shop. After a shopping spree, it was just a few steps back to the hotel, making getting around incredibly convenient. The hotel grounds are massive, with coconut groves and ocean views everywhere you look – every photo is Instagram-worthy. Ella provided such thoughtful service, always there for any little thing we needed, taking care of everything down to the last detail. All I had to do was eat, drink, play, and relax [heart emoji]. I didn't have to worry about a thing, the experience was top-notch. I'll definitely be staying here again next time I'm in Sanya! [rose emoji]

Guest UserFive out of five stars, highly recommended! This well-established five-star hotel in Sanya Bay offers incredible value for money. It's super close to the airport, just a ten-minute taxi ride away. The hotel has a private underground passage directly to Coconut Dream Corridor Beach, so you don't have to cross any roads, which is really reassuring. There's a huge garden and several swimming pools, plus excellent facilities for kids. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the breakfast spread is extensive. The staff are warm and enthusiastic, making our family vacation incredibly comfortable. The complimentary travel photography service was excellent and produced some fantastic shots. We are very satisfied and will definitely choose this hotel again next time we visit Sanya!

Guest UserAn unexpectedly perfect vacation! The hotel's location is superb, right next to the duty-free city. The sea-view room offers a spectacular view, and we fell asleep to the sound of waves every night. There are plenty of parent-child facilities, and our child had so much fun at the water park they didn't want to leave.
**I have to give a special shout-out to our butler, Bonnie!** She's beautiful, kind-hearted, and incredibly professional. She personally greeted us in the lobby upon arrival and checked in on us throughout our stay. She even secretly sent a cake and a doll for our child's birthday, which made our little one incredibly happy. She also helped us get the latest possible check-out time when we left, which we truly appreciated.
Great facilities are a given, but excellent service truly makes a difference. Bonnie made this trip feel like home. Highly recommended! 🌟

Guest UserIt felt like the hotel mainly relied on the butler to fix issues, and the concierge service was decent, but everything else was just so-so.
When checking in, the front desk staff gave off a vibe like they couldn't care less if we stayed or not. I immediately wanted to leave a bad review, but the butler appeared just in time, so I held back.
Later, after I reported a strange smell in the room, the butler proactively arranged a room change. Around 10 PM, we moved to the new room and requested an extra child bed rail. Here's the key point – the attendant was a middle-aged woman. Seeing her age, I even helped her lift the mattress to install the bed rail, but she had a sour face the entire time. When she left after installing it, she even knocked the 'do not disturb' sign off the doorknob and didn't pick it up; I had to pick it up myself. Even worse, before she left, she blurted out, ”If you want to change again, there are no more rooms, alright?” I was baffled. You're just a room attendant, do you decide whether there are rooms available? Such disruptive comments only make guests feel your impatience and complaints, doing nothing to solve the problem, but instead escalating tensions.
As it turned out, the new room had other problems, and we were tired and couldn't be bothered to move again, so we just went back to our original room. Because of the room change hassle, the next morning we realized we were missing two sets of dental kits, one adult and one child. We called to have them delivered, and here's another key point – first, there was a ring, which we thought was the doorbell, but when we opened the door, no one was there. Then it rang a second time, and we realized it was the in-room phone. We answered and were told the dental kits had been delivered and left outside the door. We opened the door again only to find them simply placed on the ground. We were in the room; couldn't you have rung the doorbell and handed them to us? Or if you prefer to leave them at the door, fine, but these are items meant for our mouths! Even if they have an outer package, couldn't you at least put them in a basket or something? What's the deal with just putting them on the ground?!

travellerjingI had a pleasant stay at Atour Hotel Haikou Wanguo Metropolitan Qilou Old Street. Prior to arrival, I requested an early check-in as well as a high-floor room away from the lifts if possible, and the hotel accommodated both requests perfectly. The room was located on a high floor and offered a fantastic 270-degree panoramic view, which was undoubtedly the highlight of my stay.
The front desk team was exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout. Special thanks to Front Desk Manager 万新, team member 幸怡, and the rest of the team, who went above and beyond in assisting with the collection of multiple parcels before my arrival. Their proactive assistance and warm hospitality were greatly appreciated. Communication was also very convenient, as the front desk was highly responsive via WeChat and quick to assist whenever needed.
Some feedback during the stay:
The room itself had a somewhat unconventional layout, likely due to the building's structure and the corner positioning required to achieve the panoramic view - totally understandable and appreciate the Front Desk for explaining it to me upon my arrival.
From previous reviews, I had expected the room to feature smart controls (possibly Xiaodu, heated/automated toilet bowl as seen on other reviews), but I was not briefed on any smart room functions during check-in and could not seem to activate them myself. This was not a major issue, but a brief introduction during check-in or a simple user guide in the room would have been helpful.
The panoramic view was absolutely stunning, especially during the day and around sunset. One thing to note, however, is that the floor-to-ceiling windows allow a significant amount of sunlight into the room. On particularly sunny days, the room could feel quite warm even with the air-conditioning running at full blast. Blackout curtains are provided, of course, but drawing them somewhat defeats the purpose of enjoying such a spectacular view.
Breakfast was decent, offering a reasonable variety of options, although nothing particularly stood out. It was perfectly adequate for starting the day, but not one of the hotel's main highlights. One small observation regarding housekeeping: on my third morning, while I was heading out for breakfast, a housekeeper casually asked me in the corridor whether I was ”still staying today.” I understood that she was likely trying to confirm whether the room required servicing or whether I would be checking out, but the phrasing felt a little awkward. A more guest-friendly way of asking might create a better impression.
A couple of other points worth noting: sound insulation around the room doors could be improved, as neighbouring room doors closing could be quite noticeable. In addition, the room door requires a firm push to shut completely; otherwise, an alarm will sound. There were also some mosquitoes around the hotel premises, although the room was thoughtfully equipped with an electronic mosquito repellent.
The hotel's location is reasonably convenient, but it is worth noting that it is not quite as close to Qilou Old Street and some of the nearby attractions as I had initially expected. While the area is technically walkable, Haikou's heat and humidity can make the walk feel much longer and less pleasant, especially during the day. In practice, I often found myself opting for Didi (online-hailing app)instead. Not a major drawback, but something to keep in mind if you plan to explore the area primarily on foot
Overall, the excellent service, responsive staff, and spectacular panoramic view made for a very enjoyable stay. Despite a few minor quirks, I would happily stay here again on a future visit to Haikou.

Mermaid 周慧Overall, I had a really enjoyable stay at this hotel. It’s worth noting that the hotel caters primarily to Russian tourists, so much of the signage, tours and information are aimed at Russian guests. As an English speaker, this sometimes made things a little more difficult, but it didn’t stop me from enjoying my holiday.
When I arrived, I had a couple of issues with my room. The hot tub took over an hour to fill, and the water wouldn’t stay warm while it was running, so I wasn’t really able to enjoy it. The charging ports in the room also weren’t working, although the hotel kindly provided me with an adapter, which solved that problem. Unfortunately, the hot tub issue was never resolved.
The breakfast was very good, with a nice variety of food each morning. The swimming pool was also lovely—warm, clean and a great place to relax.
My biggest concern was the fish spa. I initially thought seeing a dead fish was just a one-off, but I noticed dead fish in the spa every day during my stay. That made me question how well the spa was being maintained, and I hope the hotel looks into this.
The staff were always kind, polite and helpful, and despite the few issues, I had a lovely stay overall. With a little more attention to maintenance, particularly in the fish spa and the hot tub, this hotel would be even better.

This was my first time in Sanya, and while I initially wanted to stay at Atlantis, the price was too high. So, I settled for the Sheraton, cautiously optimistic. We arrived in the evening, and after dinner, it was already past 10 PM. The kids were exhausted, so we let them rest. The next morning, I woke up, sat on the balcony, poured myself a hot cup of tea, and enjoyed the Sanya breeze – salty, cool, and soft like coconut, incredibly comfortable. In front of me were swimming pools of all shapes and sizes. The kids were bouncing with excitement! 'Yes,' we confirmed, 'today we're staying at the hotel to play.' No Atlantis Waterpark, no beach (even though it's right there), but the pools kept them completely captivated. It was a perfect, albeit exhausting, day. They have pools suitable for all ages, truly comprehensive, and you can even rent inner tubes and other equipment for free. The hotel also has an indoor playground that the kids will absolutely love. Plus, the hotel organizes nearly ten different children's activities at various times throughout the day, which are perfect for little ones to enjoy. I'm really happy with this choice; it's definitely a great place for a family vacation with kids.

Guest UserThe hotel feels a bit old and the rooms are like those in a budget hotel. The shower, in particular, was quite subpar. However, the location is excellent, with direct access to the beach right from the outdoor pool. Soundproofing isn't great; I could hear people's phones ringing in the hallway and the washing machines from the laundry room frequently at night. The mattress was quite comfortable, though. I wouldn't recommend coming during peak season; the prices are too inflated. The complimentary photoshoot was mediocre, with poor composition. But it was nice that they didn't push sales or force us to buy anything.
