Mindy from Guest Relations was incredibly thoughtful and pre-arranged a room with stunning views of the city's nightscape and Quancheng Square. She gave us a warm welcome upon check-in and introduced us to the hotel. The location was super convenient – just across the street from Henglong Plaza, making shopping and dining a breeze. In the evenings, a pleasant 20-minute stroll led us straight to Daming Lake and Chaoran Tower to see the illuminations, making our itinerary incredibly relaxed.

This was my first time staying at an Atour Light hotel. The style is really interesting, with a predominantly blue theme, making it feel more geared towards a younger crowd. The room size was pretty standard, not particularly large, but the cleanliness and service were excellent in every aspect. The front desk staff was very enthusiastic and quickly helped with any requests we had. However, the biggest issue with the room was the poor soundproofing. You could clearly hear people laughing or talking loudly in nearby rooms. This is definitely something that could use improvement.

The room is relatively large, the overall supporting facilities are relatively complete, the hygiene is clean and tidy, and it feels particularly comfortable. The service is thoughtful and the attitude is good. The guests are treated warmly, and the surrounding environment is beautiful.

I spent a weekend here, and it was a great experience! My apartment was absolutely fantastic, offering breathtaking views from the 42nd floor. Waking up to that sea view every morning was truly a highlight of my stay. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, making it a perfect place to relax after a long day. The facilities and services provided by the hotel are top‑notch. The hotel staff are helpful and professional. I am glad I chose this hotel for my trip! I genuinely enjoyed every moment spent there. This stay far exceeded my expectations. The hotel's location is excellent, with plenty of shops, supermarkets, and restaurants nearby, and getting a taxi is very convenient. Jade was very friendly, and the check-in process was quick and smooth. The room was spotlessly clean, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the room was well soundproofed, making for a very quiet night. Hot water supply in the bathroom was stable, and all the facilities were new and complete. The staff were responsive, and the overall environment was clean and quiet. It offers outstanding value for money, perfect for both short trips and temporary stays. I will definitely choose this hotel again for my next trip.

It's great value for money and perfectly suited for family vacations with kids, as well as leisure and wellness retreats. 1. Location and Views The hotel is about 50 kilometers from downtown Qingdao. While it's relatively remote, this distance from the city's hustle and bustle ensures a wonderful sense of tranquility. It's right next to Aoshan Bay's kilometer-long golden beach, with direct access downstairs. The sea views are outstanding, and some sea-view rooms boast a panoramic 270-degree vista, perfect for enjoying the ocean and taking photos. The hotel itself features a Mediterranean European style, with an exterior resembling a dream castle and a grand, elegantly decorated lobby. Next to the hotel, there are numerous indoor and outdoor hot springs with crystal-clear water, ideal for a relaxing soak.

The Westin Qingdao has an excellent location, very close to May Fourth Square and the commercial district, making it super convenient for getting around, sightseeing, shopping, and finding places to eat. Staying on the Executive Floor offered outstanding views; I could take in the stunning sea views right from my window. The Executive Lounge experience was superb, with a wide variety of food. The staff were attentive and responsive, providing meticulous service throughout my stay. It was a comfortable and pleasant stay, perfect for a trip to Qingdao.

Excellent value for money! The hot water was consistent and the Wi-Fi was fast. The lobby was clean and simply designed. The smart toilet, a Geberit, was as comfortable as the one at home. The mattress and bedding were top-notch! Definitely recommend. Yulia provided thoughtful and attentive service. A very satisfying experience, I'll recommend it to friends and family visiting Qingdao.

This is no doubt that No 8 Courtyard Homestay is beautiful place to stay. As international visitors to China it was exactly as we hoped for when we booked. Authentic traditional Chinese accommodation with modern hotel facilities in a fabulous location. It’s very quiet despite the proximity to the busier areas nearby. However, we were very disappointed to find the Homestay misrepresents information about smoking that was important to our accomodation choices and selection on Trip.com. As the photo from the website below shows, No Smoking in Public Areas, there is a Smoking Area. The smell of cigarette smoke was very evident on our arrival in both the courtyard, and the internal reception area. We questioned the hotel receptionist who explained smoking is permitted in certain areas, including the Courtyard that guests enter and exit every time to go in or out of the Homestay. The Courtyard is an outdoor public space and the Homestay smoking area (as per the photo of the ashtray in the Courtyard below). It’s unavoidable. While the reception area is internal, the receptionist explained guests are asked not to smoke if they are smoking. Furthermore, the Homestay provides hotel style ashtrays as the entrances to the elevator and we pointed out there was a cigarette butt in the ashtray, evidence of smoking despite the information on Trip.com. There were no visible ‘no smoking signs’. This meant that we would not enjoy the beautiful public spaces of eitber the Courtyard or the Reception area without cigarette smoke or other guests smoking. The receptionist suggested to us we find another hotel, at nearly 10pm we found this was unsatisfactory. She offered for us to stay and pay one night (of our 3 night booking) but this was a problem for our itinerary. The following day we were offered to change to a room with its own courtyard which we did. However, we would never have booked this accommodation if the correct information about smoking by the Homestay was on Trip.com. As hotel guests have to trust 100 hundred percent that the information on the website is accurate and we reiterated this when the manager came to meet us. The filters for non smoking on Trip.com are very good. But, the Homestay allows smoking in the outside public areas, and internal public areas are only managed if the staff ask the guests not to smoke. The reception told us that does not stop the guests from smoking and they can’t control that. The manager said the Homestay would review its smoking policy. Regardless of this, It is necessary for the Homestay not to misrepresent information but to provide accurate information on their booking platforms.
