Holiday Inn Guoshang (Tianfu International Airport Branch)

Three Forks Lake/Tianfu Airport (In Construction) Area
The location is remote, totally unexpected. We arrived late past 12am, the person who picked us up came on time, however, a heads up would be well appreciated as the way to the hotel was a dark, unlit, small road. We were all alert and concerned about where we were heading. A real scare!! Other than that, everything is okay for a night stay.
Pure Cloud Hotel

Qingyin Pavilion-Wannian Temple
We initially chose Pure Cloud Hotel for its proximity to Wuxiangang Bus Station and its recent opening. The drive up the narrow mountain road, full of sharp turns, was a bit unsettling for our city Didi driver, so we were secretly relieved (as was our driver) when we finally arrived. At first glance, the hotel seemed quite simple, and I wasn’t entirely sure I had made the right choice. However, any lingering doubts were quickly washed away by the warm welcome from Derek, the hotel manager, and the staff. When we got to our room, it was pure joy! The minimalist design is visually soothing, and the balcony with its expansive mountain views made us feel like just hanging around and doing nothing was more than enough. If you're the kind of traveler who feels guilty about not doing anything, rest assured that the hotel is in a beautiful section of the mountain. There's a lovely old temple and a sacred spring pond nearby—Zhongfeng Temple and Shenshui Pavilion, I believe. You’ll also enjoy the energy of hikers rushing up and down the mountain. There are enough people to make it lively but not overwhelmingly crowded like Leidongping or Jinding, where the crowds can be exhausting. A special mention goes to Derek, who exceeded all our expectations. His kindness and professionalism reminded me of the kind of service you expect from a six-star hotel, where every need is anticipated. Derek went above and beyond, making our journey to Golden Summit and onward to Leshan much smoother and more enjoyable. Since we speak minimal Chinese, he kindly helped us communicate with the next hotel, explaining how to get there. He even offered us a free ride to the bus station when we struggled to find a Didi in the area. Derek also helped arrange our transfer to Leshan. We were incredibly impressed and grateful for his assistance. If I had to suggest one area for improvement, I’d say the dinner options could use some enhancement to match the overall excellence of the stay. A small tip: If your goal is to catch the sunrise and sunset at Golden Summit, you'll need to stay at one of the mountaintop hotels near Jinding. Logistically, getting to these hotels involves taking a bus from Baoguosi or Wuxiangang Station to Leidongping, then a cable car to the upper platform, followed by a roughly one-hour hike with steep steps to Jinding. It's manageable with a backpack, but not ideal with large luggage. That’s why we chose Pure Cloud Hotel for its close proximity to Wuxiangang Bus Station, leaving our luggage there and heading up the mountain with just our backpacks.

”Create the wilderness in the south, stay humble and return to the countryside”, the name is full of poetry and picturesqueness, but I went there because of the zero negative reviews. I thought what kind of B&B makes everyone like it so much that I can't bear to leave negative reviews. Stayed for one night and it was a really different experience. Simple, ancient style, ancient charm and a bit of Zen. If you wander around the courtyard for nothing, you will find a lot of ingenuity, such as throwing pots, shooting arrows, teasing the parrot that can only bark but cannot speak, and writing calligraphy; you can also watch Meditate, meditate, relax, and forget the troubles of the world with eyes full of green. In front of the hall, there is a cactus owned by Mr. Gu, who is over 80 years old, and it makes me deeply moved. I ate breakfast while smelling the fragrance of books. It was a really different feeling. The breakfast and dinner were exquisite and rich, and many arrangements surprised you. The staff are friendly and make you feel at home, all in all a pleasant trip.
Yushe Yunshan Designer Hot Spring Hotel (Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area Visitor Center)
4.7/53030 Reviews
The hotel is very new and modernly equipped. It even has voice activated AC, music, alarm clock, etc. But you have to speak Chinese to Xiao Ai Tongxue (the voice activated device's name, like Siri in iPhone). I would say Yushe Yunshan is a 4* or 4,5* hotel at most. However, the hotel does offer pick up/delivery from/to the bus station and from/to Jiuzhai scenic areas. The front desk staffs and drivers were all very friendly and helpful, although they don't speak English. But of course we can use Google translate to communicate with them.

I had a wonderful stay at this accommodation! The staff gave us a warm welcome and provided excellent service throughout our stay. As soon as I got off the car in front of the property, a staff member helped carry my luggage and escorted me to the accommodation. They thoroughly explained all the details about the property, which was very helpful. The staff spoke English fluently, so there’s no need to worry about communication, and they made every effort to understand our needs. I arrived in the afternoon, so I took some time to rest and recover from the travel fatigue. The room was clean and spacious. I chose a twin room, and the size was perfect for two people. The room was fully equipped with amenities such as drinking water, a hairdryer, and toiletries (the soap smelled amazing!). The bed was clean, soft, and very comfortable—it kept me warm and cozy even though it was around -4°C outside. The floor had a heater, and the staff made sure to explain everything clearly. There were extra blankets provided in the bedside cabinet and two types of indoor slippers available. The room also had a water heater, which worked perfectly. For meals, there’s a dining area downstairs. The food was delicious and served in generous portions. The hot tea was particularly delightful, and they also offered a variety of coffee and other drinks to choose from. I highly recommend trying the hotpot here—it was incredibly tasty! The staff went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect and paid great attention to detail. One of the staff members, who might also be the owner, kindly arranged a taxi for us to visit Shuangqiaogou. They also helped us book transportation back to Chengdu, with an additional service fee of 10 yuan per person. They were so thoughtful and accommodating! I was genuinely happy with my choice to stay here, and there was nothing disappointing about the experience. It was worth every penny and exceeded my expectations in every way. I even met many Thai travelers during my stay, so it was lively and far from lonely! If you’re unsure about staying here, I highly recommend this place—you won’t regret it. I truly hope to return someday! <3
Siguniang Mountain Qingfeng Xiaozhu Homestay

The quality of this hotel is comparable to a hotel with more than four stars. Whether it is hardware or the entire service details, it really took a lot of thought. It's worth it. It's been more than ten days. This is the most loving, warm and perfect place I feel. Let me talk about the location of this hotel first. The large yard is looking at the water and the mountains. The yard is large and the atmosphere is very harmonious with the people here. Besides the room hardware, the room is very new, the large floor-to-ceiling windows are super cool to see the snow scene, and you can see the moon and stars in bed at night. The view is really beautiful. By the way, it is outdated at seven o'clock in the evening, and the sunset is really drunk. The homestay is full of attractions. The room uses old teak material furniture, real materials, it is recast, the room has some plant ornaments picked on the mountain, grass and stones, natural at the same time, feel the boss's intentions, but also feel their love of nature. The most worth mentioning is that the hot bath is very comfortable and the things used are very high quality. There is also a scripture-copying area in the room. As soon as I went to the room, the waiter sister made a pot of tea and sent it over, as well as a plate of nuts and a blue apple. Our standard room has a large bed, the configuration of the family parent-child room, and there are water heating blankets in the room, which is very warm. Although the hotel is not high, there is an elevator. The roof is a tatami, and it is super comfortable to drink tea in the sun during the day. There are many public areas of this hotel, and it is very quiet and not noisy at all. In the evening, I ate at the hotel, while roasting the stove, and eating the soup pot. We even drank a few bowls of soup. I heard that the master was a Cantonese. Cantonese made food. It was really good and must be recommended. The boss is very enthusiastic, very knowledgeable cultural person, very good to people. When we were eating, someone in the neighbor asked him to adjust the space with their homestay (this hotel should have been adjusted, it is very feeling and quality). We ate for almost two hours. The boss should have been there for more than an hour. The owner of the other homestay came to thank him in person, and also sent tea. I can see that the other party is very grateful. We were fortunate enough to meet such a homestay owner. After the meal, we had a chat with the fire and had a very pleasant chat. I was very satisfied with this homestay. I heard that it was newly picked up and the price was much cheaper than the surrounding homestays. Sincerely recommend. And super friendly to dogs, friends who take pets out to play, really recommend staying at their home.

Qingcheng Mountain and Tai'An Ancient Town
As soon as the lockdown was lifted in Chengdu, we went to Mount Qingcheng on September 19. There were very few people affected by the light rain. The hotel is located in the Houshan Scenic Spot of Mount Qingcheng (the ticket for the scenic spot is 20 yuan) and it is in the ancient town of Tai'an. There is a disposable toilet seat, full of details! Interior decoration and hygiene are very good! The boss is very accommodating, and the experience of staying is very good! There are a lot of home-cooked dishes and local specialties nearby (recommended to try the three kinds of wax, all kinds of wild vegetables, steamed fish), we basically eat all the local wild vegetables and it tastes good! I stayed for two days in a row and it was very comfortable. It is worth staying for a few more days when I have time to experience the quiet environment in the mountains!
Yue Leshan River View Hotel(Shangzhongshun commercial street branch)
4.7/5161 Reviews
An antique hotel (picture 2, panoramic view of the hotel taken on the Leshan Giant Buddha cruise). The riverside room is very good. There is no elevator but there is someone to carry the luggage. There are a lot of good food in the surrounding area, which is even better than Zhanggongqiao, Internet Celebrity Street. The only drawback is that after the lights are turned off, the projection indicator light remains on and cannot be turned off, which may easily affect people with poor sleep.

Shangri-La Town
This hotel is located a little too far walking distance from the town (15-20 mins all downhill) however, it is more affordable so a good place to stay if you are more on a budget like us! The man at the front desk was not very welcoming when we first arrived. He literally pointed at the Sichuan app and wanted our green codes NOW!!!!!! A quick hello or welcome (even in Chinese) would have made us feel a little more comfortable upon our arrival after an 8 hour journey! That being said, check-in was super fast which was much appreciated and the room was clean and comfortable. We struggled to actually sleep because other occupants were yelling in the hallways constantly. My husband had to tell people to be quiet!!! I think hotels should make more of an effort to ensure that hallways are NOT a space for loud conversation! Please remind your guests to respect the space in which they share with others. The following day, the same man who checked us in was much nicer and said a friendly goodbye. That made us feel a little better about our stay. I rated amenities lower due to no water bottles in the room and no information given to us regarding what and where available amenities even were. I believe this information should be shared during check in and/or explanations available in each room for guests to easily access. Overall, it was a decent stay but I would not return to this hotel. Service is such a big part of a hotel experience and if guests do not feel welcome, there is no point staying in that place.
Four Points By Sheraton Chengdu, Anren
4.7/51260 Reviews
This time I came on a business trip and my friend helped me book a hotel. It should be the best hotel in Anren. The service is five-star and very thoughtful, especially Vicky and Chris at the front desk. After checking in, they helped me take my luggage to the room. The carpet in the corridor looks a bit old, but the overall decoration of the room is relatively new. I didn't expect that I could swim when I returned to the hotel after 9 o'clock in the evening. This is quite a surprise! Breakfast has local beef noodles and regular Xishi breakfast. The taste is quite satisfactory, a normal five-star hotel breakfast. If I have the opportunity to bring my family to Anren for a trip, I will probably stay at this Sheraton!
